The only thing is that their price was high but I couldn't really compare them with others because I knew that it was usually very high. I can say that it was worth the money. They were expensive but I got a good buy for it. I will use again in the future.

 + -1 moreEveryone from the company was very courteous - from the first time I called to make an appointment to talking to the person who ultimately did the work. Not only were they one time, but they were early which was very nice. And they were running earlier and called to give me the option to come by sooner, but I couldn't accommodate the time. Overall I'm very happy. As far as cost goes, I probably could have had it done cheaper else where but I have no idea how the quality would've been. In the past I've used other companies which left me with a soaking wet carpet and this company's cleaner kept it a little bit drier (although still wet). Also, I appreciated that the workers had a very clean appearance and were in a uniform.

Covered hardwood floors where he would be working, carefully moved tables close to the sofa, moved an oriental rug from the front door area where the equipment was located. Finished within the time frame estimated when I spoke with the company representative.

 + 0 moreJust a quote... no service... but not good at all
Description of Work: This was just for a quote to mainly get travertine flooring cleaned. I also decided to check to see how much it would cost for window treatment cleaning. I set it up via the website but it took a while for them to get back to me since the website is for the Sugarland office and I was in the service area for their Kingwood office. I also asked them to call my wife on the date of service since she was at the house to let them in. The guy showed up a little late (about 15-20 min) as well as calling me instead of my wife. Once he showed up my wife said he was very curt with any question she had. She said he wasn't rude per se but he just didn't have a service personality. Surly was the word she used. She started telling him what we wanted but he cut her off and insisted he would get to measuring first. How would he know what to measure if he won't even let her tell him what services we wanted and where? For our travertine, she commented that we it was pretty dirty and we were especially interested in getting it to the original color. He said he made no guarantees, which I understand. But the way he said it to my wife just didn't make her happy. Sometimes it's not the message but how you give it. After he finished measuring and gave her the quote, it was for $5500! That was for cleaning the travertine, the window treatments, and they also threw in two rooms that had wood flooring (I didn't ask for it but it was a separate quote so no big deal). The cost for cleaning the travertine was $3.50 a sq ft! I could buy new travertine for $2.99 a sq ft. Installation is probably $2-2.50 a sq ft. That means for just a little more than they wanted to charge me for cleaning it, I could have totally brand new floors. I was blown away. When my wife exclaimed it was high, he simply said that's what you have to pay if you want good service. I guess I'm just ignorant on pricing. They were the first company I called due to their good reviews so I don't know how much others would charge. Maybe they all cost this much. If so, ignore my scoring. Even without the pricing, my wife totally didn't like the guy who gave the quote. If they were cheap, I'd chalk this up to personality conflict. But add in this crazy pricing and there is no way I can use or recommend these guys.

 + 0 moreThe rug came back looking like new. As they told me it would, the cleaning took a couple of weeks but it was worth the wait. I also had a different crew come to estimate cleaning out hardwood floors. They looked at the floors carefully and advised me that they needed to be resurfaced, a service that they do not provide. I appreciated their honesty. Very professional! Absolutely one or the best, if not the best customer service experience I have ever had.

 + -1 moreThey were very good but very expensive. They were in such a hurry to finish and the floor wasn?t done properly and the seal did not dry well. So I had to call them back to fix it. I have always had a nice experience with them but they are far from being perfect. There was one employee whose name I cannot remember and he said that if I didn?t want to use Clean as a Whistle, he would do the work for less than half the price in his own time and I didn?t like that. Once they had to clean the sofa and they didn?t get all the stain out. I called them and nobody got back to me. But later, the manager called me and apologized. The person came back and cleared the stain out. I wouldn?t go out of my way to recommend them. When I pay 3 times more money of what everybody else is paying, I expect perfect service. But, I have been satisfied with their service.
Description of Work: They did marble cleaning and sealing. I have used their service for many years.

 + -1 moreIf you have badly stained or dirty carpet this is the place. Don't even try others or bargains. He got stains out that I'd never thought would disappear. Showed up on time, evaluated, provided good estimate, treated, cleaned, and finished up - even left little booties for us to wear if we had to walk on it before it was dry. I gave an A on price because, while this is more expensive than other quotes, the VALUE is excellent. Recommended carpet repair to sections that have come loose, and we will be getting an estimate on that also.
Description of Work: Cleaned stairs, landing and 3 rooms. This service is much better than "usual" carpet cleaners - deep vacuum, stain treatment, just go to the website and look at the 10 step process.

 + 0 moreThey did a very good job. They were probably a little more expensive than everybody else. I talked with the owner and got a little bit of a break on the price. I kind of went with their reputation. It was a big job, and they charged $1500 for that.
Description of Work: I used Clean As a Whistle Inc. They cleaned the entire upstairs carpeting in my house and 2 flights of stairs one week ago. They did some repairs and did some stretching.

They are very expensive but they do superior work when compared to anybody that I had ever used - you get what you pay for. There are no surprises. The supervisor does the follow up while they are doing the job, and after the job, he comes by to inspect again. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

The grout cleaning for the ceramic floors was truly impressive in its outcome. I wish I done it sooner. The kitchen floor looked new once they were finished.

 + -1 moreJermaine from Clean as a Whistle came out to do the estimate exactly when promised. I knew that this was a much smaller job than they usually do but I really needed help. I was in a cycle of almost constantly cleaning the grout so it didn't look disgusting. Jermaine did some chemical tests to ensure that the grout could be cleaned and confirmed it could be. Because it is such a small space he offered to come out the next day and do the work by hand to minimize the cost to me. He called the office immediately to confirm his availability and showed up the next morning as promised. Jermaine got right to work and turned my nightmare grout into a very nice looking ceramic floor with clean grout. I was extremely impressed with his professional and friendly manner and the work he performed.

He moved all the furniture that needed to be moved and carefully placed protectors under the feet of each piece of furniture when moving them back into place. He was a very pleasant young man who worked very diligently the entire time he was there. He was very thorough.

Description of Work: Called regarding the cleaning of a 16 yr old recliner - still in good operating condition, but in need of cleaning. A technician game out within hours of my call. He looked at the chair and expressed concern over the worn spots on the arms of the chair. He tested the fabric to see if it would come clean and noted that the worn spots got just a lttle worse. Since the machines they use to clean utilize a lot of suction, he advised against cleaning as he was afraind the fabric would tear. I REALLY appreciated his honesty! He didn't try to sell me on a service that may have damaged my chair. KUDOS to this compnay for their honesty & integrity.

 + -1 moreFor cleaning carpets, these guys are very good and very expensive. But you can be assured that the job is done right. I have recently found someone, however, that successfully cleans carpets for a whole lot less. I find it is just hit and miss with carpet cleaners and very few actually do it well. Clean as a Whistle no doubt does it very well. I also asked for an estimate on polishing about 600 square feet of wood flooring. Estiamte was $1500+. While, I'm sure these guys would have done a fantastic job, on this job, I was satisfied hiring a two member crew for $350 to work a day and "do their best" - they did a completely satisfactory job and I saved a lot of money over going with the Lexus of floor cleaners If you are willing to spend the money for top quality, Clean as a Whistle is very professional, stands behind their work, and you wil have high confidence that the job will be done beautifully.

 + -1 moreThere were some high traffic areas that needed extra attention. When the carpet was still damp it looked great. After it dried you could still some discoloration in these areas so I called to see if anything else could be done. I was told because the carpet was only a year and a half old that it may be possible to reclean those areas and it may help. The only complaint I have is that the original appointment was made and they were able to come out in a few days. To reschedule the follow-up visit would take 2 weeks. I was really wanting to get the carpet done before I leased to new tenants and they said this would not be possible. I feel that they could have made a better effort to come back in less than 2 weeks.
Description of Work: I hired "Clean as a Whistle" from Angie's List to clean the carpeting a dining and living room area in a house that I lease. I was told that they charge a bit more than their competitors, but I could be sure that they would do a great job.
