Clean As A Whistle Inc

An area of our home had a severe problem with odor, and at the point when we hired Clean as a Whistle our options were to try to get the area cleaned, or to replace the carpeting in the entire upstairs of our house. We knew the problem was severe, but we were impressed by Clean as a Whistle great reviews as a quality contractor who guaranteed their work so we decided to give them a shot, thinking we had nothing to lose. We felt that the price was very expensive, but again the problem was pretty bad so we were just happy to find someone who said they could take care of it. It took a few weeks to schedule the estimate and then the cleaning, but I have nothing but good things to say about the professionalism of the entire staff I dealt with. Everyone from the sales rep on the phone to the folks who performed the work was great. After they performed the treatment, the odor was diminished but definitely not gone. I called them back and they were extremely apologetic and sent someone out immediately to take a look at the problem. They ended up sending a crew out to re-clean the surface area twice, and finally on the fourth visit they re-did the entire front/back treatment. they were extremely accommodating and it was obvious that they really wanted to get the job done right. They went above and beyond in their efforts, I really appreciated that. However, in the end and even after three return visits, the odor is still terrible and I'm going to have to replace the carpet anyway. I couldn't fault their efforts, but the work just didn't do what it was supposed to do and I asked them to honor their money-back guarantee. They said they would do so, I checked what they refunded though, it turns out they only refunded about half of the $620 that I paid. I called to let them know of the mistake, and they said that they were only going to refund the $320 billed for odor treatment, but that the restretching and seam repair required to lay the carpet back down had been performed to my satisfaction so they were not going to refund that part of my bill. I couldn't believe it! They can't perform their "major odor treatment" without pulling up the carpet, because that's part of what the treatment entails. I hired them to do an odor treatment, they couldn't do the odor treatment without pulling the carpet up and laying it back down, and I certainly didn't hire them to pull it up and restretch just for the heck of it, so I felt that this interpretation of their policy was quite dishonest. To add insult to injury, because their work wasn't satisfactory, I've now been blacklisted from ever using their company again. Not that I'd want to at this point, but it's still rather insulting. I hired the company based on the fact that they guaranteed their work, and I expected them to honor that. "50% Money-Back Guarantee!" just doesn't have the same effect...

The rugs were very nicely packaged. When we inspected the cleaned rugs, they looked just like they did before the storm - it was amazing! They did a great job. They are not cheap, but they are worth it!

Their sales man was very knowledgeable and polite and precise in taking measurements of each room. Their service men were polite, clean, neat, and did an admirable job getting out every spot, stain and dog-urine smell. When I later discovered one spot that was in a corner and couldn't be seen too well, they came RIGHT back out and removed it. They even left me a bottle of cleaning fluid, which I've been using ever since (and it works very well). The cleaning method they use doesn't leave any soap or dirt on the carpet. I recommend them highly; their higher-than-average price is warranted by the service they provide and the great job they do. It was several years ago that they cleaned the carpeting, and I haven't had to have it recleaned since then (I'm very careful with it, and no one walks on it except me, and that only in clean bare feet or socks!).

It was a very good experience. The technicians arrived on time (actually a little early, but they called first to make sure it was ok). They looked over the carpet and listened to my concerns about stained areas and pet odors. We discussed the pros and cons of applying carpet protector and antibacterial treatment. The technicians then went to work and finished ahead of schedule--about 1 1/2 hours total. We inspected finished carpet and it exceeded my expectations, considering the age (25 years) and condition (two kids, many pets) of the carpeting.

They did a great job. They are expensive. I would use them again.

The experience was very good. Eduardo came to give me a quote within 60 mins of my calling the main office. The bid was high, but I needed it all done quickly. Eduardo and Joshua arrived on Friday morning exactly as promised at 9am. They went right to work cleaning tile and marble. They returned on Saturday to complete the sealing of the tile / grout, and to do the cleaning of the carpet and hardwood. They had all the necessary equipment, worked very efficiently and completed the tasks as agreed. The floors look great.

They did a great job. They were not cheap but I felt their price was worth it. They explained everything they were doing, which I really liked.

The workers were young and did a good job. However I felt that they were expensive for the work they did but I went ahead because they were already there and didn't think that they would cost as much as it did. I wasn't disappointed in their work but in their price.

I paid a lot and was not satisfied with the results or the time they spent for the amount they charged.

I use them all the time and they are fabulous. Very professional Always on time. They wear uniforms and drive a marked company vehicle. Always in everyway very professional. Not the cheapest but the best.

It was an excellent experience, the quality of the job was very good, they were very clean and they were good to explain the process to us, they moved everything around for us, and they did a very good job.

They were a very professional company. They showed up on time. They paid very close attention to detail. They would move furniture to clean underneath it. They also put down a protective foam under the legs so the carpet could dry correctly under the legs. The carpets smelled really good and looked very clean. They provided good, thorough work. They also gave me tips and advice to keep the carpets looking their best.

Technician who came was very friendly. He explained what he was doing and what to expect. Helped me move a small amount of furniture. Was done in a timely manner. Very happy with this company.

This is a great company! They take the time to find out what you want, they explain their services clearly, they were punctual. The technicians that came to do the work were friendly and professional. And the job they did on my off-white sofa and carpet was amazing. Both look like new.

I called Clean as a Whistle and made an appointment for less than a week away. The phone scheduler was courteous and professional. The cleaners showed up on time and finished in less than an hour. They were very neat, cleaned up after they were finished, and were very professional.

The technician arrived within the time period expected and was very courteous and well-spoken. I showed him the rooms to be cleaned and the pet stains of specific interest. He committed to doing his best with the stained areas but advised that the company was unable to guarantee pet stains. He said he would handle moving the smaller furniture items from each room and went right to work. When finished we looked at the rooms together and he showed me how he had placed protective papers or Styrofoam pieces under the moved furniture to protect the still-wet carpet. Although carpets were still wet at the time, the pet stain areas did look cleaner. (Now the carpets have dried, I no longer see any evidence of the pet stains!) Overall my experience and the results were fantastic! Only drawback in the whole experience was when it was time to complete the bill and pay, the technician offered to spray the carpets with a protective coating for $250 but in same breath added that I could have it at a discounted rate "just between us." When I followed up to clarify if the discount was supported by his company and he confirmed that it would not be on the paperwork, I declined the additional service.

It was a good experience. They were really great. They were able to remove pets stains. Other companies charge extra for that but, they did not. They have great technicians who are very neat, thorough, and professional.

They did a good job with the carpets. I will definitely use them again in the future. They were above average service people.

My experience with them couldn't be better. I have been using them for years. I wouldn't use anyone else. I recommend them and I will use them again.

Excellent service. The price was almost the same as estimated over the phone. The results were better than expected! Some tough pet stains remained, but were significantly reduced. One of the technicians took the time to tell me how to treat the pet stains correctly to ensure we don't set the stain in and left me a bottle of cleaning stuff, which was a nice touch. Both guys were pleasant and extremely respectful of our furniture etc. Sadly the carpet they just cleaned flooded on the bottom floor due to Ike, I may have to call them again sooner than expected!

I have used them before and have had no problems with them at all. I have recommended them to some friends who are very pleased with their work. They show up on time and do it on time.

Our carpet is 16 years old. Our new puppy had soiled in several areas. They got all the stains out. They could not believe the carpet was that old. We noticed how clean and fresh the carpet was as soon as it dried. Would definitely use this company again. Extremely professional and the gentleman on the phone is so polite and knowledgeable. It has been at least a month and the carpet still looks awesome.
