We would not use Clark Electric again. Probably would not selected to use them initially, but our builder had worked with them on previous projects. Obviously, he has had better experiences with them than we have. Disappointments were on several levels in Part 1 (existing home) and Part 2 (new addition). PART 1 UNPROFESSIONAL: Electricians were unprofessional. The young guy wore headphones the whole time, which prevented him from hearing what the older guy was saying to him. This caused the old guy to speak/yell extremely loudly at the young guy from across the house all day long. In comparison, when we had two guys working on fire sprinklers, they would call each other on their cellphones so that they could hear each other when one was in the attic and the other was downstairs in the house. They also brought their own radio, and had it blaring with heavy metal music while they worked. I could never hear myself think. LACK OF EFFECTIVENESS & EFFICIENCY: They had a nonstop personal conversation almost the entire time they were in hearing distance of each other [and the younger guy didn't have his earbuds in]. It often impacted their efficiency since they would slow down what they were doing as they talked or argued. Whenever something electrical wasn't working right, they would blame some other electrician that worked on it -- even ones associated their same company. QUALITY They didn't seem to know what they were doing. Light switches and outlets that they installed were often buzzing. They installed some light switch plates upside down, which was obvious when the brand name was upside down on the plate. We had to ask them to turn rightside-up. As it relates to LEDs, they definitely do not seem to know what they're doing here. We had them install dimmers on LED lights, and now those lights never turn off completely and buzz when they are on the lowest setting. They are also messy. They never cleaned up their cuttings, and left dirty fingerprints and screwdriver markings on the walls near the switch plates they worked on. PRICING They nickeled-and-dimed us for everything, and charged us for two guys by the hour each day -- when clearly, the younger guy had no idea what he was doing. The older guy was always telling the younger guy why he was doing something -- and when the younger guy didn't do something right, the older one would scold him [very loudly]. That was painful to hear day in and day out. PART 2 In the new addition, they didn't center the placement for ceiling pendant light. We discovered this after drywall but before texture/paint, so luckily were able to have it moved. This is pretty basic, they had worked with us for months, and they should've known better than to place it off-center. ONE EXCEPTION: At the very beginning of our project, they had a guy working with us who was very good. However, he didn't stay assigned to our project, and the end result with the remaining guys for the subsequent four months was excruciating. PUNCTUALITY They were very punctual. Here every day by 730am, and they left everyday sharp at 330pm -- although on many occasions they did leave earlier than that when there was still work to do.
