Woodlands Water Restoration

Not very well at all.

They did a super job, even as the job got bigger and bigger due to the extent of the water/mold damage. They informed us of the process up front, and kept us posted on the progress, always letting us know what was coming next, and responding kindly and clearly to our questions, even when they were dumb or repeat questions. As it turned out, they had underbid the project, but they honored their original quote, something for which we are quite grateful, as we are now facing the rebuild of most of our kitchen, only a portion of which will be covered by insurance. They were so responsive, professional AND compassionate. We would hire them again in a minute, just hope we never have to!!

The company was out within hours of the leak and evaluated the situation and found there was not a need to dry the area -- which saved me money.

I had to let them pack my house without being there due to some scheduling conflicts that arose. I was told that they would bring everything back and put most of it where it belonged and that I would not have to do much. I ended up having to do a lot because the person I started with was no longer with the company and the new person had no idea where everything was supposed to go. I was only contacted by the company regarding their payment and nothing else. I do not fault the people that came out to do the work, as they were working very hard. It is the company that really seems to have dropped the ball.

It went ok. The job had to be rescheduled and due to my work schedule I was not able to stay home when they did the work. My stuff came back with some minor damage and some of the things that were left also had damage. The biggest problem was my storm door. It was working and aligned when I left. When I got home it was not aligned and would not close properly. When I asked about it they claimed that they didn't do anything to the door. I was also told they would put most of my things back where they belonged and they would be cleaned. That did not happen either.

It was my first time using this type of service.  I met with another company first (one recommended by my plumber), and they were very unprofessional.  They tried to lock me into a contract for drying out the unit and also pressured me to use their "sister" company for demo and repairs. They're contract was poorly written and they gave no indication that they would interface with the insurance company.  I decided to ask others for recommendations and was given Jason's number.
I called Jason, and he explained the process very clearly to me.  He said that he would immediately start the demo and drying process and then meet with the insurance adjuster with me to go over the damage that he had discovered.  He billed the insurance company directly and agreed to accept their payment.  He gave me a recommendation for a repair company, but there was no obligation on my part to use them.  In fact, I ended up using a contractor that I have used in the past on other projects.
Jason's knowledge of the process made this stressful situation seem much more manageable and outlined a process that made sense.  I would highly recommend him.

We ended up using the company twice within a 2week period of time. Initially they responded to water damage due to a hot water heater leak. They called within 15 minutes of our placing a claim with a home warranty company and were at our property prior to the plumbing company. They determined the scope of the damage, removed wet sheetrock/insulation, set up fans/dehumdifiers to dry areas, daily monitored the moisture content of water damaged material and treated wood. A rain storm occurred while they were at our house to remove drying equipment and we had water come in another area of the house. They removed wet sheetrock/insulation and correctly diagnosed we had rotted roof decking around two vents that needed to be replaced/repaired. They tarped our roof, set up fans/dehumidifiers,treated affected areas and daily monitored the moisture content of water damaged areas. They were informative, professional, sincere and knowledgable.
