Alamo House Cleaning Services

I needed to replace my current housekeeper and went on Angie's List to find one. Alamo seemed to have what I needed so I called them, made the appointment for an estimate. They were promt on coming out, I think it was even the same day I called. They walked through my home that is about 3300 square feet and pointed out what they would be doing in the deep clean and what would be done on a weekly basis. It was what needed to be done. They quoted me 485.00 for the deep clean and 130.00 for weekly cleaning. We agreed and they were out within a week to start. The deep clean went well and was done for the most part pretty well. Things were done that I had not gotten around to doing and was glad that they provided that service. In my home I had specific instructions that needed to be followed or damage may have been a result. The first weekly cleaning was ok, there were things that I felt could have been done better. The second cleaning I found that my counter tops in the kitchen and the kitchen sink had been scratched and they counter tops can not be repaired without a total redo. There were also other items that were not cleaned properly. I found one of their cleaning sponges in my master bath drawer that I keep things in that I use either on my face, my grandkids or other things. I really felt that was unprofessional, their cleaning stuff does not belong in my bathroom drawers. I feel that is my personal items and they did not need to be in their. They also took it apon themselves to put things in places that they thought it should go instead of where I had them, causing me to have to look for things. With 8 people in the house three of them being my grandkids the oldest is 5, I dont have time to go looking for my things. This last cleaning the crew was there maybe an hour to an hour and a half, consisting of two people. I came home to find a terrible oder in the house, the floors had not been vaccumed as they should have beem, the bathroom sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets were still dirty. The master bedroom furniture had not been dusted, all the tile floors I swept and had a pile of dirt, under the dining room table was food that my grandkids had dropped, the kitchen counters were covered in a white film, the list goes on. I did call them back to correct the issues. The supervisor was coming as well. Upon the cleaning crew arriving I ask them to stop at the front door so that I could show them what I had found that needed to be corrected. All I got was attitude from them. It made it harder to communicate with them because they spoke spanish and I speek english. I had ask that there always be an english speeking person on the crew and that did not happen. When the supervisor got there I showed her what I had found and she assured me that it would be corrected. I did let her know that I felt that the house had not been cleaned properly. Upon that statement I assumed that she understood that the entire house needed to be gone over and redone, that did not happen. They did what I had showed them and said they were done. I was not at home when they were finished, but I did speek with the supervisor and said that I felt that she did know what I wanted and expected and that if that had been done than I trusted the house would meet my approval. Apon my return I inspected the house and found other things that should have been done with the redo, based on the condition the house was in after the first cleaning that day. They did say they were going to put a different crew on my home for the next time, but after the redo and the home still not being right with the supervisor being there I am not confident that this company is going to be able to meet my conditions. I feel for smaller jobs with less special conditions that this comapny most likely will do ok, but not for me. I would not recomend this company for larger jobs with lots of people and special conditions, the understanding of them is just not there.

Marcie came to my home to give me the estimate on the deep clean. We went over the house together, and she gave me the quote--5 people cleaning for 6-8 hours. I hired them. When they arrived at the scheduled date and time, they went right to work. It was like an ant farm! Eight hours later, they were finished. My home was sparkling and clean. I have since hired them to come back to do biweekly cleaning. It was well worth the cost.

The manager came by to give us a quote. He was on time. We reviewed the whole house and specifically what needed to be done. Specifically that we had guests coming who were allergic to our 3 cats. We needed the house very clean to avoid cat allergy problems. He made a list of things to be cleaned. He said he specifically noted that special care was needed with the quail in a glass case. We were quoted and paid $440.00 Crew was supposed to be at my house about 8:30. The manager was on time. The others were about 20 minutes late. We requested a ?deep cleaning? as we were having guests who are allergic to cats. We have 3 cats. We made sure that the manager was aware of this requirement. Our house is a 2 bedroom 2 ½ bath. The tile floors had been replaced and there was tile dust in some places. The cleaning was completed about on time. All of the people were nice and polite. They asked me if everything was done to my satisfaction. I checked and it was not. They had to re-clean most of the blinds and the floor. We have blinds in every room. The floor had lots of dirty spots. The mop they had was a piece of crap. It should have been replaced a long time ago. They did not have a mop bucket. Our floors are all Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT). There is no carpet in the house. After they mopped there was small debris on the floor in every room. I showed them the debris and many spots on the floor. In my opinion the floor got a quick once over the first time, with a dilapidated not so clean mop. No special attention was paid to getting the spots not cleaned by a once over. They spot cleaned some of the spots I showed them with a spray bottle and a rag. Some they got clean, some not. Finally they mopped the whole floor again. This time they used my mop and mop bucket. The people were cooperative, no complaints. They said they were finished and left. Upon inspecting the floor after the second mopping, third in some rooms, there were still some spots and still some debris. The furniture was mostly clean. On some furniture I found pet hair. It looked as though it had been wiped without paying any attention to see whether it was clean or not. Nobody was checking the work to be sure the floor ( or anything else) was clean after they went through the motions of sweeping and mopping. They did not clean up the debris that is usually scattered after mopping. Some things they cleaned well, such as light fixtures, cat trees, and bathrooms (except floors). They broke a glass case around a pair of mounted quail. (We had specifically cautioned them about this piece when we got the quote, it cannot be picked up by the top ) They told me about it and showed me the broken glass. I intend to have it repaired at their expense. We were told that all of the books would be removed from the book cases and the shelves cleaned and the books cleaned and replaced. This was not done. A laundry folding table, which is on wheels in the laundry area had not been moved and the floor cleaned underneath. There is a cat litter box nearby. There was cat litter and hair under this table. This area of the floor had not been swept, vacuumed, or mopped. The HVAC return vents were supposed to be cleaned but were not. There is a clear chair mat on the floor in a bedroom/study. It had many small bits of debris on it, perhaps 3 dozen . The rest of the floor was comparable, just the bits of trash were harder to see on the wood colored floor. Wife?s comments: Windows streaky; Doors well dusted; furniture not put back like it was; Book cases, books and shelves not done; Return air vents not done; I did not give the people a tip. Normally I would have, but did not think it was deserved.

I used Alamo for a move-in cleaning on a new house I'd purchased. The house had been vacant for a few months and needed a deep, thorough cleaning - cobwebs, dust, etc. I will say that this company was great as far as Jorge responding to my calls immediately and staying in touch w/ me when the cleaning crew was stuck in horrible traffic due to road construction. They were late getting here, but like I said, I believe that was due to the bad traffic across town. Overall, I was satisfied w/ their service and would use them again, however during the walk through, I would pay more attention to the small details. When i moved in, I realized there were some cobwebs on the recessed lights that weren't cleaned (I caught one light during the walk through but not the others), there were a couple white cabinets that had not been wiped down well, and there were a couple drawers/inside of cabinets that had been missed. For the almost 6 hours they were here and the almost $400 it cost me, I would have liked for some of those details to have been addressed, but also my fault for missing it. I had a couple things that I asked them to do before they left and they did them without question, so I know they would have cleaned the missed items had I really known what I was looking for during the walk through. I would recommend them to a friend.

I love this group. They do a thorough job and are very responsive. One of the reasons that I switched groups was that I could not rely on a set schedule with our previous cleaning crew and it was extremely difficult to get a call back when attempting to schedule. Alamo Housecleaning has been very dependable. They come every four weeks and last month (per my request) they were very flexible and came a few days earlier than the originally scheduled date because my mother in law was visiting. I also like the way they clean, bathrooms, floors, windows. It is very nice to come home after they have been at my house!

I called late on a Saturday and they gave me a call back first thing Monday morning. He proceeded to make a brief evaluation and set up a time and date in the next week. They let me know what products that would be used and how many people there would be. The workers were right on time for the appointment and stayed until 9:00. They did a very great job and were very quiet. They were professional in their demeanor, courteous, and thorough. I would highly recommend them.

I was not impressed from the very beginning. One of the owners came into my home and immediately started running his fingers over the surfaces in the house as if he were calculating the price of the cleaning. He gave us a 1st time cleaning price and then a price based on coming to my home every other week. I thought they were high on both, but they had gotten such good reviews, that I felt it was probably worth it since my husband and I work very long hours. I thought they did just ok work the first 2 times, but then I noticed things that weren't clean at all. I called the company and let them know. They told me they would send someone out on Monday, because on Friday (my usual day), they didn't have anyone "good" enough. This past week was the last straw. It was hard to tell if they were even there. I will be calling them today to cancel my service. As an aside, they used or took all my paper towels after telling me they bring all their own cleaning products and there are other items that I can't seem to find. Nothing of real importance that I know of, but extremely annoying that I can't find things where I left them.

Fantastic job, they did a joint walk through inspection afterwards, any problems were corrected on the spot. I liked their performance so much that I have hired them for regular periodic cleaning

I liked everything. They didn't make me sign a contract. I loved that. They came in and the cleaning was extremely effective. They were real fast and the house was clean. I thought it was great!

I was impressed that 3 people came to give me an estimate, two of whom would be doing the actual cleaning. During the estimate I explained that we needed to clean our high ceilings/fans/light fixtures which have not been thouroughly cleaned in over 3 years. The estimate was reasonable to me, due to the fact that they were agreeable to 1) bringing their own equipment 2) bring laddars to reach high places and 3) bring a large crew. The appointment was scheduled and the crew began arriving within the specified arrival range. The crew was dressed appropriately, quiet and respectful. 4 of the 6 spoke english well, the other 2 enough to communicate. They were very mindful of our dog, and careful not to let her out the front door. They began immediately, and notified me whenever they were working near something that was fragile and wanted my assistance. They worked all day without taking many breaks. They split into 3 teams of two and cleaned our entire 7,500 sq ft home in just over 8 hours. They even helped move furniture to vacuum behind a few pieces. Every person on this team was busy all day. At the end of the day, I commented that it felt like we just moved in, and my husband felt like it was actually cleaner than when we moved in. And an unexpected surprise, I asked them to tell me when they completed a particular room so I could move an area rug, and they did it for me (carpet cleaners were coming the next day). If I had any comments at all, they did leave a few cleaning items out (my vacuum, a rag), although I am sure that was mistakenly done. Some of the furniture was moved to clean and not repositioned, however I think that has a lot to do with their being in the house for the first time. We were very satisfied with the completed service.

They were very good and they come out every other week. They do a great job and you can tell they want to do a great job. They check to make sure I'm satisfied and if there's ever a problem they work hard to correct it. I have nothing but good things to say.

They were very efficient and they went above and beyond.

An unbelievably excellent job. They cleaned all the "obvious" places, but literally took every book out of our bookshelves and dusted the shelves AND the books! They cleaned all air duct entries/exits, they cleaned behind everything, on top of everything - everywhere in the house. I consider the price a GREAT value given the high quality work done. We have arranged for every-two-week service from now on.

I was impressed by their level of professionalism, their hard work, and their attention to detail. We have a large home (5000 sq ft) with a lot of special materials- copper sinks, turqoise sink, onyx, hand carved wood cabinets from Mexico- they researched the proper way to care and clean for each material. They communicated throughout the process to make sure I approved of what was being done. Even small things- such as did we empty the baby diaper pail properly, and I see that you are on the computer- is it okay if I clean in this area, there was a room I didn't expect them to take care of that they swept, cleaned up and mopped in. They also had me to a final walkthrough to make sure I approved. I am a week away from delivering a baby and feel like they did everything I couldn't do but wanted done. Looking forward to their maintenance work as well.

They charge a lot, but I have a large house with some special needs, so the price was fair. Their service was very good. I would use them again.

OMG, these people are amazing!! They have cleaned my house from top to bottom and it is absolutely beautiful...my house hasn't been this clean since the day I moved in almost 14 years ago...I will definitely have them come back for monthly maintenance...thank you so much for your superb, prompt, and efficient customer service. They do a good job, the staff is very friendly and from what I can tell they do a great job on the floors.

It went very well. We met (on time) and I got an estimate and a date of service. For the service they were on time, professional, and did a great job.

I have a 2000 sq ft. house. Cleaning covered the three bedrooms, two living areas, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, laundry area, porch and husband's office. Dust all surfaces, wash floors, clean kitchen surfaces, vacuum carpet in bedroom areasetc. ,

They are excellent. Two ladies come and I'll have them every two weeks. It was a thorough cleaning. They were very nice, kind, and willing to do anything I asked.

I was very pleased with the services of this company. We were moving out, and needed a fast clean up. With immediate response, this company provided GREAT service. They arrived exactly on time and completed the job thoroughly, with attention to the smallest detail. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

The experience was wonderful--my home is a one level home but with some good cleaning to be done--so the accuracy that they work with in getting every single corner and leaving it sparkling clean is awesome. Excellent work Alamo House cleaning--i am definitely satisfied with the services provided.

They clean top to bottom. We use them about every 3-4 weeks and have been for the past 6 months! Love them, so nice and we can text anytime to reschedule. It is soo nice to come home to a clean house and know it will never disappoint. Definitely recommend them!!

They have done an excellent job. They always do their job; they are always on time and finish on time. My wife and I are both satisfied and I will use them again in the future.

Three people arrived at my home, a gentleman and two women. They cleaned my house from top to bottom, including 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining room, and bedrooms. They also cleaned mini-blinds and the inside windows. I believe they spent about 6 or 7 hours working at my house. When I came to check the house out, it was beautiful! The entire place sparkled. I would recommend this company to anyone, and if I need a cleaning service again, they are the first people I would call. I can't say enough good things about them!
