Replaced three entry doors with upgraded, high-quality steel doors. Installation was done on schedule, they took their time to do the job properly and were courteous and professional throughout the entire process. Price was competitive with other companies providing similar products, and the quality of the doors and the workmanship were worth the cost. The doors look fantastic, and we will certainly consider using Southern Pride Openings again on future door and window projects.

Tom (the owner) visited our home to discuss the vinyl frame window product and later returned to take precise measurements for both windows. Tom explained that the vinyl framed windows do not conduct either heat or sound like the old aluminum framed windows and are more durable under severe weather conditions such as hail and high winds. He is extremely knowledgeable about his product and was very patient with all of our questions. Tom requested half of the payment as a deposit and then ordered the windows which arrived in about two weeks. The arches at the top of our tall windows significantly increased our cost. However, the final product is beautiful and has definitely enhanced the curb appeal of our home. After the windows had arrived Kelli (Tom's wife) and Justin (the installer) dropped the windows off in our garage, carefully arranging the product to protect it from falling or other damage. The next day Justin performed his task with excellence. He carefully avoided any damage to my office desk which slightly overlaps the window that he was installing. He also replaced the water damaged window sill. The old window sill was damaged by a long term water leak through the window. Justin installed the windows without any damage to the home, furnishings, floor, paint or plants outside in the immediate proximity of the window. Justin took great care to correctly seal each window. Subsequent storms have proven that Justin's installation was complete and correct, with no leakage. In each room the summer air temperature is much lower and the rooms are much quieter due to the vinyl framed windows. Before the windows were replaced each room became very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter and one could clearly hear a normal conversation in the street from either bedroom. Tom, Kelly, and Justin are very nice people who we enjoyed having in our home and doing business with. We plan on using Southern Pride Openings in the future to gradually replace all of our windows as our finances allow.

Our experience was great. The bid was was on par with another quote we received, but at the time they were having a special with a free upgrade to their highest efficiency glass while to get a similar price from a different vendor we were having to go with the lowest grade glass. The crew was professional, nice, and left all areas neat and clean when they finished. The new windows look great and seem to doing a better job keeping the heat and dirt out of the house. Highly recommend!

Larry Herold responded promptly to my request for a quote and arranged an evening appointment at my convenience. He thoroughly explained the features and benefits of the product (vinyl windows) and brought materials to demonstrate. I was impressed with the product and guarantees. Once I decided to go with Southern Pride Openings, the owner, Tom Herold, came out to measure - also in the evening. Tom was very pleasant and helpful. He even showed me how to make my two screen doors easier to open and close! An installation was scheduled as soon as the windows arrived. Tom and Justin arrived promptly in the morning and completed the installation in one day, with the exception of one incorrectly manufactured window with an unusual arch that had to be sent back to the manufacturer and a new one built. This window was installed as soon as it arrived. Justin cleaned up inside and outside at the end of each installation and even cleaned the windows. I am very pleased with the look of the windows, the ease of opening, and the ability to tilt the windows so I can clean from inside the house. The windows face south and west and the new windows do a great job of cutting the amount of heat entering the house. I plan on replacing all my windows over the next year and I will definitely be using Southern Pride Openings.

From the first contact to the end we were very impressed with the professionalism of everyone from the company. The "sales" part of it was very comfortable to us and no pressure. We had all of our questions answered. The windows were installed today. Two men did it in less than 12 hours and completely cleaned up. They were very easy to have in our home. The windows look fantastic! We're very happy.

Tom called me the night before he wanted to start construction earlier and asked if they could start earlier then the 8:00 am time. I thought that was an excellent idea. Tom and Justin came in unloaded and prepped an hour or two earlier in the morning. Tom took the time to let me know what he was going to do and how things would go. It went as planned. Tom and Justin removed the sliding glass door, created the new frame for the door, installed insulation in the frame, installed the new door and caulked everything up nice and weather tight. They were both quite courteous, efficient and were very detail oriented. They cleaned up as they went and took the old sliding glass door and hardware with them when they left, which I was very grateful since that meant I would not have to haul it to the curb myself. This company is stellar! My husband and I talked with other window companies and chose Southern Pride Openings. We are convinced we made the best choice after their incredibly professional, quality installation of our new windows. First of all, they came to our house and walked through everything we wanted to do and listened intently. They made professional suggestions that helped us to make decisions about one particular window. They really helped weigh the cost and options on what to do with that window and as a result we have a beautiful new bay window that is ideal for the location. The could also get the replacement windows in record time because of their excellent relationship with the provider. Our '60s house did not have wood molding around the windows and as they went around the house replacing windows, they also put molding around the windows. What an update! They were neat and clean and always professional. I would highly recommend Southern Pride Openings and use them again in a heartbeat.

Southern Pride Openings entire staff from the front office to the installation crew were amazing. This is a family-owned operation that works hard and ensures the final product is perfect. Tom was great during our initial meeting by listening to what we were looking for, providing us with options, and not trying to oversell us on products we didn't need. After hiring this company, the timeframe from placing our order to final installation was approximately 2 weeks. In addition, the installation crew only needed one day to complete our entire installation. The crew was hard working and very professional. Finally, the overall final product turned out wonderful! We would highly recommend Southern Pride Openings to any of friends, family, or other Angie's List members.

I have only good things to say about our experience with Tom, Amy and Southern Pride. We first met with Tom on 6/5, and I was impressed with his enthusiasm for and his professional presentation of his product. After receiving three additional bids, we went with Southern Pride and signed the contract on Sunday 6/22. Tom promised to have the job finished in 4 weeks and in 2 1/2 weeks we got the call that the windows were in and could be installed the next day. Tom brought 2 crews and they were able to install all 23 windows in one day. I was impressed with how hard these men worked and how well they communicated with each other. They tried to keep our discomfort at a minimum on this extremely hot day and the workers were unobtrusive. They left the job site outside clean, and furniture was put back in place. Tom even installed a flag holder bracket for me! I liked how Tom (the owner) worked as hard as his crew - he really knows his windows and is a perfectionist, and seems to have equally high expectations of his crews. Great work, Southern Pride!

My brothers and I inherited our late parents home not too long ago and I am in the process of updating it and fixing it up so we can eventually sell it. I saw the Southern Pride Openings advertisement on Angie's List and contacted them to get an estimate on new doors/windows. All the doors/windows in the house were all original from 1977. Tom came out and spent 5 hrs discussing it with me and answered all my questions/concerns and made me feel confident in my decision to contract with him for 4 new doors and 15 new windows. He also became good friends with the dogs. His wife Kelli and Amy handle the business end and are very professional and knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal/talk with. Cost was approx. $15,000 which included installation and repairing 2 door frames along with some other minor fixes. The products arrived earlier then expected and Tom and Justin came out and spent 3 days installing these items. They were very professional, meticulous, thorough, and made sure that each door/window was a proper fit and worked properly. They were also very thorough at cleaning up after their work. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished products. The house should definitely appreciate in value and be more energy efficient now as well. I can't speak more highly of Tom/Kelli and their Company. They absolutely know how to run and business and are definitely customer friendly/oriented. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future and I HIGHLY recommend them for your door/window needs. We were so impressed with our interaction with this company. Tom spent time explaining his product and how he would install it. As soon as the glass came in they set up a time and installed in an hour's time. Love the product and love the company!

Larry (the father of the owner, Tom) came out and showed us the windows they had available and did some quick measuring so that he could give us a quote. He gave us an estimate on the spot, and the meeting was very low pressure. He was able to make some sound suggestions and was very informative. We forgot to mention that we were also interested in doors, so he had to come out a second time with his door samples, and we had a similar, pleasant experience. We had a couple other quotes that were more expensive, and we were pleased with the professionalism that Larry had originally shown. We put 50% down on the job and were scheduled within a week by Kelli (wife of the owner) to have Tom (owner) come out and take exact measurements for the doors and windows. The order was placed, and within 2 weeks the windows were in. We were scheduled 2 days after they arrived for installation. These were two American guys employed by Southern Pride Openings and not day laborers. They were extremely polite and professional. They even accidentally broke some sheetrock and made it a point to tell me immediately when it occurred. In their defense the drywall was already weak from a termite infestation we'd had many years ago. The installation was very well-done, and they finished in two days. About a week later the doors came in, and Tom came out to install them about a week after they arrived. The job took a full day, and he re-keyed another lock of ours to match the new ones. He did an excellent job installing the doors. I know that's not easy to do well, and he's definitely a craftsman. I think their prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the product and the installation. They do great work, they're very professional and polite, and they're honest. I wish I could use these guys for all the work we have done our house.

It's probably not possible for me to enhance the steller reviews that Southern Pride Openings have gotten on Angie's List. But let me try. I contacted Tom because I wanted to surprise my Dad & Step-Mom with a new set of french doors to replace their aging sliding patio door. (Aging to the point that they jammed a screwdriver in the base to lock it!). Not only did Tom come out and basically get this thing figured out in one visit... Not only was he able to get the custom sized french doors made in less than a week... He also was able to time the installation on a Saturday that we were out of town most of the day, so that it truly was a surprise. He showed up on queue after we had left, worked through the day, and by the time we got back a set of nice new french doors was installed. My step-mom was stunned. She cried. It made her year. All of this wouldn't have been nearly so amazing without Tom going above and beyond the call. I can't recommend him more highly.

We had 3 visits by 3 different people from this company. The first was to provide an estimate. The owner was very knowledgeable of his product and gave us good advice on our selection. The second visit was to do the measurements. Again, very knowledgeable of the product and friendly. The third was the installer, Justin. He did an excellent job. Worked for several hours and everything looked fantastic. This was a great experience. Everything went well and the timing was exactly as they communicated. We are very pleased with the result.

Tom did a wonderful job in installing a low E window in my bathroom. This quote was the most affordable option that I have received. Even with this small project, he really did his best from consulting, installation, and cleaning! In addition to the work given, he fixed our loosen door for free. I would say I am a quite picky customer; I couldn't be happier than this! I strongly recommend Tom to everyone. I will definitely get back to Tom when I need more work related to doors and windows!

The job was great. We are very satisfied with every aspect of the removal and installation. The entire team at Southern Pride Openings was very thorough and professional. The new windows greatly enhanced the appearance of the house both inside and out. The installers did a wonderful job. They did a great cleanup inside and as well. The people are easy to work with very knowledgeable and shoot straight with you. The windows are quality windows and reasonably priced. You can't go wrong with these people

It went very well. The salesman was one of the installers. He was polite, informative but not pushy. The day of the installation they arrived on time, did the work efficiently, and were extremely considerate of our house, our furniture, us. I would recommend them and we would use them again if the need arose.

The job was carried out very professionally and I could tell great care was taken to make the workmanship as near perfect as possible. The work floor area was covered in padded covers and near-by furniture was draped to protect from dust. At the end of the job the work debris was completely cleaned and removed. Everyone I came into contact with in this company was friendly and courteous and I plan to use them again to replace more doors as my budget allows. The work they did looks wonderful.

Excellent experience. What we received is exactly what we expected. Larry, Tom, Shane, and Justin were superb to work with. The quality of the doors is top notch especially for the price. Shane and Justin worked hard finish the installation in one day. We could tell they take a lot of pride in their work. Who knew we could be so excited about doors, but we keep opening and closing them and liking the huge improvement.

I had asked at least 3 other "door" professionals to bid on my project prior to joining Angie's list. Because of how my door was put in in the 60s, it was not a simple replacement and required some creativity. Southern Pride came by and worked with me to find a solution. The installation took a lot longer than expected and they were incredibly patient and gracious. Also, made sure to install extra insulation.

We have a somewhat complicated set up as we have a French door opening with a faux front door on one side. Another contractor from this site had quoted us $1,000-$1,500 more than Southern Pride to re-work the door frame/opening area to fit a regular door while using Home Depot $289 door. We went with Tom and Kelli with Southern Pride and got a nice heavy steel door and matching trim. Kelli was prompt in responding to my emails and Tom was thorough in explaining the products and services he offers. Tom and his partner completed the job on times and cleaned up the front door and porch area, and touched up areas that he didn't even work on. Tom performed quality work and deliver as promised. I would recommend Southern Pride Openings for exterior door needs.

This family owned and operated company is comprised of true professionals. The service was great, painless and flawless. The door looks great and everything was done to perfection including cleanup. The door has a lifetime warranty and the quality is awesome. From the ordering process through installation, this group was responsive and efficient.

We all have so many choices when looking for companies to complete work in and around our homes. In this instance a new replacement for our patio door was at the top of our list. Our search began with the BBB and led us to Southern Pride Openings. An endorsement from Angies List helped to finish the initial search and we picked up the phone to set our first appointment. Speaking to someone in person rather than a recording is always a welcome experience. Kelli was quick to understand our need for immediate help and scheduled an appointment the same day to get more information on replacement options. Even though later in the evening than most would want, we were thankful to get her husband Tom to come by the next evening after his last job and complete the order. In addition, Tom was kind enough to install a temporary solution to secure our damaged door. Three weeks later, Tom and his crew were back to install our new custom door for the patio. The work was meticulous and Tom made sure every element of the install was to our liking. We could not be more pleased with our new patio door and a storm door added to the front of the house. It's obvious why the name of the company includeds the word pride...Tom and Kelli run a terrific family business and will have you feeling proud of the result. We will recommend them to anyone who needs thier service and attention to detail for replacement doors and windows!

Southern Pride is an A plus company that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. They responded to our request for a quote within a couple of hours and came to our house at the agreed time to explain various options and give us a quote. They were very professional and took their time explaining every option. The door had to be ordered which was expected. The door was installed on the agreed day and we couldn't be happier. The quality of their work is a above and beyond what you would expect from one of the big box stores. They removed the old door, installed the new door, replaced the trim around the door (inside and out) and even replaced the trim around the adjoining windows so everything matched. Then they cleaned everything up and even hauled away the old door. The new door is very high quality as was their work. Very professional and friendly group of people to work with and I will definitely work with them again.
