Description of Work: We had flooring put in our home, never was given the correct time it would take to have installed. They rescheduled one day before which caused problems with being able to be there. The install manager was the rudest person I have ever dealt with and offered a $100 credit which we have yet to receive. DON'T USE THEM!!!!!

I went into the store but wasn't too impressed with the lack of attention I was getting. I was going to buy from them but, thankful that I didn't.
Description of Work: Buyer Beware. Jack's Carpet is entering Bankruptcy. Jack's Carpet to file for bankruptcy. Customers complain about not getting orders, refunds. On November 8th, 30 days after ordering the carpet, we were called by Jack's Carpet and told that the carpet wasn't in stock. I asked if it would be in stock next week and the answer was literally "Who knows. You can call next week on Thursday to find out if it is on the Friday truck or not." Not very helpful, especially after having 30 full days notice and being assured by salesman #1, who was no longer with the company now, that the product would be available. We called the store (which is when we found out salesman #1 was no longer at the store) and were handed off to salesman #2. This gentleman told us no one in the store can issue refunds; paperwork had to be filled out with corporate. He assured us he would do so that evening. I asked for a phone call confirmation from corporate the next day, and he assured me he would make a note of that on the paperwork. The next day, no call came from corporate, so I called corporate to confirm receipt after lunch. They had no paperwork and no knowledge about any refund request for my invoice. The person who handles refunds was "out of the office" for the day. A polite person took my information and assured me she would handle the paperwork for us this afternoon and hand it off. She did call back several hours later and confirmed the paperwork was now filed. Another week went buy and no refund was issued on our credit card. I called back to corporate again and a gentleman confirmed that paperwork was filed, but no refunds can be issued without the owner's signature. Event though it had already been a full week, he couldn't provide a definitive date on when the owner would sign off on the refund. "Maybe next week" was the response we were told. Now, it has been nearly 2 weeks since we were told they didn't have our carpet, and we STILL don't have a refund, and visa is making us do the paperwork shuffle to "help us resolve the dispute with the merchant." It seems pretty black and white to me- they never installed the carpet we ordered and paid for all the way back on October 9th, 2012!
Description of Work: We bought the carpet from salesman #1 on October 9th, 2012. Very professional, and we agreed upon an installation date of November 9th, 2012. With a full 30 days notice the salesman "guaranteed" that the carpet would be available and in-stock. It wasn't, we never got the carpet, and now we're fighting tooth and nail to get our money back with visa and Jack's Carpet.

Both sales people were excellent and knew their stuff about flooring oprions. When finally decided @ beginning of oct on carpet, unfortunately - first salesperson was leaving on day i went to place order. Should have been my sign. Next saleseperson was excellent. - salesperson came out and measured and i put down deposit on oct 4. We selected install date of Oct 18 and back up date of Oct 31. On oct 9 - salesperson called me to let me know carpet would not be in in time for oct 18 install. No problem - we had a back up date. They also cashed my check on this date so i assumed carpet was on its way. Oct 31 -i stayed up late moving all stuff from closets the night before, Got my son with autism and dog resettled, took day off from work. By 9:30 - still no carpet people. Called number on invoice, woman stated we were not on the schedule. She then looked up invoice number - i was told "carpet was not in". Extremely angry, called the store to learn salesperson #2 was no longer with company. Hmmm - another warning sign. Person apologized and told me that it was just a mistake, and that he would notify customer service to make sure they called me when carpet was ready. On nov 15 - with still no carpet/thanksgiving next week, went to store to seek solution. Due to large area of square footage of order - i was provided with only two options of carpet that were in warehouse - both were lower quality and not a color i wanted. I was offered a refund and the salesperson filled out a form. I have learned that many of salespeople are not getting paid, company is in financial trouble. My carpet was in, but hadnt shipped due to lack of payment on the company's end.
Description of Work: Provided guidance on laminate vs carpet due to current underlayment on second floor of older home. Provided carpet sample to take home and determine which color i wanted. Came out (arrived on time) to measure second floor. Placed carpet order. Gave deposit of half cost of carpet.. To date- NO CARPET installed.

Description of Work: It didn't go at all. I would never refer anyone there. Well what I thought was going to be a great place to get flooring turned out to be anything but; I was the one who had to keep calling and asking about flooring and how the product would hold up. To me they did't care. So I got tired of waiting and will be using a company called Huffman Tile for my flooring.

The salesman was great, very helpful and responsive in providing assistance and information on choices and the estimate. Carpet installation was well done. Unfortunately, as the installers were leaving one of them tried to walk off with my hat. He did not know I was there and played it off as soon as he saw me. Obviously, just a hat, but I was glad the house was empty of our stuff as we had not moved in yet. I called and reported it to the installation department, figuring they would want to know. They promised to investigate and call me back. Have not heard back 3 days later. Overall, a good lesson in not trusting people in your house.

This is my third carpet in 30 years; however, it is the first time I have been totally satisfied with the results. Jack's Carpet even made a throw rug out of a leftover piece; adding a professional looking seem around the outside. My wife loves it. We get many compliments on our new carpet; not so much before.
Description of Work: Ralph Coburn at Jack's carpet listened carefully to what my wife wanted (something I seem to lack) and gave us recommendations that met our needs and her desires. He gave us samples and did not rush the decision. Once made, it was scheduled to meet our needs. They showed as promised, did the entire job in one day, and left no mess behind. The result was the best carpet we have ever had with a great looking installation job.

Unfortunately, our experience was not good. They tried to switch padding on us and give us an inferior quality of padding. Also two seams are visible, although the quality of carpet is decent (we picked that out). I would not hire them again.
Description of Work: Jack's came to install carpeting on 1500 square feet.

Jack's answered my call right away and followed up with an estimate for installation of new carpet. Their prices were a little high, but they showed me samples of high-grade carpeting and explained the stain registers and warranties. The carpet is real nice but I'm not happy with it because the seams show. I called them about the seams and they said that's how it is, but I think they should have done a better job with the seams.
Description of Work: The carpet installer moved the furniture in the three bedrooms and tore out the old carpet and took it outside and loaded it in his truck. He rolled out the new carpet and installed it in the three bedrooms along with new padding. He moved the furniture back in place and cleaned up all the remnants.

Customer service waited on us quickly, followed up with an estimate for carpet and tile. Their prices were very reasonable and they explained the different qualities of carpet and tile, warranties and showed us samples. The installation was scheduled as soon as the carpet and tile was available, and the installers were right on time. The carpet crew did an excellent job, did the job quickly and cleaned up all the remnants, but the tile crew tied up my kitchen for several days and it was not a good experience. They were not friendly or cooperative, but they finally did get the job done and cleaned up all the mess.
Description of Work: The installer carpeted our three bedrooms and living room and installed ceramic tile in the kitchen. They moved the furniture and tore out the old carpet and tile.

The installation was scheduled as soon as the carpet was available, and the installers were on time. They took up the old carpet and padding, put down the new padding and carpet, and sealed all the seams. They cleaned up all the remnants and left the house looking great. They did an excellent job, and the carpet looks beautiful.

We went to Jack's Carpets warehouse and picked out the carpet we wanted. They showed us different grades and demonstrated the stain resistors. Their prices were very reasonable, and they sold us a very high quality carpet and explained the warranties. The installation was scheduled as soon as a day was set, and the installers were on time. They brought in the carpet, rolled it out, cut and measured it, and laid it. There were no seams showing, and it was nice and even looked beautiful. They cleaned up any mess and picked up all the remnants.

They measured the house & gave us an estimate. The product was of good quality, but the service was terrible. I had the carpet pulled up in the bathroom to install tiles; they brought the wrong color carpet & the second time they didn't bring enough to do the house. I am very dissatisfied with this company & would not hire them again. The workers weren't professional, nor were they timely or respectful.
