About us

I started Dallas TV Installers while I was managing for a major electronics chain. I realized that there was a market for skilled and talented installers that are not ridiculously over priced. I would never pay the prices that the big box stores charge, and neither should you. We charge by the job, not by the hour. We do not get paid till you are satisfied with our work. All installs come with a one year warranty for cables and hardware (excludes accidental damage of course). We have three skilled installers with a combined 14 years experience in electronics. We are all clean cut, personable, and presentable. We are not afraid of long days and hard work. We clean up after ourselves when we are done. There will not be a finger print or speck of dust on or around anything we install. We serve the entire Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex Area and Surrounding Areas without a trip charge. We do both residential and commercial work. A good amount of our work comes from referrals, and that is exactly what we strive for on every job. TV Mounted With All Wires In Wall From $100. Projector & Screen Installed From $200. 7.1 Surround Sound Installed From $250. Tilt Mount For up to 63" TVs $55. Swivel Mount For up to 60" TVs $125. Projector Mounts From $40.

Jimmy arrived on time, and did a great job. It was only the second Frame TV they've installed, so they took their time to make sure it was done correctly. Jimmy did a great job wiring and mounting the old TV in the bedroom. He had to cut a couple of holes into the drywall to accommodate the hidden wires, and he made sure that nothing showed, and that the floor was cleaned up when he finished. I am very satisfied with the work that was done, and the price I paid.

Andrew and Alex were prompt, friendly and efficient. I got same day service, and excellent service at a great price. They were on time, had great recommendations about placement of the television, and within two hours, my flat screen was hung, with no wires showing.

Andrew and Dallas TV installers did an excellent job in hanging our tv. He came out promptly, within a couple days of our phone call. He offered his advise on location for the tv, and the type of mount that he would recommend. When the mount that we purchased didn't work out, Andrew provided his own mount to make sure we would be satisfied. When the tv was initially hung, we had a problem with the mount not supporting the weight of the tv. Andrew was very responsive in coming out and addressing this problem. I plan on using Andrew again for our home theater needs, and would recommend to anyone in need of his services.

perfect. I can't add anything because it was such a great job. You should hire this guy.
Description of Work: He installed many inwall speakers and ran wire for me. He showed up when he said he would, did a amazing job. I would absolutely hire him in the future, and I will be doing that when I am going to mount my tv's on the wall. I can do it myself but his work is so exacting it looks better than I can do it. I don't know how he can have any bad reviews. I am quite surprised. I have used a lot of contractors and Andrew is outstanding.

I contacted Dallas TV installers through their website, via email to set up an appointment time and they responded immediately thorugh his blackberry phone. He came to my home exactly on time and did all aspects of the TV install by himself, he even moved the furniture, ran to Walmart to pick up an HDMI calbe for me, and cleaned up. He installed my 40 inch flat TV on the wall with all the cords hidden in the wall. It looks amazing. He explained to me how the wall mount was attached and how it is "locked" so it can't come off. He set up my furniture with the cable box and DVD player and showed me how it all works. He was there less than 2 hours but that includes the time he went to buy the extra cable. I would say it would take less than an hour to do otherwise. He was extremely friendly and professional. I am referring everyone I know to them! Oh and he was less than HALF of what Best Buy was going to charge me! He's bonded, insured, and has tons of experienced doing tv installs.

I located the company on "Craigs List". I called and asked for a quote to mount my t.v. over the fireplace, mount a center channel speaker and four others, conceal all wires, set up home theater system that included reciever, dvd player, and program the universal remote. The speakers are Bose and the reciever and dvd are Harman Kardon. I was quoted $570.00. I agreed and the install date was set for Sat. 7/3, at 8 am. Two days before the installation the owner of the company called to ask if he could change the installation time to 6 am., because he just remembered that he agreed to BBQ for a friends party. I refused and suggested a new date all together so that the installation would not be rushed. The owner suggested two days to complete the services, Sat and Sun, if the installation did not end by 2pm on Sat. I also agreed. This company neveer provided a quote in writting or email. Sat 7/3, the owner called to say he would be late. The person coming along to set up the audio was having car trouble and needed a ride. When they arrived I asked for an invoice but the owner didn't have one. I insisted that I wanted something in writting so he sat on my couch and sent me an email from his cell phone, outlining general details of services, however, he did not include any prices. Ten minutes into the installation the owner left to go to Homedepot twice for parts, leaving his helper ("audio") to begin the mounting process. The room is only 16 x13 room, and 4 hours after they arrived the T.V was still not mounted, At one point I even provided them with with screws, anchors...Frustrated by the lack of preparedness, and no apparent plan of action. I agreed for them to put a hole in the ceiling and wall of my hall closet because they couldnt determine if and where the studs were in the wall that the wires should have been run through. By 1:30pm the audio guy asked for the stereo components. Reciever and DVD player where brand new in the box. The owner tells me that they need to get ready and go but will come back on Sun. I say to owner that I will put audio equipment together myself, however, I wanted an adjustment to the price. Upon hearing that the audio person begins to quickly try and put audio equipment together and connect tv, and cable. At 2:30pm, their packing up and I ask the owner what time on Sunday would he be returning, and he said that he's not coming back. The home theater is not setup, dvd not connected to reciever, and owner and audio person are basically guessing aload about how to get the surround sound to work. He begins pushing buttons randomally on the reciever, and remote controls. The items are expensive and brand new.I had the user manual in front of me and neither one of them even asked to see them. The were treating my electronics like they were some basic run of the mill audio equipment. Finally, the T.V. comes on and their is cable and sound. The owner begins writing out an invoice by hand for $620.00. I dispute the price based on the orginal quote over the phone and incomplete service. Mind you the theater system and DVD was never connected nor did they program the universal remote. The owner claims that I must have misunderstood, not only the price but the service that he agreed to provide. We go back and forth about the cost and it occurs to me that arguing with him was futile. This company has only been in business since February 2010. The pics online of various the installation look great, however, in person the flaws are obvious and the audio experience is severly lacking and disasterous at best. I requested a simply 5.1 theater system to be installed. When they left the center speaker was not mounted, jagged holes in closet wall and ceiling, DVD not connected, universal remote not progammed, and they even asked for a dust pan and brush so that they could clean up their mess. I was smarth enough to cover my glass coffee table, however, it took a couple of hours to get all the dust off of my floors. I should have followed my first mind to demand an invoice before the work began, however, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I heard more excuses about the lack of prepardness and the need to fullfill personal obligations than any stranger should have to endure. I wish there were a way to upload the photos of what I paid $620., for. And although I was far from happy I paid because I am a person of my word and I really felt sorry for this company, that believed that they had provided such prestine service. I also should have never alowed work to begin without a detailed and itemized invoice in hand. That was definatley my fault. It is also worth it for me to help the next customer understand what they may be getting into with such a young, unprofessional and inexperienced company. As I explained to the owner this is not personal its business.Unfortunatley, in good conscious I would never recommend them to anyone.

Response from Dallas TV Installers
I was not even going to post a response to this because it is so over the top. I have lost business because of this so I feel the need to defend myself. I am a nice, funny, happy go lucky sort of guy. I give people great value for their money and get a lot of referrals because of it. I would not even be listed on Angie's List if I was one of “those guys”. I have worked in some form of customer service since I was old enough to work. The member, by far, was the most outrageous customer I have ever worked with. She didn't remember who I was when I called her back the same day I had originally spoke to her only 15 minutes earlier. I agreed to a price for a specific scope of work and explained that this was only a general estimate. That there was no way for me know exactly what cables I would need and so forth until I got to her home. When I got to her home, she demanded something in writing. So I sat down and listed all work that we had discussed over the phone and that morning in an email with the total price. She had a print out of my prices from my ad on craigslist with all prices listed on it so I figured that we were good to go. She looked it over and agreed. She had originally agreed on the phone that we can show up at 8:00 am on Saturday the 3rd of July. I called and asked if we can come an hour earlier at 7:00 and she said she isn't getting up that early on a Saturday, that we have to be there at 9:00. I told her that I will have to be leave by 2:00 in order to make it to my brother in-law's party on time to cook. She said, “I understand that people have family,” with an odd tone in her voice. That comment sounded very strange to me but she said we can come and do two days over a holiday weekend because she wanted it done asap. I did give her the option to rebook or simply let us come earlier. She denied both options. Once we got started, she started adding more and more to our work load. She insisted that we were supposed to program her harmony one remote, although we never discussed it. She had already added an electrical outlet so I had to go get supplies because she never mentioned needing an outlet either. Her wall above the fireplace was drywall over plywood with no studs so I had to purchase toggle anchors so the TV could be securely mounted. That is why I had to go to home depot twice. She hovered over us and obsessed over every speck of dust. I explained that this happens when you do any type of drywall work. She even went on to say in her report that it took her 2 hours to dust. Who takes 2 hours to dust a clean room. She didn't want me cutting and patching drywall for a firebreak stud. If she wasn't distracting us from working, she was talking to her cat and responding like her cat was talking back. She kept telling us how expensive all her equipment was over and over. It was a strange situation. She didn't have a single photo in here entire home anywhere. The house was the cleanest place I have ever been in, and I was in the Military. She was freaking out over a glass coffee table that was not even near where we were working. I am a clean person and people comment on how neat I am all the time, even calling me OCD. So for me to say she was OCD, I really mean it. Moving forward, we got even more work done that day than we had even planned for and were at about 90% completion at 2:00. I was going to come back the morning of the 4th like we had agreed to and do the final programming which would take one to two hours. She insisted that I lower the price by a substantial amount at that point after the hard work was done. She insisted that if we don't finish then, that we should lower the price. So we staid and finished. She was obliviously upset that I was not willing to renegotiate at the end of an install. I remained calm, cleaned up very well while my assistant, who we call The Brain, programmed the receiver. She was frantically looking through the manual while he was working. Then she was asking him how he could program a $700 receiver without a manual. She never even let go of it for him to see it. He still programmed, hooked up, and tested everything. She was already all huffy and puffy over us staying and finishing so I did not program the remote because she was already at her boiling point and spending limit. After all was done and cleaned up, she still had the nerve to ask what time I was coming in the next morning. I told her that we done with everything and that there was no need to come back. I gave her the bill with the work that we agreed to and the extra parts and labor she had added at which point, she wigged out. She thought I was going to install an outlet and a include a 35' hdmi for free, although I had explained the cost and she had a print out of my prices. Even my website has all prices listed in plane sight so there can be no confusion. She started to have what looked like a panic attack to me. I tried to calm her down. She was rambling about how she was going to pay me even though I was overcharging, although I was not. I asked what I could do to make her happy, if she would take a discount for the misunderstanding. She Refused. I even offered to still come back the next day and program the Logitech remote control for free. I apologized although I still feel I did nothing wrong. At one point, while she was crying, she was talking about how great our work was, and acted like she wanted a hug. I honestly feel she was off her meds. She kept talking about it being business, not personal, as she continued to cry. I explained that I do take my business very personal. The moral of the story is that some people will never be happy. Even when you charge them less than a third of the cost of Best Buy or bend over backwards for them on a holiday weekend. I honestly feel bad for her and hope that she gets better. I have done more installs than I can count, and this was the worst experience I ever had. My reputation matters very much to me. I promise that if you choose me for your install, you will rate me with an A PLUS grade, just like my other customers did. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you.
