Great.

They were extremely professional, showed up on time, and completed the project in two days (one day for wood work, one day for painting). I've already had several neighbors ask me who performed the work! We were very happy with the entire process, they made it easy, we will definitely use them again!

He did a great job and we would use him again. He is the first and only painter that we call now. We know that his estimates are accurate. Whenever we had any type of problem, he went out of his way to fix it.

Schedule a date/time for someone to come give me an estimate on a fence cleaning/stain. No one showed at the appointed time and I never heard from them again.I give responsiveness as a "C" because I didn't have any problem scheduling the on site estimate. Unfortunatley that was the only time I ever interacted with anyone from the company again.

Terrific painting company. I selected 3 companies from Angie's List and obtained quotes from each. Steve Tickner's was the lowest bid and easiest to work with in terms of small additions to the items included in the original bid. And since we had used Steve previously for both exterior and interior painting with complete satisfaction, I decided to accept his bid for my latest paint project. They did an excellent job caulking all joints needing touch-up, power washing, replacing bad wood pieces, priming, and painting. They do an excellent job ensuring that they paint only the things that you want painting, avoiding overs-pray, and protecting the plants around your house. His painters are very skilled and have worked with him for many years. His company doesn't spend a lot of money on fancy advertising and exotic proposals, so you get the most value for your money just doing the job that you want done. I would gladly recommend Steve Tickner to anyone.

I was very pleased. On the final walkthrough, there was one minor item that had been overlooked and Steve took care of it immediately.

I am very pleased with the job. The crew was very professional and courteous and cleaned up every afternoon at quitting time, leaving my premises tidy. I am very satisfied with the work done and within the time frame quoted (4 days). The siding and painting makes my home look almost new again. Mr. Tickner is very professional and was very helpful in suggesting what needed to be done and options for getting the job done most efficiently and effectively. I will definitely call him again. His estimate was very reasonable compared to others I received and the work done was quality work.

I had a few issues that needed to be fixed on the house. Squirrels had chewed through to the attic under the soffits, the chimney trim had rotted away and some wood trim on my box windows needed to be replaced. Steve came out and gave me an estimate. The wood was replaced with hardy board. He gave me an approximate start date. The weather needed to cooperate and they were finishing another job. They did great work at a fair price. I regret not posting a review sooner but I misplaced my receipt with the totals and dates.

Never started.. never called back .. pretty hard to believe in this economy I would call back and give an estimate to every customer..

I requested an estimate to paint the entire interior of my home including trim, closets, cabinets, etc. that would require oil based semi-gloss paint. Steve was prompt in setting up an appointment for the estimate. He had some good suggestions re: how the work should be done. When he left, he said he would drop off a written estimate that day or the next. I waited a week without receiving the estimate. When I called him about it, he said that he'd drop it by that day or the next, but I never received any estimate. If he was not interested in doing the job or was too busy, it would have been nice for him to just tell me. I wasted a week in making a decision on the contractor to do the job.

I called Steve and arranged an appt. He was prompt and produced a proposal within 20 minutes. I agreed to the proposal and we set a tentative date dependent on weather. The workers showed up on time and were able to accomplish the work in 2 days. Very pleased.

Excellent work and very clean.

Steve came out and met with us within a couple days of calling him. It took perhaps 8 - 10 days to get a bid. Steve's bid was more than $1000 less than the next higher bidder. Once we committed, work started within a few days and took two days to finish. The quality of work was fantastic. All bad wood and trim was replaced with synthetic material that will not rot. The patchwork on the garage ceiling and wall blends perfectly. They checked flashing and caulked carefully to ensure good seals. The painting itself was meticulous and looks great. Steve's crew cleaned up very well. They worked around a lot of landscaping close to the house, with very minimal damage to a shrub or two. An old garden hose was accidentally cut somehow. They made sure to leave me leftover paint.

They did great work. They spent several days doing the prep work so the work should hold up. The entire crew was fluent English speakers.

Steve Tickner came over in Mar. 08 to gave me an estimate on touching up the walls and ceilings inside my garage and redoing all my window sills. I was impressed and checked his references which were good, but I was unable to have the worked done at the time. When I was ready to have the work done this month, I had him come over and update his estimate because I had decided to have my doors redone. Before I committed to having the work done by him, I called telling him I had decided to use oil based paint on the doors and window sills and knew using oil based paint would be more expensive so I asked him to refigure his estimate. He said he would and would call me back. I never heard from him. I did not join Angie's list until after all this happened--I had no idea I would find him on it.

They did a good job. They did showed up on time. I would not use them again though. They did take a day longer then they had estimated, but did not charge me anymore then estimated.

They are absolutely wonderful and reasonable priced. I think they are a little on the high end with the price, but he is very thorough and you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend him to other people because the quality of the work is well worth the price. He is dependable and professional as well.

They are very professional and did exactly what I asked for. I had to leave the company in my empty house alone and to do the work, and they were finished in 5 days. We had to change the color in one room because it didn't look right, and they worked me. They also repaired cracks and holes in the walls. The price included material and labor.
