"Dear [Member Name Removed] I am so sorry to hear you are having an issue... I asked my guys if they had talked to you recently and no one can remember you calling us about the noise......... Our warranty program is excellent..... you can bring the car back to us, or you can have it warrantied at a Dallas location ( as we are in Rockwall and you are in Dallas) or if you have a problem any where in the country, you are covered at any one of almost 14,000 shops................I wish you would have called us so we can be of assistance to you directly.....Reading this review was the first time we heard of your issue..... You may well have an a/c compressor. Parts do fail sometimes and you are fully covered by our warranty.... However the noise could be a belt or a pulley. Since we have not seen the car in a year, we have no idea what the sound is or what is causing it.... So bottom line is that you are covered for any parts failure on the repair.... If you would bring the car to us, we will gladly remedy any situation with the compressor if it is defective... Your warranty on the compressor is good until April 29 of this year... "[Member name removed], I am not sure what your issue with us is. There were no comments. The one and only time I show you were in for service was November 6, 2011 at 12:27 pm. At that time all we did was to replace a small hose on the windshield washer and change the oil in your 2008 BMW. I looked for the possibility that maybe the date you mentioned was in someone else's name. I have 4 people with your last name and none of them have your address. / exhaust work was also overpriced, but at least they recommend that we check with CleanAirTexas to get a credit (which was good thing for Horizon). We had to pay over and above that to complete all the work. If we had not felt loyalty to them for at least suggesting the credit, we would have gone elsewhere. We had quotes that were far less for the work. The check engine light mystery never did get solved. They wanted MORE money for a smoke test before they would consider even looking further. Horizon is very good about post-visit contact (you will be on their marketing lists for life) and was nice and friendly at pick-up of the vehicle. We have since taken our cars to other auto places that are far less expensive (for brakes, starter, oil changes), however, we may consider using them again if we had transmission or engine rebuilt that we needed.
"Thank you for your comments...However I am a bit confused... You commented we were rude. Heath basically walked you though the process of getting your car repaired and having more than 2/3 of it paid for by the state.... We started talking to you back on February 3. We went back and forth a few times helping you get all the paperwork necessary to get the Air Check Texas grant. You ended up paying about $220 out of a bill of $820 over the two visits to the shop..... We thought we were being very helpful with you, just like we try to do with all of our customers.. Air Check Texas paid $600 of your bill.... Regarding the price of the repair...we only put on original equipment or better parts. There are many shops which will install a generic catalytic for somewhere around $300 or less... We have looked at these generic products but if they are not made for a specific vehicle they can cause the vehicle to run inefficiently and possibly cause engine damage. We simply will not put on these types of generic products... If that is the price we are being compared to then we will never look good... It is the same way for brakes for example. Some shops put on brakes pads they pay $8 for. Most of our brakes pads cost us 6 or 7 times that amount. But ours do not create dust, seldom squeak, perform better, and last longer. It is just the way we choose to do business...We make far less margin on many products but we only put on the parts which are supposed to go on the vehicle.... ..............again I regret if you think we were rude, that is never our intent... In this case, remember we worked with you for over 3 weeks to help you get the repair paid for by the state. "(removed member name), To try to reply to your evaluation. We did a small repair to AC system and an oil change. Your truck had 105K miles, which is very little for that engine. A lot of the recommended repairs were brakes and shocks and a transmission flush.. The work we recommended was all preventative maintenance. Your turbo is leaking oil. It is showing up at the front of the intercooler.. We took you and showed you the oil all over the front of the intercooler.. We did not tell you that this repair was urgent. Our technician and our service adviser talked to you and said you will have a problem somewhere down the road. We never implicated that the work needed to be done now. It was for future awareness... As far as the AC not working, we would have been happy to see the issue the next day. All we put on, in terms or repairs, was a $14 service port. That was the only leak showing with an electronic "sniffer"...That was a very evident problem but with any AC system there could be a small leak elsewhere. We did put dye into the system which will allow us to visibly see any other leaks after the truck was driven for a while. We told you we did that and if there was any problem to let us know... When you left, my guys said you were very happy and grateful for showing you the problems.. We never told you the engine had any problems.. All we told you was that leaking turbos are very common problems and you will need to address it at some point. Had you simply called us we could have addressed any other AC problem as we discussed with you after having put the dye in. I am very sorry you had any issue. It is never convenient ..
