Creative Nightscapes Outdoor Lighting

Creative Nightscapes came out and reviewed what we wanted, offered their professional suggestions on design and provided a solid bid within 12 hrs. After sorting through a couple of other bids (which were more costly per light and did not provide the highlighting to our home that Creative did), we decided to use Creative Nightscapes. Patrick called that afternoon and told us that they had an opening the next day in the schedule so we were able to have the job completed in a very fast fashion. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the design. Additionally, every one at Creative that we have interfaced with have been outstanding professionals and extremely customer oriented. I highly recommend this company.

Put in new outdoor lighting. It went fine, a little trouble scheduling and they had to come back several times, but I was very happy with the overall result.

Jerry Holdbrook came in and really listened to what we wanted done. He gave us two estimates (line item) - and at the end of the day, we chose the more expensive estimate as it met all of our needs (also, we made some changes between the first and second visit - we wanted more exterior lighting in dark areas of our backyard.) There was a scheduling mix up the first time (they arrived 1 week early - and we were not available) - but, they were able to reschedule and installed the lighting on Christmas Eve of 2013. The house and lighting look great. We have accent lighting in the trees in front and back, and motion detectors (incredibly important for safety) on the sides of the house. For some reason, about a week afterwards, a light was not working. They came out quickly to repair the issue and we have not had a problem since. We are VERY happy with the work done and will use them again.

I had major yard lighting 20 plus years ago. At the time it was state of the art but the lights were large and heavy with a transformer for each light. The heavy equipment damaged my trees, the bulbs had to replace often and it used a great deal of electricity. I took the system out several years ago and decided I would not have outside lighting again. My landscaper totally redid my yard earlier this year and suggested I contact Patrick Cheatham and Creative Nightscapes to "complete the look". Patrick came out and discussed with me several approaches and the equipment to be installed, made a completed review and promptly submitted a lighting design with proposal along with estimated operating cost of the system. After my approval he scheduled with me the time for installation. The crew was well trained. In one day they installed over 40 lights. Much of my landscaping was new, when they finished my landscaping was perfect, you could not tell their sizable crew had been there except at night when the house and yard were just beautiful and alive. My trees are beautiful and are not harmed in any way. Patrick was at the house that first night for a full inspection to assure that everything was as planned. I have not had any problems, the property is beautiful at night (plus its a beautiful additional security system) and I cannot find any measurable change in my electric bill (we run the lights from dusk to dawn). I highly recommend Patrick and Creative Nightscapes. he is a joy to do business with, not always easy to find in today world.

I dealt with Jerry Holbrook from Creative Nightscapes. He came to my house on 10/31, when I told him that I would like to upgrade my existing landscape lighting to LED. He also recommended some additional lighting to my patio which sounded good. I asked him for a quote for all of the services we discussed. He told me he would provide the quote the next day, 11/1. On 11/5 I had still not received the quote and emailed Jerry and then he eventually provided the quote. Upon review of the quote, I noticed that Jerry listed all of the items we discussed, but he did not include line by line details of what each item cost. There was simply a number at the bottom, which supposedly included an Angie's List discount of $150 and the total was $2249 for everything. I wrote Jerry an email asking him to provide the line item detail which supported his total of $2249. Jerry called me and over the phone it was very evident that Jerry did not want to give me this level of detail. I explained to him that I wanted to understand the cost of each item to decide if I wanted to do everything all at once or if I wanted to just do the LED upgrade and add the additional patio lights at a later date. He was extremely reluctant to give me this detail, and I questioned this because he must have this detail; otherwise how would he have come up with the total?? Jerry eventually gave me an invoice with line item details; however, when I double checked the math, it did not add up to the total he had quoted at the bottom of the invoice. I emailed him asking him for clarity as to how he came up with the number. He was unable to provide an explanation and instead told me that he would not be taking on my project. I was shocked that my asking for clarity on pricing caused Jerry to turn down my job...it appears to me that he made up a number he was not able to support, and I was not given a fair or true estimate for the work which we discussed. Stay away from this company! They will not provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision as a consumer since they will not give you any details of the costs of the services they provide!

Patrick Cheatham met with us and recommended a lighting plan for our property, including correcting some poor work that had been done in the past. His bid was very reasonable and his crew arrived on time and completed the work in one day. He came back after dark so we could review the lighting with him to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We couldn't be more pleased!

We had landscape lighting installed in1996, the trees had grown and the technology had changed and it was time to update; and update we did. Patrick and his crew were the best from beginning to the end, not the least expensive but we got what we paid for and are confident we will be enjoying our beautiful well lit landscaping for many years to come. They did a great job for us. They are very personable, on time, quick to respond to questions and concerns. The owner comes out and does the face to face with customers and is very personable, professional and customer focused. I highly recommend them.

I emailed a request for someone to contact me and Patrick responded immediately and promptly came out to look over our property and listen to what we were looking for and then said he would email me a design recommendation later that evening. Before leaving, he provided a packet of collateral that showed homes done and provided several references. As stated, Patrick provided a very clear estimate and design proposal. I had a few follow-up questions that were responded to quickly and then a date was scheduled for install. On the date of the install, Patrick and his team showed up on time in company trucks and uniforms. The install took all day and when finished the property was cleaned and you couldn't tell they were there, except for the beautiful lightIng that was left. From start to finish , Patrick's professionalism and knowledge was paramount. I had a couple of folks provide estimates, but once you meet Patrick, you will be sold on his professionalism and passion for his work. Would highly recommend Creative Nitescapes for any of your outdoor lighting needs.

Overall it went very well. The only hiccup was when I filled out the online form, they didn't call me. They were very apologetic when they realized they had "missed" it. Patrick came by and went over all his ideas. He was careful to listen to what I wanted out of the system and then devised a plan that would meet those needs. He obviously has a knack for knowing how things will look and you could tell he's very interested in the concept of landscape lighting. After a few days, the crew came out to install. Patrick introduced me to the foreman who was very friendly and knowledgeable. They worked out a good plan for placing the transformer by utilizing one of the garage plugs and just extending it through the wall. They worked quickly and were finished in a few hours. They did some light trimming to place the new lights but always asked first if it was okay. At the end, the transformer was placed very unobtrusively and the lights and effect were just as we had discussed. The light in the tree was/is especially nice; Patrick's vision turned out to be dead on.

Patrick was very prompt and responded quickly to our request for a quote. He was professional, knowledgeable, and had great suggestions regarding the design of our project. The installation was scheduled in a timely fashion and his crew did an outstanding job implementing the design we discussed in a professional, efficient, and cleanly fashion. When one minor problem regarding the wiring of the system was encountered, his crew was quick to find a reasonable solution. Patrick and his crew went out of their way to ensure all our expectations were exceeded. The lighting looks fantastic and really adds to the overall ambiance and security of our outdoor areas. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space. We can now enjoy our beautiful yard day and night!

Great! They were responsive, professional and did not disrupt any existing landscape during the installation. The lighting is placed correctly and provides the exact effect that we had hoped for. We would recommend them to family and friends with no hesitation.

The whole experience was good. Patrick is very passionate and excited about what he does. He had great ideas and suggested some things that I would never have thought of. I had received one other proposal that I was considering but I liked Patrick's approach. Cost was similar and both companies were highly recommended on Angie's List. Patrick's installation crew was great. I was there for the start of the project about 8:30 in the morning. They needed to tie into an inside electrical outlet which required them to drill from an inside wall through the brick. They did an excellent job - I can't tell they were ever there. One of my concerns was how they would run the wiring around the house and in the eaves and what type of damage might be done to my flower beds and siding. Except for the beautiful lighting that I had when I came home that night, I could not tell they had been there. There was not a footprint or bit of trash in the yard and no plants were disturbed. They had to run wire under a couple of sidewalks and there is no sign of disturbance. It wasn't until I was planting some things later that I found an underground wire. I highly recommend Patrick and his crew. It was a pleasure working with all of them and the result is beautiful.

We made a simple inquiry online at the company website. Within a few moments a response came back. The next week we met for an evaluation of our lighting needs. A time was set for the next week. The crew arrived on schedule and worked throughout the day until completion. The lighting tech (who we worked with on our evaluation) and crew chief returned at sunset that same evening to demonstrate the system, making sure we were comfortable with the operation of the system and answered any questions we had. A few days later we received our warranty in the mail.

I chose this company because of their professionalism and good customer service. The price was just about in the middle of the other four quotes I had obtained. Once I made the decision to purchase from them, they were able to schedule the installation within a couple of weeks, and the entire job only took the crew about four hours to complete. The crew acted quickly and when they were done, you could hardly tell where they had buried the electrical cords - all the landscaping was back in place and appeared undisturbed. The first night the front lights came on one hour after the back lights, but I soon found out it was because the clock had been set incorrectly on the timer. They came out and fixed it immediately. I do wish that they had provided some instructions regarding the use of the (very sophisticated) timer. I've got a user manual, but a short tutorial would have been helpful and could have saved them a visit. After installation, I realized I wanted one more light in the back and they were out within a week to install it. The lights look great and I have had positive comments from the neighbors. I would recommend Creative Nightscapes.

CN provided amazing customer service and guidance through the entire process. Even more impressive is the service after install. They have replaced bulbs with in days of calling at no cost.

My wife and I were very please with their work. Jerry Holbrook was easy to work with and very professional. Innitally, we had a few problems with our well lights drowning out during rains and at times from our sprinkler system. However, each time I called Jerry had someone out either that very same day or by the next. They eventually resolved that issue and at no cost to me. My wife and I were involved with many tradesmen during the construction of our dream home and with all that we dealt with during this process Jerry with Creative Nightscapes was the best.

We had a specific date that the installation needed to be completed by and Patrick took care of everything. He and his crew completed our project on time and within the budget we set. I would recommend Creative Nightscapes to anyone looking to add lighting to accent their home and landscape.

Before the job, Patrick had spent a good deal of time walking the area with me, taking notes on what I wanted, answering my questions and drawing up a plan. We agreed that I would pay upon completion of the job. On the day the work was done, Patrick brought Guillermo and his crew and made sure they knew where to place the fixtures. I told Patrick that I had to leave and might be gone when the work was completed. I was pleasantly surprised when he said I could mail in my payment. Most of the companies I've dealt with require payment on the spot, and it was nice to be trusted. In order to connect all of the fixtures to a single transformer, they actually ran wire under my driveway, which also required removal and replacement of some bricks. This work was done so flawlessly that nothing appeared to have been disturbed. They also had to do some hedge trimming in order to place lights behind and below the hedge, and they did that expertly. After the work was completed, Guillermo explained everything in detail and showed me exactly where the lines are buried.They set the timer for the lighting hours I requested, and with their service plan, I'll never have to reset the timer or even change a buib. They do all of that. The next day, I had trouble with my phone lines, so I contacted Creative Nightscapes about whether the problem might have been caused by their work. Frances, who took my call, said that if their work turned out to have caused the problem, I could deduct the cost of repair from my payment. I don't believe I've ever hired a company I was more impressed with than Creative Nightscapes. They did excellent work and treated me like family.
