The lightning that caused this damage resulted in the supply lines bursting.  It struck about 2:00 am and by the time I discovered the damage my yard and the neighbors yard were flooded.  Fortunately, the fire in the control box burned itself out.  Regardless, the event was very disconcerting.  To add insult to injury my insurance company required estimates before they would allow repairs to begin, but the first two sprinkler companies I called refused to come out saying it is too complicated to make an estimate in cases like this.  I called John Hofer at Just Add H2O and explained my dilemma to him.  He was great.  He came to the house that day and looked at the damage.  Then he worked with me and my insurance company so that we could move forward.  One of the burst supply lines was centered under my wood deck.  An unscrupulous contractor could have said we must tear out the deck (in order to make more money).  John figured out a way to reroute the line so that the deck was left intact; and he had all the repairs made within a couple days (in spite of some cold, rainy weather).  I found John to be professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with.

FOLLOW-UP: A couple months after the job, I had a "senior moment" and got confused about how the system was to work.  I called John and, although he could have come out and then charged me for a service call, he walked me through it over the phone.  I believe John Hofer to be a man of high integrity.

He showed up within the day to evaluate and give estimate. Returned two days later for an hour or so work. We were pleased with all aspects of the service.

Mostly, I do my own lawn sprinklers, but when the roofers crushed a standing sprinkler head, I found a previous repair (not my own) that had three different sizes of pipe in an unusual configuration. I called H2O. They responded quickly and were puntual. I appreciated the heads up call. They too were amazed at the wonderous work of that unknown repair man, but they did cut out the junk and replace it with new in just less than an hour. They were very careful, and the finish was beautiful; you could not tell there had been an excavation in the flower bed at all.

.Several years ago Just Add H20 upgraded our 12 year old sprinkler system by putting in a new and more effecient timing box. They also adjusted and replaced the spray head to add more efficiency to our system. Recently, we added some landscaping in our backyard, so we had John add 2 spray heads, move 2 spray heads and adjust rotors. Again, we were pleased with his work and the ease of explaining to him what we want done. We would use Just Add H20 again and we recommend this company.

John was very professional and did not waste any time. He did the work when he said he would and was very quick with it. He installed 6 zones for our yard including a garden bed that we have not yet planted but just prepped for. After the fact, I am a little disappointed with a couple things. The zone wiring stations that were placed in the back yard are below grade and so we have a couple of large divots that will be hard to mow over. Also, it seems that some of the areas of our flower beds do not get equal amounts of water. I have not called John about this, but I am fairly sure that he will correct the problem when I bring it to his attention. If not...I'll edit the report. Overall, a good price, good people and done quickly. (Also, he did not require payment until the job was completed!)
