Everyone we dealt with at Alamo Handyman was courteous and timely in getting with us on all questions or aspects of the job. Brad, the gentleman that did the actual work, was friendly and very punctual. His work was exceptional and he ensured that the ceiling and wall matched as close as possible. The work was accomplished within the timeframe specified. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of working with this company and would use them again.

We got the quote which we felt was extremely high. The quote lumped everything together that he planned to do (remove old door, haul off old door, replace door, add trim, etc). I called and asked for a breakdown of each item so I knew where all the cost was coming from. I was told twice by the girl who answered the phone that she would contact the guy that gave the quote and get back with me. After two phone calls, I quit trying to get in touch with them and never heard back.

bad. still cleaning up from it. plus toilet install was bad, after doing number 2, the toilet let all the nasty from inside it out all over my floor because they did not seal it well with the wax ring!!

I rushed home to be there for our scheduled appointment. Unfortunately the company was a no show. I called the office a little after 5:00. A gentleman answered the phone and I told him the situation. He politely asked me to hold for a moment. When he returned to phone he stated the company was closed and asked if I wanted to leave a message to which I replied no thank you.

He did a good job. We will continue to use him in the future.

We've got like a barn that we basically wanted to turn into a laundry room and they did some of the plumbing in that. They did it within their estimate and they did it in one day, so that was nice. There was one thing that they did which I actually approved but they kind of talked me through it which I regret that it happened; I don't know if I can blame them. I think they were trying to cut corners a little bit and I said okay but I actually should have said not to do it that way. Other than that, they did a good job. They seemed fine and I didn’t have any problems with them.

I was very pleased with the experience. When I called to see if these services could be provided I was also advised up front about pricing. The technician arrived on time and was very professional. He took the time to explain to myself and father the problem and corrected the clogged vent. He was very honest and the problem was fixed without any material costs.

I called for an estimate on a repair and introduced myself as a real estate agent. They stated they did not work with real estate agents and they were too swamped for new business. Will not be recommending their services to any of my clients.

They are just amazing. They went above and beyond. They are so polite and professional. They are always on time and never take a break. If he can't do something for you, he will tell you.

Lalo Arcos of Alamo visited my home to get the info needed to give me a bid. A few days later I received a bid, which I accepted. I set up an appointment and Mr. Arcos and another Alamo employee came and spent much of a day working on the tasks to be done. A few days later Mr. Arcos returned and completed the work. I was quite impressed with Mr. Arcos' range of knowledge. The tasks covered several disciplines and he handled them all well. I wasn't sure how I wanted a couple of the jobs done, so I merely described the result I wanted and left the details in Mr. Arcos' hands. His solutions were quite creative. Since all but one of the jobs on the bid were completed, I graded Alamo B instead of A. The one that was missed was cleaning the aerators on my bathroom faucets. It was only a small job and I have subsequently been able to do it myself. I accept part of the blame for not catching the fact that it wasn't done because I didn't review the quote before I paid Alamo. The work they did was well worth what I paid them even without the one they missed. The next time I use Alamo I will confirm appointments via email. There was some confusion on appointments. I'm sure they were at fault as I'm sure that they feel I was at fault. It was probably a matter of unclear communications.

Although they were late getting to my house, the repair went off without a hitch and it looks great. I would definitely use them again.

It went very well! We had to split the work because the new back door had not arrived. The 4 interior doors were basically reset to square. They were quick, efficient, and on time. The back door was installed nicely. They did a great job with all of the doors but I didn't understand why it took 2 weeks for back door to be available for install. That being said, their work was quick, affordable, and worth every dollar! I would recommend them for just about any service around the house and will use them again!!

I was disappointed by the written estimate after having spoken to the man who came over to see the work I wanted done. I wanted a 110 volt outlet added, some ceiling fans balanced, a light added in the attic, and a few other small things. We also discussed adding a whole-house surge protector, but he said he would have to bring in another contractor for that to see the circuit box, and since that did not happen I don't believe that was included in this estimate. The estimator thought the work would take less than a day, so at their hourly rate I was expecting an job estimate of $600, but instead it was over $2000. I asked him to break out the cost of adding the electrical receptacle, and that was over $1000. Instead of hiring this contractor, we hired an electrician who installed the electrical receptacle for $135.

After estimate was emailed I needed to ask a question and during our conversation the lady discovered she'd sent me the estimate for our hallway and not the laundry room/bedroom estimate and said she'd need to resend the estimate. The first one was about $843. and the next one was $1700. Because several days had elapsed between these, we had another company give us an estimate as well to compare. Their turnaround from estimate, to emailing the estimate and checking with us was prompt and the cost $960. to paint, add trim, and small sheetrock replacement for laundry and bedroom. They have good reviews and we were pleased with their work. I gave the B rating overall because of the price difference and I had to pursue follow up.

The supervisor that looked at the job and estimated it was very professional and knowledgeable, but the guys that did the job were a little heavy-handed and less careful than I would have liked. Eventually it was done on time and at the estimated price, however.

First of all I was not offered a senior discount. I was charges 150.00 which is an hourly rate plus 75.00 dollars for labor. It took about 30 to 45 minutes. I was under the impression that the 150.00 covered. They did tell me ahead of time that there would be a charge of 150.00 and another of 75.00. I was a new widow and my husband had taken care of all of this stuff and I had no idea about what was or was not a proper amount.

Enrique and Alan were very professional during the whole process. They came during the times that we were home and were very flexible when appointments came up. They came out for 3 days for about 4 hours a day until the job was completed. Everything looks great and came in about $1000 less than another bid I received. Already have Enrique getting me a quote on some other electrical work that is needed in the house. High quality work from them and will use again.

The handyman was punctual and very professional. He provided me with a list of supplies he needed and I went to Home Depot to get them. He completed the work and cleaned up up the spaces where he worked. He was very easy to work with and I will use the company again.

It took two days to get a return phone call from them but I went ahead and set an appointment and was told Lalo would come between 8-9. He didn't arrive, so at 10:00 I called the company. I was told that he was running late and would be here within the hour. It was frustrating that we sat here and waited for him and the company knew he was running late but no one called us to let us know. He did come and measured and told my husband they would e-mail the estimate. A week later we had never heard from them. I called the company and was told that Lalo had the estimate but he wouldn't be able to send it to us until the next Monday. However, then someone called me later that afternoon apologizing for the confusion and said she would e-mail the estimate that afternoon. She also told me the estimate which was extremely high. We never got an e-mail. We are now using someone else and already have installation date set. We will never call Alamo Handyman again!

Our experience with them was first class. Everything was done to perfection. They cleaned up well. They explained everything that they were going to do. It was done the same day. There were two guys, Freddie and Brad. Both did a great job. We thought the price was very reasonable.
