Jimmy and his helper were good listeners and ensured they understood the correct context of the situation and job site rather than just "diving in" and starting the job. Also, they made certain the new outlet was working correctly with a live television before leaving the job site. Everything worked fine once the homeowner identified the cable company protocol that was needed with the new line in terms of connecting and disconnecting certain supplemental equipment (e.g., digital to analog converter box). This was a homeowner knowledge matter. Job site left clean. Would definitely consider using this service provider again.
Description of Work: Installed new cable wiring and cable outlet in a downstairs room for cable television setup. The job involved a new cable line from the attic to the 1st floor of a 2-story home.

+ -1 moreJmmy was very professional and did a great job. We were without heat and did not know what to do. Angie's List saved the day. We were so afraid it was going to be an expensive job. When he found the loose connection and tightened it and then the furnace worked, we were so happy!
Description of Work: Our furnace was not working, we were told we needed an electrician to find out the problem. Did research on Angie's List. Contacted Jimmy with B & H Electric Co. He came out the next morning, checked out everything, found and fixed the problem, it was a loose wire in the breaker box.

+ -1 moreJimmy and his crew did such an excellent job. He quoted a price and had to replace ALL electrical wiring in a 2.100 Square Ft. Log Cabin in which some spaces where a challenge .Thieves had pulled every piece of copper wiring from everything they could possible take. We were so upset on this find but Jimmy assured us it would all be alright .They completed the job with no hidden expenses .They left the area's clean . We would HIGHLY recommend this company as from little jobs to masssive jobs .Jimmy has also offered to do any other jobs we would need done in the future .
Description of Work: Company had to replace all the copper wiring in our Log cabin.Fix anything that was damaged .Thieves had left it such a mess after pulling the copper wiring from everything and was a real mess and thought it could not be done.But B and H proved it could be .

My husband and I are pleased to know that we now have an electrical company we can count on to handle any and all electrical work in our home. I definitely will call them out again to do more work in the future.

+ -1 moreMr. Russel first responded to my inquiry by email in a very timely manner and answered my question as thoroughly as he could sight unseen. On the scheduled day of repairs, he and his crew arrived promptly as scheduled that morning. They were very courteous throughout the day, even answering my questions as they worked. Further more, I had asked them to be done by 5pm as it was my sons' birthday parties that evening and we needed to leave the house...Mr. Russell and his crew were finished by 2:00 pm ! They cleaned all work areas before packing up as well. As for price, I had been quoted by "chain" electrical companies, upwards of 4,000 to 6,000 for this job and Mr. Russell did it all for about $1,000 and allowed us to buy our own materials AND even honored my Angie's List coupon !! Everything has worked fine, we are even using the new outlets in the kitchen. I would not hesitate to call them again for all our electrical needs and will be happy to recommend them to others !!!!!
Description of Work: We had an entire breaker panel rewired as well as the main breaker switch replaced to update and also had him rewire some outlets in the kitchen for a remodel.

They did cut into a phone line, but they told us about it immediately, and we were able to get it fixed pretty quickly by the phone company. It really was the phone company’s fault because the wiring was in a place where it should not have been. So, the phone company had to move the line. Actually, I am planning on using them again in the future.
Description of Work: B&H Electric Company did a lot of electrical work for us. They wired an out building; they put in a new electrical box for it. They installed a new electrical box for us for outdoor lighting and installed overhead lighting on the out building.

They arrived precisely when they said they would, did work above and beyond what we had discussed, cleaned up after themselves, and were overall excellent and great to work with.Very honest and straight forward. I actually just called again to have him do some additional work for us.

+ -1 moreThere were two of them, the electrician and I think maybe a helper or colleague. They worked as a team and did not have one standing around doing nothing while the other one worked. They both worked the whole time and were FAST and excellent. No 'false cuts' in the sheet rock and they managed to install one of the boxes for a light in such a way as to center the sconce and not interfere with the pipe.
Description of Work: I am remodeling a home that I am not yet occupying. I called B&H on a Wednesday and they made an appointment to be at the home at 8 a.m. on Friday. They were 5 minutes early (hurrah!). They installed a 'box' in a ceiling so that I could have an overhead light in that room, and installed a new switch on the wall. They asked if they could go ahead and put the fixture up for me, no charge, but I was not ready to hang the chandelier yet. Next, they removed the box for a three light wall sconce over an 81" bath vanity with double sinks, and installed two new ones centered over the two sinks. They also removed and relocated a GFI receptacle and put it in a better location. They also installed a receptacle for me in a large linen closet in that bathroom because I am going to put a Louvre on the bottom of the door and place a dehumidifier in that closet. All this work took LESS THAN TWO HOURS. Then they came and asked me for a garbage bag and vacuum to clean up the debris and dust. I was so grateful. At first, I was a little worried, because I called them from an ad in the phone book, but I am glad I did!
