The Grout Medic of Northeast Tarrant

Due to a leak in our upstairs bath, the plumber had to remove several tiles to access the leak. My husband called the Grout Medic and we were informed we would have to go out and buy the tiles and then they would fix the wall. If I have to go out and buy the tiles I'll just fix the wall myself. Maybe this is how it is handled by all companies. We are waiting to hear back from a different company and we'll see how that goes. We may have to do it ourselves.

They did an excellent job. The workers arrived on time and got right to work. They did a great job on the tile work we had them do and the re-grouting made the bathrooms look 100% better.

Service was professional with a detailed estimated provided on a separate apt. The work took about 5 hrs There was a bit of dust to cleanup afterward but all went well.

The job was done well, but I did experience some things I didn't expect. The repairman was not aware that some of the tile grout needed to be repaired before cleaning and did not bring any grout with him. He did go to Home Depot and get what he needed to finish the flooring. The caulking in the shower does not match the grout very well, but I picked the color and so have no complaints. Only one worker did the whole job and I expected a crew (one to do the floors and one to do the shower) so it wouldn't take all day. But I will say the finished job was done well.

Jared did a fine job of cutting the tile to perfectly fit the rectangular counter top. He cut each tile to form a beautiful diamond pattern around the surface of the new sink. Brian reinforced the counter top to keep the tiles from creating a dip at the existing bull nose. The work was done quickly and the job now looks perfect. No one would be able to tell it was replacement tile not original. Our concerns were addressed, the job was done quickly, and it is so very nice. Each person arrived at the agreed time, explained the job, did their best, and solved our problem. Well done.

Service man arrived on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after himself. We are pleased with the work.

Appointment was rescheduled two times. I had hoped to stagger the recaulking of the 2 bathrooms so that we would all not be down to 1 bathroom after the repair. But due to scheduling issues resulting from incorrect color selection by the technician performing the assessment, I had to combine the 2 appointments. Overall, the staff was responsive to my concerns. The technician was courteous and professional. They also threw in a few tasks for free that I had requested later but were not in the original estimate. The quality of the work looks fine for now. Overall, the experience was good except for scheduling issues.

It's incorrect for this provider to claim they server the DFW metro area. They don't do work in Fort Worth. When I called to request an appointment, I was told they would come as far west as Trophy Club but nothing farther west or south of that. I've got no problem with the provider making very specific choices where he will and won't work. However, the information in this listing really should be changed to reflect the true service area and Fort Worth should not be listed.

Things went well. There was a build up of calcium on the tile and it took a lot longer than what estimated to do the job. I was very satisfied with the job and asked for a quote to clean, re-grout and repair tile in the guest bath.

over all it was good experience. Will definitely user their service again.

Contacted Grout Doctor and got no response for 2 days, then called Grout Medic and he came came when requested for an estimate. We set a time and the Technician came on-time. He had all the right tools and began work immediately. He was plesant and easy to work with. Shower turned out great (Grout looked new).Finished in several hours after cleaning up. Good professional company.

A crew of 2 arrived, on time, to restain our grout in the kitchen, sunroom, and entryway. The crew was very professional, prompt, thorough, and polite. They did an excellent job and I'd highly recommend their services. The Grout Medic also had MUCH better pricing than another company I contacted in the DFW area.

Charlie came out initially to do an estimate on the job. He was running a bit early which was fine since I was home. The estimate was quick, concise and he sent me an e-mail with the information before ever leaving the house. Very professional and personable. Ray showed up right on time to do the actual work. Ray was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and set up everything he needed to do the job in short order. He used a vibrating tool to remove the grout to decrease the amount of dust and debris. Our walls had shifted when our foundation moved so he was very focused on areas where the walls where they met and resealing the shower floor perimeter. There were additional areas where grout needed to be removed and replaced. Overall he did a very good job, giving more than adequate coverage (caulking) where spaces were no longer quite even and yet making it look seamless. The brand new grout work matches the old perfectly.

Good price, and DEPENDABLE service!

Floor repair was excellent. He was very careful removed the loose tiles and was able to save them and reset. Because of the quality of the floor repair job we selected him for the large shower repair. They cleaned and disinfected the shower, repaired loose grout, and painted the grout on the glass block wall (2 sided). They were timely with the work and the quality of the overall project was good. I was a little disappointed that the cleaned grout on the regular tiles was not touched up to remove some discoloration - I had expected that would be done - but I was able to remedy that on my own.

I called to make an appointment. The Rep called back and setup an appointment to give me an estimate. He arrived on time and checked the tile over. He told me I had two options; I could have the grout cleaned and sealed or I could have the grout cleaned colored and sealed. He gave me a price for both options and then showed me the color selections available. He wrote up an estimate for each option and told me to let him know if and when I would like to have it done. I made the decision to have the grout in my kitchen and bathroom cleaned, colored and sealed. I called the Rep told him which option I wanted and setup a day and time. The day came; the Rep was there on time and proceeded to start the job. He steam cleaned the grout of any dirt and grease; he then cleaned up any debris. The tile was then ready to have the new color applied. He put the new grout color & sealer on the old grout. Once the job was completed he told me how to clean the floor to keep the grout looking new. I paid the Rep. and the job was complete. It took about an hour to dry. It looks new again.

Very disappointed in this company. I requested a price in May and response was quick and price was reasonable. I tried to contact them again to arrange date to carry out the work and whilst I always managed to speak to someone at the Grout Medic central number I could not get a reply from the guy who gave me the quote. This went on for weeks. Nobody could get hold of him, I was ringing almost daily because (I thought) it would be quicker than getting another company in (wrong). They finally called me back and told me he had lost the quote. I scanned mine in and sent it to him by email. He replied that he couldn't remember the job and that the quote was wrong as he had forgotten to include something. He said he would come and have another look but couldn't do the work for several weeks. I wrote back and said that I had family staying but if he called me the last week in August we could arrange a date. Needless to say he never called and someone else has now done the work.

They were professional and thorough. I have used them twice; one time, I had them fix the grout and the other time, I had them re-tile some places where the plumber had taken some tiles off; it was a side job where they had to just put the tiles back. I would rate them highly.

Everything turned out very well. I had gotten a few different estimates, and they were all pretty high. The Grout Medic took the time to explain things to me thoroughly, and they charged a lower price. They did a great job and I was very pleased.

Contact came out, gave estimate to have three bathrooms re-grouted. I called back and scheduled a time to have them done. He explained the rotation scheduled that was needed in order for us to have a usable bathroom/shower at all times. He completed one bathroom in an hour. Came back the next day and completed the other two bathrooms in a little over an hour. Excellent job, no problems. Held true to his original estimate.

I thought the price was very reasonable. They were professional and punctual. There wasn't a lot of run around and talk, they were just very polite and did the work. They were knowledgeable and gave me careful instructions on keeping the floor dry until they came back to check it.

I called to set up an appointment for an estimate on regrouting my shower, and I left a message on their answering machine. The called back two days later, and we scheduled the appointment for Wednesday at 6:00. On Wednesday, Matt called to say that he was stuck on a job and would not be able to make the appointment. That's fine - I understand things happen, and I appreciate his calling early enough that I could re-work my schedule for that evening. We rescheduled for Friday at 8:30 a.m. On Friday, I stayed home from work to meet with Matt at 8:30 and get the estimate. By 9:00, he had not shown up and had not called. I called the company's main number and just got the answering machine. Then I called Matt's mobile number and left him a voice mail (he didn't answer), informing him that I needed to go to work and cancelling our appointment. I wasted 2+ hours of my morning (I normally leave the house at 7:00), and I had no estimate to show for it. Based on other reviews on this site, I trust that Grout Medic does good work. But in business, first impressions are everything, and a reschedule and a no-show for an estimate does not fill me with confidence in this company. What assurance do I have now that they will show up on time if I hire them to do the job? I have tolerance for the rescheduling - I understand that unexpected things come up - but I have no tolerance for being stood up and having my time wasted without so much as a phone call. Needless to say, I will not be hiring Grout Medic for this or any other job.

Representative (Matt) listened carefully to my concerns and recommended an effective solution. He did excellent work, was on time, polite, overall a great value. The repair is still working. No evidence of mildew or mold 5 months later (prior to Grout Medic mold and mildew appeared within days of cleaning).

A company rep showed up on time and gave me what I believed to be a reasonable estimate. After getting several bids from contractors to completely re-do the shower my wife and I decided that we would just repair the tile for now. The worker showed-up on time and completed the work on time. I believe that he would have finished much sooner if he wasn't such a "chatty Kathy". But, I can't complain. He was pleasant and I think that he did a good job. My only complaint is that the new tiles do not match the old tiles but I am to blame for the "mismatch" as I am the one that picked them out (they matched perfectly in the store!)
