All Red Carpet drivers have a minimum of 5 years moving and driving experience with several boasting over 15 years of moving experience. Here at Red Carpet Moving and Storage, we leverage over 2 decades of moving experience to provide you with the best moving solutions on the market. Our founder Matt Pacheco has worked his way up in the industry for over 15 years. Starting as a “helper” he gained experience and climbed to top level positions in professional moving companies, working as a General Manager for the past 5 years. With this industry experience, Matt has paved his way into the industry and started Red Carpet Moving and Storage. At Red Carpet Moving and Storage, we treat our customers like we would our own family. Our professional estimators will consult with you to determine the most cost effective approach for your move. Then we literally roll out the red carpet with our high quality red floor runners used to protect high traffic areas during the move. Our experienced move team takes the time to pad and shrink wrap everything from small chairs to large armoires before they get moved, providing you with the extra protection needed to keep your belongings safe.

Red Carpet Moving and Storage did not respond to attempts to contact them (multiple phone calls to a now disconnected number, Red Carpet Moving and Storage website messages, emails, and Facebook messages, including messages to the owner, Matt Pacheco) and did not complete any packing or moving services, although I had prepaid for the move, in full.
Description of Work: I met with the owner who offered an estimate for my move. Additionally he offered a 10% discount if the move was paid in advance. After paying for the move, in full, in advance there was a delay in closing on my new home and Red Carpet Moving and Storage allowed me to reschedule my move. When I called to confirm the new date the phone lines had been disconnected. The company has not responded to emails, messages sent on the company website, or messages sent on Facebook.

This is by far the worst business transaction of my life, and personally I have never even heard of this type of horror story where a company refuses to communicate when they are in the wrong.
Description of Work: This review is coming from a customer who used this business when it was previously known as A & B movers and had 2 positive interactions/moves. Last year when I chose to store my things with them it was then under the current business name Red Carpet Movers. I stored with them for 15 months, during this time I was never late on a single payment yet I would constantly get bills and calls saying I was 2, sometimes 3 months behind. I had to take the time to call and make sure the office was up to date by sending my bank statements to the owner Matt Pacheco directly. Because of how the office was ran and the fact that I was terrified of them auctioning off my things (since according to them I was months behind) I decided to have them deliver my belongings to my home on 6/24/2014. Mary, the owners wife quoted me at 75/hr plus a 50 dollar moving fee. When the movers arrived they were quoting me at somewhere around 500 to unload about 2 rooms worth of furniture and boxes (they were done in 1 hour.) After the movers were arguing back and forth with the office, they finally decided to go with the original quoted price just to get the job done. I noticed they were unloading belongings that were definitely not mine. I commented on that and they started making a pile of things that did not belong to me. By the end, they were missing my kitchen table and chairs, 2 boxes, and a trunk. After acknowledging that they had "seen these items in the warehouse" they promised they would be back in the morning with the rest of my stuff and would call me or my roommate. That call, and my belongings never came. I began contacting the business constantly. I left uncountable voicemails that were NEVER returned. I finally got a hold of Mary and she assured me Matt would call by end of business. No call. I then filed with the Better Business Bureau on 6/29. I then began emailing Matt, and calling every chance I got. A manager Alex assured me he would look into the problem and call back. Again, no return. I emailed their website and tried calling Matt's personal cell phone, at this point it was disconnected. Mary answered the phone on 7/18 and told me she would not give me an address to come pick up my things and there was nothing that I or a police officer could do about it "for 90 days" she then disconnected the call. The next day Alex answered and I told him he had 24 hours to give me a professional answer - he either has my stuff or does not. He again promised he would call back. He of course, did not. Here I am a month later, paid in full and this company has "stolen" my belongings and refuses to take ownership and work this out with their customer.

21 Apr 14: This is an update on my situation with Red Carpet Moving and Storage (RC). I wrote to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) about my situation who in turned contacted RC. The owner Matt Pacheco replied to the BBB that he did owe me compensation and he would take care of it by 31 Mar 14. The BBB fowarded me Mr. Pacheco's reply and I sent a registered letter letting him know if there was anything or any information he needed to let me know. All these correspondences occurred prior to 5 Mar 14. I did not hear or receive anything from Mr. Pacheco, so on 5 Apr 14 I sent him another registered letter saying I was disappointed in that he again did not keep his word. I told him I would give him a little more time to do waht he said was needed before I contacted the BBB and Angie's List. As of 21 Apr 14 Mr. Pacheo has continued to demonstrate his unprofessionalism by not doing what he said, by not doing what is right, and by not contacting me. So much for his quality customer service. I am letting you know that any service by Mr. Pacheco and RC is to be at your own risk. The following information is what I wrote on my original review: Had to send registered mail as the owner refused to return my last 4 phone calls in which I left voicemails letting him know I needed to speak with him. We have moved several times within cities, from state to state, and overseas. Our experience with Red Carpet Moving & Storage so-called elite service has been the worse experience in all our moves. The owner is unprofessional and shows no true concern to our issues. Also he is apparently so insecure he does not allow employees to make decisions. Both the owner and his wife told me they would compensate us for the extreme inconveniences do to your scheduling mishaps and mishandling of our items, nothing was ever followed up. I in good faith held up the agreement, trusting you to make things right. Excerpt from their website: ?Our Mission To provide my customers with top notch professional services from start to finish from across the street or across the state. We do our best to alleviate the stress in moving. Let us roll out the red carpet for you. We mean what we say, ?Your move, our reputation!? Matt Pacheco, Founder? Let?s see how they did. Times: You did not make 1 time you stated. On the first day the time was changed 4 times and you still missed it. On the second day the time was changed 3 times and you didn?t make it. On the first delivery day, no time changes provided, just late. On the second delivery day, time changed once and crew late. By the way you promised you would be with the crew on the second delivery to talk with me. You weren?t, in fact you haven?t called me since then. Priority: You stated it would take 1 day. It didn?t and you said your crew would be out first thing the next morning. They weren?t and when asked, they said you told them they had another job scheduled. Now what kind of professional lets the first customer wait? Not an elite professional I assure you. Storage: ?State of the art storage facility? is what you claim on your web site. So good is your system you couldn?t find all my items to deliver them. You also delivered someone else?s items with ours. So you look, find some, make a second delivery, and I am still missing items. Results: You are poor at estimating truck/crew sizes, scheduling is terrible, you lied to us, broke items, lost items, and do not return phone calls. What you did 100% correct: Cash our checks. Apparently you had a memory lapse of your mission statement. As I have not heard from the owner I sent my letter by registered mail. I expect results to this matter to be resolved to our satisfaction. But since there has been no response, I am afraid I will have to take further action as Mr. Pacheco will ignore my situation. I cannot believe others have not had the same kind of unprofessional and negative service. In fact I know at least on other customer you had their items with mine. So I definitely do not recommend Red Carpet moving & Storage or any other organization Matt Pacheco may be involved with.
Description of Work: They were hired to pack, store, and transport household goods. What they did is miss appointments, lie about service, and lose items.

I contacted Red Carpet Movers to get a quote on moving a one bedroom townhouse to a house which is 6 miles apart. I spoke with Matt, and he was very professional and quoted a very competitive rate. I was able to get the time and day I wanted. Shawn and Lawrence showed up on time and were nice and professional. The guys worked very fast and handled most of my items with care. The quote was spot on and the guys didn't go over the time. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. From the first phone call till the guys drove off, I was pleased.

The service I received from the receptionist was exceptional, she went out of her way to make everything work for me.They arrived exactly at 8 and performed all the task within 2 hrs like I had requested. They grabbed all of my large items, and even helped with some of the smaller stuff since they were on such a great schedule. It literally saved me a whole day of moving and my back. I hope not to move again for a long time, but If i do I will use them again.

Matt was great in getting our move to San Antonio completed. His guys, Mark and PJ, did a great job and worked into the late hours to make sure it was done right. I was impressed with their positive attitude even when we were all exhausted. Matt was actually completing a move that another company in San Antonio was unable to complete. He said he would get it done and he came through with flying colors!

I had not moved in 40 years and it was a scary experience for me. Matt Pacheco the owner communicated well with me and set up the times and cost. He provided 3 very polite and respectful young men (Lawrence, Edward, and Mark) who arrived on time, wrapped and loaded my belongings and were pleasant to work with. The truck arrived at my new home the next day on time. Lawrence and Edward wrapped the doorway and proceeded to unload and put belongings in the correct rooms. They completed the job and then asked if there was anything that I would like moved to a different room. I feel they went above and beyond to leave a satisfied customer. Matt delivered as promised superior service and employees for my job.
