Bulwark Exterminating San Antonio

I have used Bulwark for 3-4 yrs and was enormously pleased with their services, recommending them to neighbors. About a yr ago, they attempted to raise my monthly charges. I called them and they agreed they should not be raised. About a month ago, they advised that the size of my home was triggering an increase in price. Again, I called and told them that my home was always the same size, without increase. It was obvious that the excuse for raising the price was invalid - they just wanted to raise the price. I told them I had pest control for yrs in Maryland and Virginia, and not once did the pest control companies raise my prices. After a lengthy discussion, I agreed to the price increase. They told me it would be in effect for 2 years. This week-end, I received my bill and they increased my pricing by even more - nearly double of what they advised earlier the increase would be. The overall increase equates to 20%. If you decide to contract with Bulwark, be certain to lock in your pricing. I am particularly peeved that their reasoning for raising the price is somehow due to me - the size of my home which is EXACTLY the same when they first quoted.

We discovered that we have termites. I called, based on the Angie's List favorable reviews. The first person I spoke with was a young woman who couldn't spell my 4-letter last name correctly after I spelled it for her. She transferred me to a man who repeated all the info, told me that he was in charge of general extermination, and that he would get the "termite guy" to call me the next day. 5 days have passed. No call. Perhaps it was because I didn't express any interest at all in a full-service contract. We have a pretty big house with three separate attic areas...the fees for the termite eradication are likely to be quite high...but they evidently don't need the business.

1st visit, easy to schedule, tech was on time. PROBLEM: My husband was home for this initial visit, which he reported went okay. However, when it came time for the invoice, the tech told my husband that I had "signed up" for their bimonthly service. My husband did not argue, because he assumed that I had. I DID NOT. I ONLY purchased the Big Deal which was for one time only! I did not make an issue of it at the time because I figured it was just a part of their "upsell." Well, 60 days later THEY CALLED TO SCHEDULE AGAIN. And since we had some wasp nests, my husband scheduled without my knowledge. The tech came yesterday, and dragged his hose right through my cactus garden, and uprooted one of my plants. Also, the chemical was sprayed incredibly sloppily--came all the way to the top of the kick plates on my doors! I feel like they lied to us, and then did very sloppy, hasty work.

Representative was right on time. Did a thorough job. Pointed out areas that need additional watching. Will return before next scheduled visit if we see signs of more insects. We've been insect-free since the service.

The deal was just not the right thing at the right time. I was trying to get rid of roaches. They were a nice company. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

The service went okay. They have come out for 1 treatment so far. I was not home while they did the service, but I did see that they left a few stations around the home. I need to follow up with the company regarding the work done and to collect the papers for the warranty. I had no problem scheduling the deal. I have used them for 2 different houses.

The service went well. I am trying to get rid of roaches and spiders. They did exactly what the deal stated. I have seen less pests overall, but there are still some spiders. One technician came out for the service and completed the job in about an hour or so. He did an okay job and there was nothing I disliked about him. I had no problem scheduling this deal.

I had them come out for the service at another home of mine. I had them treat for scorpions, Texas Rock centipedes and other insects. I believe most of the pests have been eliminated. The technician did a great job and even dusted up in the attic. I had no problem scheduling this deal at all.

It was fine. Scheduling was perfect and they were professional. They did a great job so we are continuing to use their use.

The gentleman showed up on time. He was very courteous. Provided the service without any complications.

I have been very happy with Bulwark Exterminating. Since we have been receiving scheduled treatments every two months our pest problem is almost non-existent. On the rare occasions a creepy crawly does get into the house, the come and provide interior treatment at no additional charge. Also, in the past, several times per year my car would become infested with ants, despite the fact that I do not eat in the car. I tried everything, vacuuming entire interior of car and trunk, put in ant baits, tried sprays, even tried boric acid. I was at wits end. Even a short trip to the corner market was a nightmare since I kept having to pick ants off myself. In desperation, I called Bulwark to my rescue. When the technician arrived, first he was gracious enough to exterminate my car. Then we examined all possible access points. We finally determined that the tree in the front yard was acting as a highway for the ants... whenever it would rain, the branches would get heavy and touch the car, allowing the ants easy access. Once this was determined to be the source of the problem, the technician treated the tree thoroughly for ants, and schedule a return trip for the next week to provide a booster treatment. Now treating that tree for ants is a included in my regularly scheduled treatments. It is great to be able to drive my own car and NOT be swarmed by ants.

He called prior to arrival. Was extremely friendly as well as professional. Explained everything he was doing and also asked us as to preferences based on animals, babies, etc. as to what type of treatment we desired along with his recommendations. We do have a small dog and a toddler in the household so were very happy that they also had organic products rather than just strong insecticides available for use. He also left a sheet with a recommended treatment plan and pricing for future.

There was confusion about using the Angie's list deal. The company had two different people calling me to set up service; one to honor the deal and another to set me up as a new customer. It took a few phone calls on my part to straighten this out but nonetheless, it was finally resolved. The technician showed up about an hour late but did call to let me know he was running late. The yard and house and was treated, however, I had to call the company on two separate occasions to retreat and they did so, no problem. We recently opted for the quarterly plan, $99.00 plus tax. I love the fact the months in between are under warrantee and they will send out a technician upon request. Also love the fact I am not in a contract.

One person worked under the house treating for termites while the other installed the bait stations. They were very neat, businesslike and pleasant. They will return in 4 months to check that their work is still doing the job.

The initial treatment from Bulwark Exterminating - San Antonio consisted of a technician spraying the interior and exterior of the house. Most of the subsequent treatments consisted of only spraying the exterior. However, in between one treatment, a Bulwark Exterminating - San Antonio technician needed to come re-treat the interior of the house because bugs were getting inside. Once that re-treatment happen, there were no more bugs noticed. Also, I want to note that carpenter bees were nesting in our patio area. Technicians from Bulwark Exterminating - San Antonio came three times before the bees were removed completely. Every time, I have called Bulwark Exterminating - San Antonio a representative was glad to help. To ensure the matter was resolved timely, Bulwark Exterminating - San Antonio had a technician at my house on the same day or the following. Bulwark Exterminating - San Antonio has provided outstanding service and their technicians are always prompt, professional and knowledgeable.

I chose their signature hybrid service. The treatment didn't seem to last very long.

The first guy who came was very professional and helpful. He sprayed the house inside and out and explained exactly what he was doing and what the process was. They have a great guarantee, so if I saw any bugs after a certain time period, I could call them back to respray. As it happened, I did see a couple of roached behind our garage. I called. They sent someone over literally the very next morning -- for free. The second tech was just as nice as the first. Following his treatment, we saw a few more dead bugs....and have been bug free ever since. These guys seem to care about the work they do and honor their guarantee. In fact, I expected them to take a few days to get back out. The speed with which they deployed someone was impressive. I've continued to use them for regular service.

They did a great job. They came out at night and had a UV light to reveal where the scorpions were. I've definitely seen a difference since he sprayed! It took him an hour or so and he was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions.

We just purchased our first home. After moving in we noticed we had visitors. Russian roaches, spiders, and black ants! Called Bulwark to request a price and just ended up going with them. They were at my home within 3 days. They did a dusting through my walls, outside around the house, and inside my home. A great perk to using Bulwark, is at any time between visits, they come to your home free of charge. I had to call this week to let them know I am still seeing black ants in my kitchen. They arrived within 2 days and resprayed my kitchen and inside my walls. Always professional and pleasant as well. Would recommend to anyone.

I set up an appointment at an agreed upon date and time. I waited and they never showed up. I called them and was told there was a mix up in scheduling. Nonetheless, it was unacceptable for them not to show up or even call beforehand considering I allotted that time from my busy schedule to be home for that service appointment. That did not leave a good impression to me as a consumer.
