 + -1 moreSaturday - April 19, 2014: The Contractor said he would begin work at 8 am. We had to call him at 10 am. Said he was late and would be at the house around 11ish (very vague). He dropped off two workers who began removing the grass and laying at the forms for the concrete. They finished around 5:30 pm. The contractor said he would return Monday morning to remove the forms. Monday - April 21, 2014: No phone call from the contractor.....we had to call him late afternoon on Monday. He said they would be at the house Tuesday (4/20/2014) to remove the forms....... Tuesday - April 22, 2014: No phone call from the contractor.....at 11am, we called and he said he would send someone out around 12:30 pm. A worker did come at 12:15 and removed the forms (took 10 minutes)!
Description of Work: Poured a concrete slab for our BBQ grill. 6' x 7' slab. Note: we paid $650 in cash (he said he preferred cash). In summary, we feel $650 for 5 hours of work was overpriced ($130/hour). The Quikrete was approximately $52 ($3.25/80# bag x 16 bags).
