They did the whole house and there were aunts in one room and they took care of it. They were courteous and friendly. The price was outstanding.

I only needed a one time service and wasn't interested in signing up for continual work. They said they would take me off the list, however they kept calling again. They did do a good job while they were here. But I don't like them calling after the fact to try and sell me more products.

Perfect. Service tech called and asked to come early which worked out great for my schedule. He was very professional and knowledgeable, answered all my questions and did an excellent job.

The service went fine. They were very responsive and came out a few days after I purchased the deal. One technician came out and completed the job in about 2 hours. They did mostly the interior of the house and maybe the back porch. He was a nice kid and did a good job. The ants did go away.

great, fabulous, and fantastic ... i requested no inside extermination as I have pets and allergies, they respected my wishes, went through the exterior with both liquid and granules. Advised due to the amount of ants, feel free to contact them again and they would warrant for 60 days. They called to follow up with the services. The young man was wonderful as he tolerated my overly friendly dog. i am thrilled I found this company on Angie's List and will use them again. Thank you, you guys are appreciated.

I have a contract with them in which they come to my home every two months for maintenance. They were called on this occasion for a specific pest control issue. Everything went well.

The Gentleman were very professional and courteous, they explained everything they where going to do. They where punctual and finished the job quickly, i would definitely use this company again.

I made the decision to contact them for a quote based on two reasons. The first reason is they showed a name and address in Schertz. I like to use local providers. The second reason was because they received the Angies award in 2012 and 2013. I made a phone call to schedule an appointment and realized I was calling a call center and then was transferred to another individual. That person told me someone would be calling me to schedule an appointment. Four days later I made another call and was again transferred. The next individual had no record of my call. Upon my questioning they claim to have started out locally and are a family business. The individual I was speaking with was located in Florida. I was told I would receive a call right back from a local Supervisor. That call never came until several hours later into the evening. I did not return the call. I think that the local address was deceiving and I think their level of customer service reflects upon them poorly. After reading some of the other reviews since that time I know I made the right decision by not hiring them.

We are happy with Bulwark. Very thorough and address special concerns right away. Always on time and we love the Saturday appointments available.

The job was performed in a timely manner with excellent results.

UPDATE: Bulwark has contacted us several times since this review posted, offering a refund, two free exterminations and a $50 gift card to make things right. We are appreciative of the follow-up and their numerous attempts to leave us satisfied. We purchased the Big Deal for $89, which covered general interior/exterior pest control treatment for 3,000 square-feet or less. The first sign that there was something wrong was when our technician attempted to charge us for the service. I explained that we had purchased it through Angie's List. He let it slip that the service performed usually costs $75 and told us we paid too much. Then followed a few minutes of him talking on my cell phone with the manager, and eventually the manager spoke with me, apologized for overcharging in the Big Deal and promised to give us 20 percent off our next service to make up the difference. Along with the general treatment, Bulwark promises that if any insects are still seen after two weeks that they will do a respray for free. After a week, we saw the insects again. We called for another spray. We took time away from work to make the appointment. They never showed up. I called them to ask where they were, and they said they would arrange for a spray the following Saturday. They typically give us a window of service time (10-3, 3-6) but did not do so on this occasion. On Saturday morning I called the office and was told they couldn't give me a time window, but they would have the technician call me and let me know when he would be on his way. Either way, she said, he wouldn't be there before 3 p.m. because his schedule was full until then. We left the house and returned right before 3. We had a note on our door saying we missed our scheduled visit. We called the company back that same day and asked them why we never were called to let us know he was coming. They apologized and said they would try to get him to return to our house. They would call us back, they said. They never did. I called and made an appointment again. The latest the technician could come, they said, was 5:30. So I left work early again so I could be home by 5 p.m. and be sure not to miss his visit. He never showed up. I called at 5:45 to ask where he was and was told he had arrived at 5 p.m. but we weren't there. I told the manager that I was indeed home, and no one showed up. I also didn't have the letter on my door letting me know about a missed visit. The manager then said that no one came, that was correct, because there was rain. I told him we needed a spray inside the house and that I had been home all evening, and there was no rain. We also didn't receive a phone call to let us know he was canceling the visit. The manager apologized, offered me another discounted visit. Told me repeatedly that Bulwark never drops the ball like this and asked that we try one more time. By this point we were already into September. Keep in mind our initial visit by Bulwark was in July. I finally had enough. I told him I didn't want to work with Bulwark anymore. He said I could get my money back or they could do another spray for free. I said I wanted my money back. He said he'd work to process it immediately. About an hour later, he called me back and said he couldn't refund the money because it was paid for through Angie's List. I would have to get the refund from them. I called Angie's List and they said Bulwark would have to reimburse me for the money lost since the service had been performed. I called Bulwark again and spoke with Sebastian, yet another manager. He said he would not refund the money. When I asked him to get a free respray then, he refused, saying I had insisted on closing the account and that there was nothing he could do. I told him the history of what had happened, told him that I was initially overcharged and had two offers for 20 percent off my next visit because of poor customer service. He said because I had closed the account, there was no way to get my money back nor to get another service call set up...unless I wanted to pay full price. I said I only asked to close the account after being given the option of closing the account and getting my money back or having a respray. If I knew I couldn't get my money back, I wouldn't have closed the account. He said there was nothing he could do because it was my decision to close the account. In my opinion, this isn't only poor customer service. This is fraud. They offered a "Big Deal," promising a more extensive service for less money. Instead, they charged more than they typically do for the same service, and admitted it. I lost money out of this scam, and I still have spiders in my bed. I've asked Angie's List to pull the "Big Deal" offer that overcharges customers and they've promised to investigate. I've lost money and will never get it back. Please don't fall for this "deal" as I did. You will regret it.

They wouldn't come out to me, so I didn't use the deal. We have a scorpion problem out here but they didn't seem interested in doing the work.

Added flea treatment for additional cost. Assured of 60 day warranty., Have not seen any "pests" since treatment. Feel sure that if flea eggs hatch, this company will follow up as promised. They also left me a spray bottle of flea killer, which was a nice little something extra!

It was a hassle to redeem the deal I purchased. I had to contact them multiple times, and he said he didn't have any of my information. Once he came out, the service was fine, but it did take a long time to complete the job.

It went fine, to spray the attic which is divided, he went up in the garage portion, and then again thru the bedroom closet to get the rest of the attic. Before starting, he checked with me to make sure there were no pets around.

Service was scheduled right away, and they arrived on time as scheduled. The service man was professional, sprayed inside and out --- checked with me to identify gardening/herbal/produce areas before spraying outside. I wasn't ready to commit to a regular, on-going service contract, so it was just the single treatment. I would recommend them to others.

They fixed the problem, it went very well.

We've used them for 2 years now as a result of their ad on Angie's List to get rid of scorpions. We'd been plagued with scorpions for 12 years - in our house. Once, one was in our bed and stung me - twice. As soon as Bulwark came in the evening that first visit and exterminated, our scorpion problem disappeared! We love Bulwark. They come every two months, rather than three like other exterminators. They told me the solution only works for 60 days so most people are unprotected for a month - but not when you use Bulwark. They always come out inbetween visits if we call because of a problem. For instance, we recently had an ant problem and we tried to take care of it ourselves and not call them to come between visits. But, when it was evident our treatment was not working and we called Bulwark, they came out and took care of us, with no extra charge! The same person comes to our house each time now and he knows our "history" and can check on problem areas in our lawn. We can't recommend them enough. Great company!

The work was good. I like the ease of using them.

I have used them three times. They did a thorough job in moving the furniture and spraying the ants.

I will let you know if the service was worth the wait ... If I ever receive it!

Bulwark has been excellent, uses biodegradable, non-toxic [to humans] materials, offers good advice and extra services free. I love them.
