Called Baker Brothers this morning first thing. They said they could do the next morning or this afternoon. I said that this afternoon worked. About 30 minutes later, they called and said that they had an opening this morning and could be out there between 30-45 minutes and asked if that would work. I said it did and headed to the house from work. When I got to the house, Baker Brothers was there. Brian came to the door and put on the footies to protect the floor and came in. I explained to him that I thought it was the valve as it only leaked when the water was on. He took all the hardware off and looked for a leak in the valve. He saw no leak and then thought maybe the seal on the water spout was bad and was backing up causing the leak. He that seemed to be the cause, but without opening up the wall in the closet behind the shower he wouldn't know for sure. He recommended that. I agreed and he proceeded to cut a hole to see where it was leaking. Fortunately, we did this and found that it neither the valve nor the water spout, but the overflow drain was leaking. Once it was identified, the repair was very fast. After repair, tested the water and all was well. Brian was very friendly and professional. Every detail was explained. Will definitely use Baker Brothers again in the future. My only regret was I forgot to bring the coupon from work when I left and forgot to reprint when I got home. My mistake. Even so, I was very pleased with every aspect of the service.

We have an older home, and they cleaned out the pipes, saving us a ton of money! We haven't had a problem since! They were professional, and through. We are totally pleased with their work, and we will use them again!

They are here on time. All their employees are knowledgeable and nice. They are very clean and lay tarps down to make sure they don't leave a mess. I would recommend them.

They are awesome. They are prompt and friendly. They are very honest with their pricing. They will come out and give you a quote before they charge you.

It went really well. We hadn't used them before but we would use them again.

I had called about a toilett leaking that I had them work on last April. I had mentioned that to the dispatcher.The technician arrived about 2 hours later. When he arrived he said that it was under warranty and that he would fix it at no charge. He did an excellent job. I also had him replace an outside faucet that had been leaking. He explanined what would need to be done and quoted a price. He ran into some difficulty and it took longer that was expected, but the quoted price was honored without even a question. He sis an excellent job.

They were on time and very professional. The workers that came out gave me an estimate, explained the work that needed to be done and why it needed to be done that way. Once they had completed the work, they took pictures of the work done underneath the house so I could see what they had done. They also took the coupon from Angies list even though at the time I could not print it off. I will only use Baker Brothers for pluming issues.

I am very happy with Baker Brothers! This was the first time I had used them but it won't be the last. Everything went great: * Got a quote quickly and easily over the phone, which turned out to be right on except for the fact that I needed a bigger gas supply line for the size of the unit. A pet peeve of mine is when service providers refuse to quote a price over the phone because "every job is different". That wasn't an issue here. * Scheduling was very easy - they were willing to come the day I first called but that didn't work for us. We agreed on the next day "after 2 PM". They showed up at 3:50 and were done by 5:50. I was called 30-45 minutes ahead of time, which meant we didn't have to wait around the house for them to show up. * Before the technician, John, started he called to go over the job with me. Everything was straight forward except he did notice the gas supply line was too small and would need to be replaced. That was a $100 increase in the cost of the job, but between code compliance and unit performance requirements this is where you have to trust the expert. Of course, I'm much happier to hear this up front and not at the end. * John and his assistant were professional, courteous and quick - very happy with their work. * The only slight snafu occurred at checkout. My wife forgot to hand John the Angie's List coupon (10%/$50) before he ran the credit card. I guess the credit card machine they have on the job site can't reverse a charge, so we weren't able to use the coupon at checkout and were told to call the office. I was expecting some push back about "presenting the coupon at the time of service" but I got nothing of the sort. Tamara, at the Baker Brothers office, was very helpful in working with me to get a copy of the coupon over email and put a credit back on my card. If the test of how good a company's service really is comes when you have an issue (however minor the issue), then Baker Brothers passed this one with flying colors. As a point of reference, I did get a quote from another plumber that I've used in the past and Baker Brothers was about $300 cheaper, with most of the difference coming from the charges associated with the ventilation required to meet code.

Really well. I scheduled the service on a Saturday and the plumbers came on a holiday Monday. They got the work done quickly after leaving to get parts. The price seemed reasonable with the Angie's List discount. The men were friendly and did a good job explaining things. They wore booties inside the house and totally cleaned up afterward.

My waterheater went out on a Saturday evening of course so I needed to find a company that would replace it on a Sunday. Baker Brothers were very helpful when I called and got all the details regarding my issue and gave me a quote over the phone. The repairman was very professional and friendly and did a great job. He cleaned up afterwards and other than having hot water again.....you couldn't even tell he had been there! They quoted me a very reasonable price for the waterheater and installation. There was an upcharge for Sunday services of course, and there were also several code issues that needed to be resolved which increased the price. They had warned me about that when I first called, so I wasn't surprised when the repairman showed me what needed to be done. The final price was right in line with what was quoted, and I got a $50 coupon from Angie's List to use! I would definitely use Baker Brothers again!

I declined. I am bewildered that a company that expects to compete for business would charge me money to try and earn my business - several thousands of dollars worth of business. Not in my lifetime.

I checked Angie's List first for the highest rated plumbing service and Baker Brothers came out on top. I called and a very nice lady took my information and arranged an appointment for the next day. They called to tell me he would be here earlier than the appointment was scheduled and he arrived in 20 minutes. The work was done quickly and the service tech very nice.

I bought a duplex that was built in 1941 in North Oak Cliff in October and the previous owner did not disclose that the property had multiple gas leaks. I called Baker Brothers to come and do a pressure test to find out what needed to be fixed and get a quote. Baker Brother sent two plumbers to my house who were friendly and seemed to know what they were talking about. After they completed the pressure test on one side of my duplex and inspected the place they quoted me a price of around seven to eight thousand dollars for just one side of my duplex, with the possibility of it being in the $20,000 range if the other side was just as bad. With that I would need to move my water heater or replace it with an electrical one and lose gas to my gas fireplace because they said the City of Dallas would not pass it during an inspection; pretty much that the house was not up to code. Most of the expenses in the quote was getting just one side up to code. I ended up going with another company that was half the price, mostly because they worked with the city to grandfather in my duplex to older codes. All in all I believe the Baker Brothers plumbers knew what they were talking about they were just more expensive.

Our experiences with Baker Brothers are always very good. They are punctual, professional and they do the work that is requested. They take time to explain what is being done and to provide alternatives if there are any. They are not, probably, the least expensive plumber, but I will pay the price for their quality of work.

They did a very good job. The technicians introduced themselves upon arrival and I explained the kitchen hardware issues and the areas for the stress test. Once the analysis was completed, he clearly explained how and what he would be doing. They took care to cover areas they would be working as not to leave debris on the carpet/floors. After the work was completed, they reviewed and verifed all was working. I was very pleased.

We called and explained our problem to the person answering the phone. They scheduled a visit and the workers showed up on time. However, they appeared to not know anything about our problem so we went over everything with them again. There were 2 guys, one was clearly in charge. The man in charge was rude, insulting, and cut me off several times while trying to explain the situation. My husband got home 5 minutes after they got here and without me even telling him how rude they were to me, he came up with the same opinion. After going through the house and not finding anything, they went outside and found a potential problem with our sprinkler system. However, he wouldn't test the area for a leak because we have an old cut-off valve (we have a 36 year old house). He said we'd have to replace the valve before he'd do the test and that would cost $700. We still don't know if we have a leak but we sent him on his way. We may very well need a new valve and there may or may not be a leak in our sprinkler system. But we will use someone with more professionalism and better prices to do the job -- and any job we have in the future.

We told them absolutely NOT! I know it is Christmas eve, but I bet the clerks at Target and Walmart are not getting $500 extra because it is Christmas Eve. Poor guys!

They were very professional, thorough and clean. The appearance of the whole thing was good. My wife was very impressed with them. The price wasn’t that good. I would use them again if I could save up enough money.

Randy quickly found the problem with a newly installed sink in the bathroom. The old drain pipe had a clog that wasn't found by the installer and it couldn't easily be removed without disassembling the entire drainpipe. He also stabilized the wobbly toilet without having to replace the flange and gasket. This saved me a lot of money and I'm very pleased about that. Randy took the time to ensure that he worked in a safe and sanitary manner. Everything stayed in a contained area and I never had a mess to clean up afterwards. I am very happy with the outcome.

Excellent outcome on a very stressfull situation. Water pressure became extremely low, discovered water break at city connection, water literally pouring down the street. After getting water turned off by city around 9:30pm, had to find a plumber fast. Thought it would be impossible to get somebody that late on a Friday evening, would have to go without water until Monday. Thanks to Baker Bros extended office hours, till 11:30pm, was able to get next day appointment. Mark from Baker Bros arrived promptly at 9am on Saturday & we had our water back on within a couple of hours. Prompt, professional & able to use $50 Angie's List coupon brought nothing but smiles to our faces!

This was way way too high.. I will use Angie's list to find someone else that performs good work for a reasonable price. Don't use these guys!

I woke up in the middle of the night with a plumbing leak above my master bath ceiling. After calling Baker Brothers the next morning, they were able to send someone out to my house at 10:30am. The plumber was on time and honest with me as to what the issue was and it was actually a result of the plumbing in the condo above me. He even came with me to talk to my neighbor upstairs about the issue. He was courteous, prompt and honest.

Went great. On time, reasonable estimate that was accurate, quick work, neat workers who didn't leave a mess.

Called to come fix simple valve change inside toilet. Quoted over $300 for 15 minute job. I will use somebody else. Also wanted to charge me service charge for walking in office and giving quote.

I found the tub leaking following its use by a guest over Thanksgiving. When I could not get the water to stop dripping, I began to consider hiring a plumber. This is what prompted my signing up with Angies List. After reviewing the reports for local plumbers, as well as the prices that were reported, we decided to bite the bullet and go ahead, expecting to pay up to several hundred dollars. An appointment was made for "after 2:00 pm." I marked N/A for punctuality, since there was such a wide window left open, though the man did come during that time slot. He was very professional, and after looking at the situation, said it would cost $180.91 for the repair. After I signed the authorization he proceeded to make the repair, which took no more than 10-15 minutes. I guess he was here 25 to 30 minutes total -- from his arrival to his departure. Though I still feel the price was way too high for the time spent, I suppose it was within reason considering other reports that I had read. I was able to get a 10% discount with the Angies List coupon.
