I called them last Friday, a lady named Sherry answered the phone and said they were preparing to go into a meeting (are you so busy you cannot entertain new business?) but I would receive a phone call to schedule something once the meeting was over. Today is Tuesday and that must have been an extremely long meeting because I still have not been contacted! Finding people to go a good job is so much easier than finding people who have good customer service and follow up by doing what they say. If a business is not responsive in the beginning you can give up on them providing customer service throughout. I would think this is not Angie's List quality.

They came out when I had some weeds from my neighbor’s yard coming into my yard. I knew they were weeds because the good grasses were dormant at the time. They took care of them at no charge. They also advise of the best way to water and cut your grass. Overall, they are a great company to work with.

They have the most competitive pricing of anybody in my area. They come out to your home regularly, like on an eight week time frame. They give you a courtesy call the day before to let you know, to make sure you leave your pets inside and your gate on your fence unlocked and all that kind of stuff. I really think that's nice. We have water restrictions in our area and they'll work with you to try to coordinate it on your watering day.

Broad leaf weeds, as well as other varities of weeds did not die withn a few weeks after they sprayed them - had no effect. I even watched the service guy spray the weeds directly to ensure he hit all the weeds on the yard - no luck. What really troubles me is that when I used my own weed killer on the same weeds it was only a matter of a few days that the weeds had died. When I first went with this company I couldn't have been more pleased, however it seems that they either changed their chemicals or other factors have now come into play that have made their treatments less effective in my opinion

David is the rep in my area, we've only seen him once so far the day we enrolled/first service but he was amazing and knowledgeable. We've owned our home for 2 years, and other than basic lawn mowing we haven't done much for it, but once we got a dog we knew we had to take better care of our yard. 1) He gave us a watering schedule so we knew what we were supposed to be doing. He did let us know that if we didn't do our part (Watering and mowing) that their tried and true product can't get to work the way we need it to and our investment would be wasted. 2) Our dog is allergic to bluegrass, among other things, he did confirm we have it in our lawn currently and gave us an idea on how long it'd take for it to die out. 3) David gave us suggestions: We'd only done basic mowing, so we didn't have any sprinklers. He recommended what type of sprinklers would work best with our lawn, considering we didn't have the funds to invest in an in-ground sprinkler system. We were offered additional services in addition to the basic weed prevention, and we did take him up on it. The price of the Top Choice fire ant killer was half the price that Terminex wanted to charge me, and the grub prevention will actually allow my lawn to grow since we are missing large patches of grass. It's been 4 weeks since our original spray of weed killer, and ALL of the the clover in our yard is now dead. The dandelions and other weeds are still there, but again our expectations were set and we don't expect a majority of the weeds to die until at least 2 sessions. Note: Top Choice Ant Killer and the grubworm killer are both additional services and the cost mentioned in this review does not include those prices.

We are signing up for their program for 2015 so we will see how it goes. Good first impression.

My lawn definitely looks better than before I hired Weedex. Let's face it, folks: this is north TX, with some of the worst quality 'dirt' I've ever seen (after having lived in Iowa and Indiana--where dirt is dark, rich, moist, and chock full o'nutrients). Down here in TX your ground is sand, clay, and garbage. So we're not going to have lush green lawns like you see on TV. However, the Weedex guys have done the best job yet of killing & controlling weeks, and getting the grass to grow. In pretty short order (less than 6 months) they changed my lawn from broadleaf weed patches to just green, pretty health-looking grass. It looks 100 times better. Well worth the money.

They are here once every quarter. My experience with them was perfect. They have a high level of professionalism. Every time they’re here, I work so I’m not here often when they come. They always follow up through phone calls and give me an update on the condition of my yard.

Shady sales tactics... and misleading promotions.

Aside from there not being any weeds in my lawn, it does not look any healthier and greener than people on my street that haven't fertilized. I have various neighbors that are using a competitor and their lawn look thick and healthy. Some have already greened up really well. I have another neighbor who used a store bought fertilizer on their lawn and the difference between their lawn and mine are noticeably different. The reason I'm using a service rather than doing it myself is not because I can't, it's because I want to see results. It seems l left one mediocre service for another as I'm not seeing the same results as others in my neighborhood are seeing with their lawn service company or their store bought product. I called the main office to voice my concern and I was told someone would give me a call back and I have yet to hear from anyone.

First visit, David explained the process and answered all my questions about the problems we identified in my lawn. The initial weed control has noticeable results and I expect even more after the second treatment of weed and feed. The fire ant treatment has been done but will take time to evaluate the results. I have found Teresa and David to be very knowledgeable and very helpful with the many questions I had and arranged for all my requests to be done. They notify me by phone when they will come out and give me an update in person if I am home and always leave information about the service completed and any instructions for watering or other care needed.

It was a pretty good experience. They were generally good, patient, knowledgeable and responsive.

I have been using their services for about 8 months. They are very professional, prompt and responsive. They call ahead of the service and always provide information on the lawn application. They also provide each time detailed instructions on recommended watering and moving for that period. Highly recommended.

Best our yard has ever looked and we've tried numerous lawn care companies over the last 20 years.

With more than an acre of lawn, they were more cost-effective than buying bags and doing it myself. I also took advantage of their once-per-year fire ant service and that seems to be effective as well.

The service manager was very knowledgable and friendly. He pointed out our needs, but did not oversell.

They always call. They're very punctual, and they're there whenever you have any question. We had some bad problems with our front lawn, and they had been on top of things when I called. They're courteous. The gentleman that services the lawn is an unbelievable young guy. He calls before he comes, and he answers all my questions. He is very proactive with our yard. They've just been really great! Their price was good! I was able to prepay and get a discount. Before they come, they leave information on the door. If there's a problem, they call you back. They've been extremely responsive, because we have a lot of questions and they have a lot of issues to deal with. I have had no complaints or whatsoever with that company.

I am happy with the results. I have had issues with my front yard, but this is due to issues beyond the scope of Weedex's control. Replacement sod brought in by lawn mowing company may have brought in Bermuda Mites, which were discovered by my Weedex tech and for which I've subsequently received treatment. Weeds are definitely under control!

Very responsive. Went the extra mile to help control/kill my weeds even though I missed some of the pre-emergent treatments because I am a new customer.

They come out and treat the yard for weeds and bacteria.

Weedex was a good service at first, but has really let me down recently and caused me to cancel their service. Here are my issues: 1. The quality & experience level of the lawn techs they sent to my house has gone downhill. It got to where I was just paying someone to spread fertilizer, not to understand my lawn and keep it healthy. 2. They accidentally double-fertilized my lawn due to a misunderstanding that they admitted was their fault. My lawn then experienced a chinch bug attack, which made it look bad and cost me about $200 to treat. Weedex said the double fertilization had nothing to do with the chinch bugs, but experts agree that too much fertilizer makes one's lawn more prone to chinch bugs & fungus. In any event, Weedex still charged me for the fertilizer. 3. When I called & left a message saying something was wrong with my lawn, I heard nothing from them for 3 days. Only when I called to cancel my service did they quickly send somebody out to see what was wrong. 4. When you call Weedex, you almost never get a person -- you only get a recording. 5. When I received a final invoice from Weedex, there was a $50 charge I didn't think was correct. I called and left a message -- didn't hear back for 2 days. At that point, they still couldn't explain the charge, but said they were going to charge it to my credit card anyway and would get back to me with an explanation. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't heard anything. Why would they charge my credit card if they couldn't explain the charge? They are not bad people. Rather, they just aren't on top of things and they don't react well to questions & complaints. UPDATE 9/17/12: I have reviewed, and appreciate, Weedex's response below. I have two replies: First, Weedex did in fact know (i.e., had been told) I had fertilized my lawn before they came out and mistakenly fertilized it again. I spoke with Teresa at Weedex that very day and told her I had just fertilized the lawn and wanted to know when they would be coming out to put down fungicide. Further, Weedex's Residential Manager (Brennan), told me the double fertilization was Weedex's fault. Thus, I do not understand why Weedex's response below states they "had no way of knowing" I had already fertilized. In my opinion, they just should have said "we dropped the ball, so we won't charge you for the fertilizer treatment." Second, Weedex blames my yard's chinch bugs on the "high heat and drought" we experienced this summer rather than the double fertilizer mistake. Guess what? It was far hotter and dryer last summer, and my lawn never had any problem with pests. I can't say for sure why mother nature does what she does, but I can say that double fertilization on St. Augustine grass sets you up for a host of problems.
