Mr. Jolly was awesome and got very creative to create a motorized TV cabinet and rather quick as well good follow up too!

If you have to get work done within a certain time frame this company would probably not be the best choice. I had two other companies. come the same day I called to give me an estimate(Monday). I scheduled a appt with TBF for Thursday the earliest date available. They just called me to reschedule my appt. for two days from now(Saturday). They seem to be very busy people so I don't believe they could help me resolve any issues that come up in a timely manner. Needless to say I will be going with one of the contractors that came on Monday. Waited for TBF for 3 days for no reason.

Texas Best Fence gave us the best estimate by far (another company quoted us $20,000. Seriously.) and then ended up charging us $700 LESS than the initial quote. The workers were prompt, polite and professional, as were the staff members we communicated with over the phone. The work is beautiful and was completed in a timely manner - two and a half days for a large yard - once they began. That brings me to one of two tiny quibbles. There's a very long lead time on the work starting, but since they seem to be the only company in town who even calls people back, it's just because they're in very high demand. We had to book about a month out. Second, communication wasn't the greatest. Lots of phone tag and confusion on when our work would start depending on who you were talking to. But, again, we couldn't even get other companies to come out for estimates or to call us back once they did the estimate, so even though this was a bit annoying, the overall experience was fantastic.

One of our fence posts broke due to high winds this summer. I wanted to get someone to replace it. I contacted few companies. One of them did not respond (How is it so many service-based companies are so unprofessional in Texas?). Texas Best Fence had someone to take a message so I wouldn't give them F on responsiveness. However, thats the good part. Someone contacted me next day to give a quote and said he will come out to have a look and give exact estimate. I waited all day and then called back in evening to check if he was coming over. He said he was stuck with the current job and couldn't come over. I was OK with that and he gave an estimate over the phone which was reasonable. I told him I will have to coordinate with my neighbor so we can have access to his yard. I called back again to schedule a time to get the work done and left a voicemail. No response and no follow up. Finally, I decided to give a call to another firm which had good reviews on Angies List (BC remodeling) who did the job and , more importantly, was responsive and professional. I understand it was a small job and its the busy time of the year but if they would have been just upfront about it with a response like "We are busy right now but if you are OK waiting for few days, we can have someone over" I would have been perfectly happy. Also, "There are many of us that are willing to do great things for the Lord, but few of us are willing to do little things" - Dwight L. Moody. That is so true even for things that occur in every day life. Updated: This is in response to the provider's message below. Thank you for responding to my review. However, if I may provide a suggestion I would say that you should instruct your office to directly inform the customer that the job will be handled by Texas Best Stain and give the phone #. This should absolve your company of the responsibility (and might in fact save lot of the bad reviews you see here). Unfortunately, I wasn't informed about this. I was told "Rocky" was informed about the job (I don't like to use names in my review as the site is for business reviews. Hence, I omitted his name earlier. I think someone who works for Rocky had called me) but it was not mentioned that he doesn't work for the same company. I was under the impression that he works for your company. I have upgraded my rating for responsiveness to A as you cared enough to respond to review and clear the matter. But unfortunately cannot change the overall impression at this time.

We hired this company to put up a new fence and extend our driveway. At first we were told they wouldn't be able to put up the fence for 4 weeks because they were so back logged. However, we were delightfully surprised when they called to schedule just 2 weeks later. They called a few days before they were scheduled to confirm which I appreciated. Unfortunately it ended up raining one day so they had to push it back. They called twice just to let us know they had to push it back by 1 day due to weather which I really appreciated. They showed up on time and completed the work as promised. The fence was gorgeous. And this is where the great experience ended. After the fence was put up I called the office to ask when they would come do the concrete work that they were contracted for as I thought it odd that no one had even called to schedule this service. I was told they would do it either Tuesday or Wednesday. Both days passed and no one showed up. Nor did anyone call to tell me they wouldn't be by. I called the office on Thursday morning to ask why no one had come. The person told me they would call the crew and get back to me. Yet again, no one called. On Friday I called again to ask about it and was told they would call me back. This time someone did. They told me they would have a crew out there on Saturday to lay the rebar and then would come back on either Monday or Tuesday to pour the concrete. I will say the crew did come and started the work on Saturday. However, once again, no one came this past Monday or Tuesday to finish the job. Once again, no one called to inform me they would not be coming. Then I got quite a surprise this afternoon when they sent me a bill for both the fence and concrete! After that I once again called their office. They had no idea if the job had been completed or not yet decided to issue the bill anyways. I was told they would call me back. Once again, no one cared to call. I'm not sure what else to do at this point as it is clear they care nothing about finishing the work they are legally obligated to do. No customer should have to call 4 times just to get someone to do the work they were hired to do. UPDATE: I'm updating this review because the company finally did call me back and explained what was causing the delay. They then were very prompt in getting someone to come out and finish the job. I was even contacted by the owner and received his apologies. Once again, the finished work product is beautiful. It does seem that this experience was out of the norm for these guys. Understandably, sometimes certain jobs fall through the cracks and that appears to be what happened here. I will even say I?ll likely use them in the future for any outdoor project.

I worked with Andrea on my project and found her to be a pleasant person. After I signed my contract, there was a 4-5 week wait period which was unfortunate but not a problem. My contract was to replace a portion of my fence and to install a large arbor over my pool deck. The fence was in bad shape and needed to be replaced but we were mostly looking forward to the arbor since we have no shade in our backyard. Two days prior to the installation a gentleman showed up, unannounced, as we were walking out the door. He indicated he was there to confirm the measurements and put together the list of materials. I let him into the backyard and he quickly identified that the measurements for the arbor were inaccurate and couldn't be installed as drawn up. He was a nice guy and willing to sit down and work out a new plan, which would require electrical work, repositioning of the posts, etc; however since he didn't call ahead or make an appointment the timing was terrible and we had to leave for a sporting event. I was forced to cancel the arbor installation and just move forward with the fence. Before I left, the materials person indicated he could redesign an arbor that would fit into the space and look great. I told him excellent, I was counting on his expertise and asked him to leave a rough sketch of the redesign so I could get an idea of the new layout. When I returned home there was no sketch. I called Andrea the next week and she indicated the person was still working on the redesign. The fence installation went on as planned,June 3, and it was completed on-time, professionally, and looks great. The 2 man team who installed the fence were amazing and I don't think took a single break in the 7 or 8 hours they were here. Shortly after the fence was installed Andrea stopped by to pick up the payment and she informed the arbor plans were still not complete. I am now almost 4 weeks from the date it was going to be installed and I have yet to receive the plans. I have also not been contacted in the last 2 and half weeks on status. In my opinion, this company uses quality materials, has excellent craftsmen but need assistance in their logistics and communication skills. I would recommend using TBF, but I would request an appointment with the materials person a week ahead of your installation date (vs. 2 days) in case there is an issue that needs to be worked out. They were very professional. The bid they gave was pretty fair. It went very well. They were good about calling and making sure that the appointment was confirmed. They got here on time. They listened to our needs and concerns. We would recommend them.

It went well. They did what they said they would do for what they said they would do it for, they did a good job.

Overall, we like the end result. However, getting there is another story. My intent in writing this review is to inform others regardless of who you contract for fencing. This review should in no way deter one from using Texas best Fence as their professionalism and eagerness to satisfy their customers is top notch. Any issues that are mentioned in this review were resolved by Texas best fence to my satisfaction, as you will read. That being said, I have learned some lessons in contracting for a privacy fence. PRIVACY being the key word here as we will get to that in a bit. The first concern is scheduling. Understandably, we were delayed quite a bit due to storms rolling through Texas constantly for a month. This hindered the initial installation and in my opinion affected the wood and stain quality due to a scheduling conflict which left the pre-dipped pickets still bundled in a pile for 3 days. Luckily they were dry days and not wet ones though. This brings us to wood and stain quality. For convenience, we opted for pre-dipped. Never will we ever do this again. DO NOT OPT for pre-stained or pre-dipped! We were warned by others about this, but tried it anyway and regretted it. The first issue with the pre-dipped was that about 50% of the pickets were spotty where the dipped didn't "take". I also think that the pickets staying bundled in the yard for 3 days added to the problem. However, TBF promptly agreed to re-stain the fence and Oscar did a wonderful job making it look perfect. TIP: Have the stain guy fill a small jar or jug with stain so you can perform minor touch ups yourself when needed. As for the wood quality, this was simply a lesson learned and was no fault of TBF AFAIK. We did not want to spend the extra money for "clear" cedar, but wished afterwards that we had. Did I mention that we wanted a B-on-B Privacy fence? This means no cracks or holes are tolerated. Of course, if you have knots, you will eventually have cracks and holes. What I didn't expect was to have cracks and holes upon installation. Now, this could have just been a bad "batch" that TBF had acquired, but I was determined to get the privacy fence we paid for. I contacted Leighann and explained that there were literally dozens of pickets that needed replacing. TBF was exceedingly accommodating! They scheduled jose to come out and replace the boards. Due to more rain, the replacement was delayed and I noticed more knot cracks and softened knots washed out. TBF immediately added to the picket count and Jose came out to replace. Any board I didn't like, they replaced! No fuss, no complaining or trying to convince me that it's normal. They just replaced every picket that I didn't feel provided us the privacy we paid for. Jose was the installer lead and was very knowledgable and helpful. Gladly answered any questions I had and was happy to address any of my concerns. Oscar did a great job re-staining our fence and was also happy to answer any and all questions and addressed any concerns. (Thanks Oscar for the jug of stain!) Colby (spelling?), the owner, was very helpful and took the time to come visit our fence to inspect for my concerns. Leighann was always a pleasure to deal with on the phone and with scheduling for replacements. She happily scheduled ordered replacement pickets for any that I thought need replacing. So, there's my story. I hope this will help you in managing your fence contract no matter who you use. But I would highly recommend Texas Best Fence simply due to the fact that they will bend over backwards to make you a satisfied customer! All with a smile on their face and an eagerness to please.

I thought they were overpriced. Everything else was fine. We found a better price and a better company. They were friendly, prompt and prompt to answer over the phone.

The salesman had all the good qualities a salesman should without the bad qualities. They were very efficient, worked very fast, and completely met all my expectations.

WOW! This company is amazing! They were fast, on time and efficient. Our fence was put up beautifully and they finished on time in one morning. I couldn't have asked for better service!!

Colby and his staff were very friendly and professional. I'm very pleased with the stellar work and the time that it took. Total time 2 days. Colby even had a company come out and move my sprinklers. I have neighbors coming out of the wood work with positive comments and are considering to have their fences redone with added driveway gates. My back yard has a feel of a private oasis. Thank you Colby and staff for your hard work!

The whole process went extremely well. Everyone was prompt and all I had to do was write the check.. They got the permits and work took about 1.5 days. I was shocked at the price of fences, but all of the bids were the same.I would highly recommend and would use again.

I am replacing a aged and very weather damaged fence. I called TBF for an estimate to replace roughly 200 linear feet of residential fence (nothing fancy just standard weather treated boards with post in concrete, and they price they gave me was $2000 greater than every other bid I received. I will say they were the first to call me back to set an appointment and they are very friendly and I have no doubt the work would been performed brilliantly its just their price point is way to high so I went with another fencing company. If you guys can lower your rates I would definitely consider you for any future deck/patio projects I have.

I compared 6 top rated companies on Angie's List by requesting full bids from each. Texas Best Fence and my rep (Adam) were by far the best and most balanced. Excellent workmanship, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. A must for you landscaping needs.

I scheduled estimates 3 times. They didn't show the first time. Second time they canceled at the last minute because they "forgot there was an office Christmas party at the same time". The third time, the estimator asked to change the time because he "unexpectedly had his kids that weekend". I said "no problem, spend the time with your family". Then at the alternate time he was a no-show. I gave up. Got the definite impression that they only want very large jobs.

The work has not been scheduled yet but we will be using this provider.

The entire experience was great, very professional service and great work, started on time and finished on date estimated, would definitely use them or recommend them for any project.
