Bulwark Exterminating San Antonio

I have used Bulwark for the past four years. However, I have had several issues with their billing department this year. For example, after one service a bill (April 2016) was not received by me. I called customer service and was told to send a check to a specific address, which I did. Turned out that the address provided was not correct. After more than 5 calls to them and another service (June 2016) they told me I owed them double, I found out they had lost the check for the April service. So I talked to a "customer service supervisor" who told me to cancel the check and they would refund a cancellation fee and only charge me 1/2 for my August 2016 service. Well, when August rolled around they did charge for 1/2 the service but in the mean time they found my "lost" check and tried to cancel it so they charged me again although I paid the April/June charges. The sad thing is they advertise that they are family owned but their customer service and billing departments are located in Arizona. It is ashamed however as the technician that came by every other month did a great job. Bottom line: I'll never use them or recommend them again!!!!!

I wouldn't use them. Yesterday two of their sales people were canvassing our neighborhood. We clearly have a sign that say NO SOLICITING, and being the HOA President, I often ask companies not to go door to door, espeially at the dinner hour. We have a sign posted and would appreciate it if they would honor the request. It also has the city ord. number, which was verified by a police officer. The sales person basically argued with me as if he knew the law and refused to leave. I ask for his card and called the police. The officer confirmed that our HOA is in the right, and we have the right to ask door to door sales people not to be in our neighborhood or on properties without permission. If they would have been polite, I would never write, this, but the rep wasn't cooperative, they were combative.

Very well. Have not seen any insects in the house since.

Service was provided, however the routine treatment didn't seem to work at all, terrible phone customer service, I wouldn't recommend them, oh and they came to my home unannounced when they specifically stated they would call prior to arriving and I had a scheduled appointment time though they seemed to just come whenever they want

Very well. I am impressed with their service and concern that we are happy with results. They described in detail the service they provided. I was happy that they were flexible with available dates for the initial service. They encouraged us to call back if we needed. We decided to sign up for bi monthly treatments.

Service and workers have been timely, friendly and professional. The results of the pest treatment have been great and I will continue to use Bulwark in the future.

There was a lot of disconnect with the company on scheduling the service. When the tech finally came, it only took about 15 minutes to treat the whole yard and garage and shed. Didn't feel that it was enough time to properly treat the areas. Still see bugs everywhere. They also had set up a schedule for every other month which I did not agree to when setting up the service and it was difficult to get them to cancel it.

We just moved into the home 4 months ago, with the unpacking and summer here we started to see occasional spiders in the home and different household pests (no infestations). We had a lot of ant mounds on our 1/4 acre back yard and some bee nests on the outside home (most already sprayed and dead, a few new ones). The Bulwark employee was extremely professional, very polite and even took her shoes off to entered our home. She asked what, if any, were our issues in/out the house, ensured the spray was safe for our dogs, asked permission to go into rooms that had the door closed and proceeded outside. The exterior perimeter was sprayed, all the ant mounds were properly treated and without asking all the bee nests were knocked down and treated if appropriate. She advised if we had any problems with pests to not hesitate to call as they would come back out and retreat those areas. It's been over a month and we no longer have ant mounds, spiders and other critters. We love to use Angie's List and were able to get a great rate for our first time service and as a result of their great service, we signed up for them to come on a regular basis.

Technician was professional. He announced his arrival, performed the service, and notified me that everything was okay before leaving. There was an issue involved billing that was upsetting because they failed to bill me throughout the year and waited to request the full payment with no notice. That issue has now been corrected and the staff of Bulwark have been exceedingly attentive to this situation. They explained their error had been corrected and would not happen again and they were willing to work with me in the future. They are very responsive to telephone calls and scheduling assistance.

I am a practical person, and understand that pest control requires the use of pesticide, however, I want whoever is spraying my home to acknowledge that pesticide IS POISON, and afford due respect to myself, my family, the food I eat, and my home before spraying this stuff willy-nilly all over the place. All I ask is for proper respect and communication: 1) If food or my pets water-bowl is in the way of where you need to spray, please tell me so I can move it - don't blatantly ignore that its there and spray over it. 2) If I ask you what you are spraying, I don't want you to tell me that it's safe... it is pesticide, it is meant to kill things, it's not safe. I want you to tell me the name of the product so I can find out more about it. Seems simple enough, right? I used Bulwark for approximately a year's time. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted information on the type of insecticides being sprayed inside my home and that I wanted communication on location and method of application. In that time, my primary technician, the one that exclusively serviced my area, was constantly telling me, when I asked what he was using, that "it is safe," "it will not harm you, your kids, your animals," "I use it in my own home," etc. He then would proceed to spray, without communicating to me where he intended to spray, covering my pet's food and water bowls, covering produce that was sitting on my countertops, and even applying poison that dripped down into my kitchen drawer and all over my flatware. I made a complaint to bulwark and, after their reassurance, they assigned a new technician to my home. The new technician came out and provided services (May 23) without incident, however, a few days ago (June 13), I had a roach crawl through my living room, so I called for a follow-up. Bulwark sent a third technician, who I was unfamiliar with. The technician asked to see the area where I saw the roach. I showed her. She then proceeded, without further discussion to spray pesticide all over the room, dousing a a pile of organic tomatoes sitting on my sideboard, which I had just pulled from my garden. I could not be more furious. It seems clear to me that customer service training is not part of Bulwark's program, and maybe it's not standard at all in the industry, but I don't intend to use Bulwark again.

My first phone conversation was with Garrett and he was wonderful. He was incredibly informative and spent time answering all of my questions. Rolando, the technician manager who treated our home, was prompt and polite. He was very thorough and explained each step along the way. I was impressed with how he handled my questions and just simply how professional he was. Would absolutely recommend Bulwark to anyone.

They are so friendly. We take advantage of the annual service. If I see a problem between services they come back right away. They are eco-friendly. The product will not harm children, babies, or pets. I would recommend their service. They will come right out. I recommend taking advantage of their annual service, it is economical. They are very knowledgeable.

The provider want prompt, very courteous and efficient with our time.

I had called an exterminator because I was seeing ants on the side of my house and above the garage. The exterminator was nice and I could tell he had been doing this for a long time, but he did not know much about identifying species and how to exterminate them. He mention he did not want to be working and had another job after mine. It seemed like he was in a rush to complete the job and didn't really address the insect problems I was having. Overall I am satisfied with the job and will determine if I use this service again if I don't see anymore ants. I think the employees need to know more about what they do and listen to the customers information.

The provider called ahead and showed on time. They explained about how long it would take to perform the service and what exactly the service entailed. It only took less than 15 minutes for the exterior of the house to be treated and about the same amount of time to treat the inside of the house, up and downstairs. I appreciated that the provider took some extra time to focus on an infestation of carpenter ants to ensure they met their demise and would not return. I will look to using Bulwark in the future.

It went very well. They came within probably a week or two. They still come out now. If you just want me to rate the Deal, I'd give them an A but I think their quarterly service is kind of expensive so for that reason I give them a B. It is a one year contract. Just their contractual price was a little bit more than I paid for the same type of service previously.

They did a great job. The whole house was sprayed. It is a recent purchase that had been sitting empty for almost a year. After the first treatment I still noticed some bugs including scorpions. I let the service provider know and they came out and resprayed the whole exterior again, free of charge. Now, I still see some bugs but they are all dead. Great company to work with.

Love the text interface which massively reduces trading voicemail (experience I have had with other providers of myriad services). Professional, courteous, on-time, explained the work / approach. Do not need to be home for add'l / future visits.

This was the best service once they arrived. Polite, friendly, easy to talk to and understand exterminator. Very informative, knowledgeable about their products, and prompt. I have had many people come to fix things but this was the first time I was fully happy about what I had purchased and how the attitude of the employee was . He gave off the impression that he really enjoyed his job and took my needs to have things done right in a friendly yet professional way. I can now go outside and enjoy my property and not worry about strange things appearing in my house. Really greatful, ty ( the date i wrote is not correct but the year is )

They were on time and addressed all the areas I had concerns with. He gave me his number and said to call if the problem persisted. I will only use them for our exterminating needs.

This was a $59 big deal purchase. I don't think I am going to invite them back again because I had them out three different times to do what they should have done in the first place. I had an appointment set and he didn't show up. I called him two weeks later and asked him to come back out. When I first called them to set up a one time deal just to see if they would do a good job they sent me to a salesman and he signed me up for a whole year. When they came out and wanted me to sign something I said no because it was for a one time deal. They had it on there that I was supposed to get it every two months so they were very aggressive.

I purchased a Big Deal for a preventative pest treatment in November 2015. They received a failing overall rating from me due to lack of professionalism and responsiveness. I received follow up calls from a couple of supervisors asking for another opportunity to win over my business. On February 19,2016, I decided to give the company a second chance. Their service recovery was Great! The tech that came out was punctual, professional and explained how the service call would be performed. I was so pleased with the service that I have decided to have them come out annually. I would recommend their services.
