Bulwark Exterminating San Antonio

We've experienced poor service from a different provider previously so we were cautious to choose another service. Bulwark came through perfectly. The customer service rep on the phone was terrific, no hard sell, asked if he could call back in the future. The tech John M was terrific as well. He was friendly, told us everything he was doing and proceeded to handle everything with complete professionalism. We mentioned that we rescue felines and have a special needs dog and he went over everything, absolutely everything. Did not rush around to try and get it done fast. He took his time, was cautious and careful. The biggest problem we were experiencing was with american roaches. After 15 days the treatment continues to work. We are hoping to have Bulwark and John M return and spray portions of the landscaping. Honestly, we are completely satisfied.

Staff was polite and courteous as well as on time. The gentleman that showed up effectively communicated all concerns and promptly scheduled a free follow up appointment to ensure customer satisfaction. The bug service was excellent haven't seen any bugs in our around the house since treatment will continue to do business with and refer friends to.

They were fine no complaint

They did fine when they came out and did the original service. I even agreed to sign up with an annual contract with them. This was for quarterly treatment. After signing the contract, I never heard from them in regards to setting up any appointments. I did not pay anything up front, so I didn't think much of it. Perhaps the paperwork fell through the cracks.

We felt the service was lacking after the first initial discounted visit. We received emails when next visit was scheduled but when I replied to the email stating that the time was not acceptable, they came anyway. The only way we knew they had come was a slip of paper left on the ground by the door. They did not bother to knock on the door even when our vehicle in the driveway indicated we were home. The same thing happened a second time and I called to complain as we wanted the service indoors as well. The service person came back a few days later but seem very rushed and sloppy with the spraying. After complaining again, we received a 50% discount on next visit. Again, we asked that the person announce themselves before spraying but again it did not happen. I discontinued service for the winter. Come spring, we decided to cancel the service and called the company. We ended up speaking with a manager who apologized for the lack of service and again offered a discounted service. We decided to give them another chance but only if service was done by a different person. He agreed and it was scheduled. This time, the new person knocked on our door and we were pleased with the professional and courteous manner. That's all we wanted was to be treated with respect and not as if it was an imposition. The company did go out of their way to make up for the unsatisfactory service and followed through with their promise to do better. That's all anyone can ask for. We hope to upgrade our rating of this company as we continue to receive good service.

Overall it's been good. I originally ordered a treatment through an Angie's list online special where you pay up front. Unexpected was that I was requested to sign an annual contract upon the technician's arrival. I did yet only with the stipulation that I could cancel, without penalty, at any time. I have since used their services 3 times. Each visit, the technician has been polite and without my prompting, removed shoes upon entering my home as to prevent tracking outside debris into the house (nice touch). What I didn't care for is that the company customarily uses e-mail as their primary communication/scheduling tool. Personally, I prefer to speak directly to a person to schedule appointments and mentioned this on my review. Bulwark reached out with a phone call to discuss what they can do to accommodate and keep me happy. How nice to have a company be concerned about service and the customer.

As new residents of San Antonio, I used the services of Angie's List when it came time to look for an exterminating service. Although I had no major issues, that I was aware of, I wanted a reliable service to keep it that way. After reading the reviews on Bulwark Exterminating we decided to give them a call and set up an appointment. After the initial visit, and discussing the treatment that would take place, we decided to give Bulwark Exterminating a try. When the tech was finished, he told us to not hesitate to call them with any problems that may come up before our next scheduled treatment in three months. So as an existing customer of Bulwark Exterminating, I have called them back a couple of times to treat ant hills in the yard and each time a tech was sent right out. The last call out was when I saw ants going up and down a post on the patio, I called Bulwark for a follow up visit. They responded very quickly and sent out a tech named John Michael. John M. did a wonderful job of investigating the situation and found that carpenter ants had taken up residency in a tree near the patio. John M. explained the treatment that would take place and reassured me that nothing in the treatment would be harmful to our small dog. John M. was very thorough, knowledgeable, professional and quite friendly while performing the task of removing the ants. He actually found the queen, along with lots of eggs, in the process which was even a bigger bonus. Since the ant treatment took place, I have seen no more signs of carpenter ants and feel confident they are gone. I know that if any other situation comes up, I can call on Bulwark Exterminating for a quick response to solve the problem. I would highly recommend Bulwark Exterminating not only for the services they provide but also for the people they employ. Great job by all!

They were very professional and thorough in their work. Gave helpful suggestions on plants that needed to be trimmed up. Will be using this company again for new house.

Scheduled the appointment, and was there on time. Explained to me everything he would be doing and why. Performed the treatments and scheduled a return date. No contract required, so you can cancel anytime.

Well from what I read he was going to take off wall plates and powder in the wall plates to kill anything coming up inside the walls. He did not do that. He came out one time. He seemed to do a good job, there were just things that I thought he was going to do, but not done. I don't know if I read this pad, but I thought it said he'd take off the wall plates, put in some poison powder down in there for the ants and spiders that get inside your wall.

It went fine. They were punctual. They explained to me what they were doing. We have seen scorpions in the past. We haven't seen any yet this year. I don’t know if it is because they were here or just that we are not seeing any this year.

It was fine and they did a great job. The technician was very professional and informative. He was very good. He got the job done in about 30-40 minutes.

They were fine. They do what they said they're going to do and they're prompt, and did a good job. What stands out is their punctuality.

We wanted pest control service to control the fire ants in our back yard. We have 4 small dogs and they get bite constantly whenever there is a mound in the area. We wanted this treated with something that would not be harmful to our dogs since they eat the grass occasionally. We were assured of the safety of the treatment. Bulwark treated for fire ants and then sprayed the entire yard for other pests, i.e. roaches, spiders, etc. We were told they would come back and retreat/spray if mounds appeared again at no charge.

Overall, not that great. They seemed to be real rushed to get in and get out. I didn't notice any real effects on the critters around the house. They also rescheduled me once or twice during the handful of times we had them come out. They were professional but not that into quality work.

There is nothing special that I like, they do what they are supposed to do, and they leave. I continue to use them because I haven't had any problems with them, and they do what they are supposed to do.

They were on time, performed the services and gave advice regarding how to maintain the scorpions and other bugs from being in my home and yard.

This provider is by far the best pest control company I have ever used. I have had this company do regular service for the past 6 years and 3 years prior in Arizona.

Roy sprayed the outside and treated the inside. He explained that if we have a problem to call them back and they would be glad to retreat the needed areas. Our next treatment would be the outside only. I appreciated his candidness.

They did very well and I was very happy with their work. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!
