Dura Pier Foundation Repair

I haven't heard from them yet. I paid in advance.

The rep was very punctual and described to me how the device he used measured the height of the foundation from room to room. He found a small foundation problem in the living room. If I decide to have it done, I will definitely call Dura Pier.

He did great. But I have no idea what I paid someone to come out and basically give me a bid for foundation repair? I could have done that on my own. This is a ploy to get potential customers to pay for something they could get for free from many other companies.

Great! I always appreciate when a service provider is ok saying "you really don't need anything done" vs trying to force a sale for unnecessary work. We really appreciated the level of service and the honesty throughout the whole process. If we ever do need work in the future, we'll call again!

The Dura Pier crew did a great job. The foreman communicated very well, the crew was careful with the plants that had to be removed. They were also very neat in putting down plywood on the lawn for the dirt that was excavated. The clean up afterward was great. The crew and supervision was professional and well mannered.

The estimate was free. He explained why the price was the price. He had some materials with research, so I could give my feedback as to if I thought the estimate was fair. He was real thorough. I thought the gentleman who came out did a really good job. But, all foundation companies focus on the "other company is going to tell you this". They should focus more on what they're saying and what they're offering me. They were expensive, but it was competitive. He was professional and well spoken. I understood everything he was trying to say to me. He was on-time. I still haven't decided who I'm going to use.

It went very well. The owner Carter Davis explained everything to me in a way I could understand and didn't try to fix what didn't need repair. After the job was over I thought I had a leak. He offered to pay to have a leak detection team come in. (No leak was found). I would use them again.

Most detailed of estimates; prompt response to questions; estimate of 3 days stretched to 4.5 due to rain. Excellent clean-up and restoration of flower beds.

Met with Carter Davis to determine scope of work and estimate. After he took his measurements he sat down with my wife and I and discussed his plan of action to correct the current foundation issue. He then explained what to expect during the repair, talked about Dura Piers process, price, what was included in the price, what to expect from the crew, reviewed the warranty, provided a list of questions to ask any foundation repair company and allowed us to ask our questions. He came off as very knowledgeable and experienced. His answers were direct and to the point and easy to understand. No dancing around with answers (did not get this from all bidders). Most important thing he pointed out was the warranty. Dura Pier's is a Lifetime Transferable Warranty on the structure (not any owner). Any adjustments required is at no costs. This was not the case with the other highly rated companies that bid the job. Read the fine print on warranties. Awarded job to Dura Pier and set the appointment. Crew showed up on time, but due to a last minute rescheduling for another job two crews showed up. When the trucks pulled up the crew foreman introduced himself and reviewed the scope of work agreed. Within minutes the entire crew was working. I also met and spoke with the crew foreman from the second crew and shortly after that the supervisor of both foremen showed up and I spoke with him. All appeared very knowledgeable about their jobs and the scope of work on my home. After that, lots of digging and lots of dirt. Landscaping, sprinklers and shrubs were removed and carefully set aside. Plywood was laid on the lawn and driveway for protection. Piers were sunk, house was raised, static test was done on the sewer line (no leaks). During the entire process the foreman explained what was happening. When finished they began replacing the dirt, landscaping, sprinklers and shrubs. The cleanup was exceptional. You could not tell what took place that day. Because there were two crews the job was finished in one day (8:30 - 4:00) instead of the two days scheduled. Before leaving they made absolutely sure I was 100% happy with the cleanup. This included testing the sprinkler system. You can probably fine someone to do the work cheaper, but I doubt if you can find someone to do it better. I would use this company again and would recommend this company to anyone requiring foundation repair. At the very least they should be one of the companies on your bid list.

Arrived on time, did not push his service, and provided a very reasonable estimate. ctually the highest of the 3 I got, but still VERY reasonable!

We are pleased. All the cracks in the sheet rock and floor tile closed up and now we can't even tell where they were. Also the half bath door doesn't automatically swing shut now. After talking to a friend who was an engineer for a major pipeline company and learning how his company installed compressor stations in south Louisiana, I felt the Dura Pier system is the best engineered and I found that their crew is experienced and skillful and their onsite supervisor was pleasant and willing to answer questions. I feel it was well worth the money.

Dura-Pier's excellent website first got my attention and Carter Davis made a quick initial assessment. Later, when installation was necessary the crew was courteous, fast, neat and well supervised. Highly recommend.

We had an issue with them. We actually tried to cancel our deposit and they wound up keeping it saying they had to pay an appraiser or someone so they didn't give us our deposit back. It wasn't good. I had tried to call them and call them and call them and nobody would return my call. By the time they returned my call, they said it was too late to cancel and they had already hired someone to do the appraisal. I called them a million times and nobody would ever call me back. The staff was not helpful. They kept telling me that somebody would call me back. Their price was comparable to everybody else, it was fair. We lost over $250 and we didn't really ever use them.

I was not able to meet the Dura Pier inspector, but my wife liked him. He suggested preventive steps we could take to protect our foundation so that we would not need future repairs.

I called the provider to come out to my house. They gave me a bid, but do to some personal issues I decided I needed to wait to spend the money. I called them back a few months later to come out a look to make sure that the original quote and estimate was still correct. I spoke to the sales person Carter Davis, he said for me to call the office to setup a time they handled his schedule. I called the office and they told me they would have to speak with the sales person and get back with me. Over a month went by and nothing. I called the office again the lady that answered said she would pass it on and have someone call me right back. Again nothing. I called Carter back this is now 3 months later and he tells me they will take care of it right away. He will make sure the office calls me back. They do but again say they will have to get back with me. Well is has been several months now and still they have not followed up. At this point I wouldn't let them get near my house. If this how they treat a customer before they do the work I cant imagine how bad they are after!

We first called this company after realizing that our underground plumbing needed to be replaced because we had previously used them to adjust piers and put in a few new ones. We had only used them originally because of the transferable warranty on work they had done for the previous owner of the home. After they had completed extensive work, which included tunneling under the foundation from multiple points around the house to repair and reroute pipes, everything seemed fine. About two months later, on Christmas Eve nonetheless, we had raw sewage coming up through the drains in our home as well as bubbling up in the backyard. We called the company repeatedly throughout the week hoping for any kind of response, and even talked to a secretary that ensured us she would give the supervisor the message. We did not get a call until December 27th and work did not begin to repair the unbelievable mistakes they had made until after the new year. Our house was unlivable from Christmas until after the new year. It turns out that they had connected two sewage pipes to an old clean out that was no longer attached to the main sewer line. Raw sewage had been collecting in this clean out for two months bringing in ungodly smells, bugs, and sickness. There was never any kind of apology for their epic mistake. The kicker was that as they were working with such "precision" to fix their mistakes, the workers were smoking weed under the house every day.mWe could smell it coming up through the windows and the pipes in the house. After calling to complain, the secretary said "Oh yeah, we haven't drug tested them in a while". No apology again. And the smoking continued until the job was done. I am done with this company and would never wish upon anyone the burden and unprofessionalism we had to deal with through our process.

Everything went well - punctual, courteous and knowledgable

The quote was not the cheapest, but they were in between a Cadillac plan and a low cost plan. They were very professional and worked through several storms to get the job done. We lost one bush which they had to remove, but other than that, we had excellent service. They also installed root barriers and this was done expediently and with great regard to our landscaping. We did find that they had just bought the business from a family member a couple of years ago. Apparently the man who bought the company had worked there for many years. Very satisfied

They arrived around 8:45 on the first day. They removed some of the plants in front and on the side of the house. The first day that did all of the digging. Second day they installed the piers and put all of the plants and scrubs back in place. I did lost 2 rose bushes as a result. I would defintely use this company again.
