Bulwark Exterminating San Antonio

I had purchased a coupon to have the house sprayed for bugs. I have been seeing a lot of scorpions, and even though the coupon didn't specify scorpions, they assured me that they would spray for them as well. When I did see a couple of more some days later, they came back out and sprayed again with no extra charge. I also saw some flying insects and was concerned that they might be termites. They took a look and told me they were ants. I thought they did a very thorough job and were very honest.

I called because we moved into a new home and I started finding scorpions. They came out within three days of calling and they have taken care of the scorpion issue along with the hornets and fire ants too. So far I am very happy with the service I am getting from them. All the technicians have been polite and very helpful with all questions I have.

I was approached by their sister company, Bulwark Pest Control, in August to continue my pest treatment. I agreed but they were going to throw in a free termite inspection. After two weeks of not hearing from them, I called back. They said they would look into it. Another week goes by, I call again, same answer. The next week I call and said, forget it I really wanted someone out a month ago because I was told by a teenager who helped with these fallen trees that they might have termites. So I'm really fed up, upset. Then they said they can have someone out Tuesday. They arrived on time. I showed them the fallen trees that I thought might have termites. They looked through the yard and then brought me an estimate of $2557 to treat the yard. I never saw them look at the house, just the yard. I am a single mother who lost her job in May. I don't have that kind of money and no way would use a company that made me wait so long. Today I was looking on Angie's list for a second opinion, and saw an advertisement for this same termite company (Bulwark Exterminating) inspection they quoted a price of $379 to install monitors. The same monitors for me were going to be $550. Also, on the Angie's list ad it said "Rapid Connect", "Buy today and be contacted before Tuesday October 8th." I felt like a double wammy. I had orginally gone through Angie's list for the sister company, Bulwark Pest Control. I can only guess they have good customer service to those who they think might write a review? And since I wasn't going through Angie's List this time, I was just a nobody that they could push to the back burner. So, My rating for F is really not low enough. I was wanting a rapid response well over a month ago. I now have a woodpecker looking for somethig on my house, probably insects, maybe termites. I think they did not do a throughout job and I am still worried that I might have termites.

The rep arrived on time, explained what he was going to do and got to work right away. He let me know when he was finished, had me sign the paperwork and left.

They showed up on time and it was a very good experience. I have continued to use them now for almost a year after the original purchase of a Big Deal. They send me notification by email when they have me scheduled for the next extermation. The only exterminate the outside of the house, but if need the interior done, all I have to do is let them know. I do have to be home for that, so I can let them into my home...for the outside, I never have to be home. Had some problems wasp nests and wasp's, they should up a couple of days later to take care of them, at no extra cost to me. Bulwark is always professinal and would and have recommended them to family and friends.

Bulwark did not take any short cuts. They did a very good job! The day after the service was completed I had dead scorpions all around my house. About a week later I decided to enter into a seasonal contract with them (no service or charges during winter months). They listened to my concerns and took actions. I asked them to stuff all weep holes with copper mesh (about 100 of them). They came the day they said they would and stuffed every one of them with no additional charge involved. I also had a problem later with worms of some sort that would come out at night by the hundreds. I called and they responded in a day or two and went to work. They sprayed heavy around the foundation, in the yard and also all three garage bays. The next morning I had dead worms every where. Once again no additional charge. I also have had good experience when calling their customer service to set up the free extra services. That is very important to me. I am very happy with this company and highly recommend them!

Initial service of house and yard went great. Some miscues on scheduling follow up treatments. Resolved with two phone calls. Overall satisfied with product effectiveness and service. Would recommend.

Employee arrived on time and was very professional. Appreciated the fact he took off his shoes when entering house. Answered all my questions. A+ for employee. I confirmed with the company when I scheduled the service and again with employee at the time the service was provided what the cost of the service would be. Each time they confirmed the Angie special price. Then the bill came. I was billed for considerably more. I called the company and asked for an explanation. After some discussion, the person apologized and said it would be corrected. I received a second bill with the same mistake. I called again. The problem was finally resolved. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to correct the billing issue and, for that reason would probably not use the service again. The "C" overall rating is for their billing department.

Serviceman arrived in a timely manner and provided an overview of the pest control service. Serviceman was professional and conducted the work in a timely manner. Overall pleased with the service and would consider using them again in the future. Purchased a big deal through Angie's list for initial service on a rental property.

Great. Technician showed up right on time; very polite & neat; treated inside of house; knocked down old wasp nests from porch ceiling; sprayed yard for ants. Effective treatment. The man who came to my home was terrific. The "C" for professionalism is for the person I talked to on the phone, who kept pressing me to commit to a monthly contract before I had the home serviced. He seemed not to understand that I wanted to see how the service went before I committed to a contract.

The technician arrived during the scheduled time and treated inside and outside. A representative from the company called back to see if everything was okay. I had continued to see wasp nests and ant piles so they sent someone back out. For some reason, there continued to be active ant piles even after the second treatment but the company sent someone out again. The technician arrived at the scheduled time, walked around with me to find the piles, and treated them. I appreciate that a representative calls to check in to see if everything went well. The representatives have been receptive and professional.

We have had a major problem with ants all summer. I tried many different things and none of them worked. When an ant bit my daughter while she was sleeping in her room UPSTAIRS I had finally had enough! So I called Bulwark Exterminating. They came quickly and eliminated the problem even more quickly! No more ants!!!!!!!

It was great and we ended up signing a service contract with them. The man that I talked to on the phone was very knowledgeable and had more information for me than I could process. I felt very comfortable hiring them. They got the job done in about an hour total. They are very responsive and nice to work with.

The young technician (Eloy) called ahead to let me know he was on his way and arrived when he said he would. He came prepared to do an exterior treatment but when I showed him what was included in the Angie's List deal he covered everything on the list. He was young but very polite and methodical in his work. I was happy with the service call.

Exterminating service was performed as promised. Professionally and on time.

I saw the Angie's List deal in my email for Bulwark and decided to give them a try. I had an invasion of ants and silver fish but the ants were taking over upstairs and downstairs inside my house. I also had various other kinds of ants outside. Any roaches I found were always dead...I thought. I called and they answered right away and we set a time for them to come out. The gentleman came in and we talked about what bugs I had and where I saw them. He was very informative about how they work. The gentleman was very polite. Next, he worked on the outside of the house and surrounding yard. With the paperwork (of which there wasn't much), it took about an hour. He gave me a checklist of all the chemicals he used inside and outside for my information. That was a surprise. It's been about a week and so far no bugs. What I like is that I didn't have to sign a contract for a year or two. They will come out every 60 days and if I don't want anymore service, I can just tell them and that's that. I will definitely let them come out again.

Excellent company with very professional technicians. They arrived at scheduled time and accomplished all pest control services. We had no insect invasions over the long, hot summer.

Great. They took care of all the pest problems we had. I have them come on a quarterly basis. If something comes up between services, I just call them and they come out. I always receive a phone call letting me know when I will be receiving service.
