Victor's Remodeling and Construction

Stay far away from Victor's Remodeling and Construction. Don't listen to their spiel on radio shows and BBB accreditation. 1. They falsely advertise on their site that they are BBB accredited, which their are actually not as of 01/28/25. 2. I have submitted a Formal Demand for Refund of Pre-Payment for Inaccurate Architectural Designs provided by Victor’s Remodeling and Construction and have now submitted this for Houston BBB to address since Victor himself does not have the intention to refund the pre-payment for unusable designs. This has been going on since August 2024. Victor's Remodeling and Construction has been a horrible experience here in Houston, TX. I would not trust them to deliver whatsoever. They are quick to collect moneys and delay, deny and deflect when issues arise. Do not pre-pay any construction company and certainly stay far away from this one.

How did it go? Not bad considering I wanted to use a type of siding that is not widely known in Houston, but one that I determined would suit my engineering requirements better. So the guys at Victor's actually contacted the manufacturer of the siding and had their rep come and conduct training for their crews. The rep even came on site to inspect their work after the job. Pretty impressive. The guys at Victor's did a good job. I get compliments on the carpentry work of the siding job even today. Folks all say it is very straight and true.

Their work was excellent and completed on a timely basis! We are completely happy with the all of the work that Victor's Exteriors did for us. Roel made himself available to us & answered all of our questions. He then followed up and checked on each and every item that we had questions about. We saw a woodwork design on another house and provided a picture of it for Edgar to recreate on our home. He did an amazing job!

Felt ok at the time of the job (2007) but it's turned into something awful. We started seeing window frame rot and water leaks into the sheetrock in 2015. Investigation (removing the window trim) revealed that Victor did not wrap the entire house in Tyvek as the bid and contract specified. He did apply some Tyvek on the house, but at least some, if not all, the window frames are not sealed with Tyvek, or flashing, or tape, or caulk. It is also the case that the exterior window trim was laid on top of the siding, rather that being butt-jointed to it. Therefore, wind-swept rain could have been entering the house undetected since 2007. We spent $11,000 with Victor's, but it'll cost us more than that to replace the windows, sheetrock, and perhaps some framing. We're not to the bottom of it yet (not inspected all the windows), but it shows all the potential of becoming a real nightmare. Hardee's spec calls for blind nailing (covering up the lower plank's nails with the next plank up) so that the nails don't corrode, staining the surface. Victor did not follow this spec. I have plenty of exposed nail heads. If I hadn't spotted these problems, I would have given Victor's an A, too.

Nathan contacted me immediately after I requested a quote and visited me within two days. The quote provided was very reasonable. He sent Edgar's crew to work the job. They were able to complete the job in three days. I pointed out a few spots that needed touch up. Edgar and crew continued after that to inspect and find places to touch up. They also cleaned very well, removing pain that inadvertently dripped on the stone walk. We had some family medical issues that prevented us from picking the paint color right away. Nathan worked with us pointing out that we are paying the money and should be completely satisfied. This group has pride in their work. I was completely satisfied and will be sure to include them for bidding on future jobs.

I cannot begin to say enough about how pleased we were with Victor's Exteriors from start to finish. Our contact, Floyd Lopez, was professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Our crew was the best! They showed up on time every day, and when they left each day, they cleaned up so well that you could hardly tell that a work crew had been there all day. All of the light fixtures that were taken down while the new siding was put up were carefully dusted and cleaned. They looked brand new again when they were put back up on the house. A minor adjustment was made to our front gate so that when it was replaced, it worked better than before. If you are about to replace siding or install new gutters, call this company first.

Very professional bidding and detailed bid written up and handed to me on the spot. Once accepted he came back out to confirm details and got me scheduled in less than a week. I'll update once the work is completed.

Floyd Lopez supervised the work and was as good as it gets. On time, Neat, Well qualified installers. Everything about the experience was positive. Would not hesitate to use or recommend.

They worked with us till the year out and with an economical way to do it. They were different ways that you could do the siding and they helped us work out what works best for us. They were on time, did the job when they said they would, completed it expeditiously, they didn't doddle. They cleaned up extremely well after themselves, we didn't have a problems with debris in the yard that we have to clean it after them. The one quiver and it's also very small, the crew did a very poor job of fitting the hardy board around our garden faucet on the side of the house. They cut up patches and fitted around it and I understand they couldn't get the faucet off to put the board over it because it wouldn't come loose but rather than cutting it out to pieces, they could have done well. What I did is I said, "I'm not happy with that". My quiver is really with when the supervisor came out and looked over the house and was saying whether he was satisfied with the job that they've did or not, he didn't say anything about that area so I brought it up and then he said, "Well, yeah I didn't think that it was really good" but he wasn't going to say anything if I wasn't say anything so I brought it up and they fixed it with no extra charge which is good and it took an extra day and that was fine and I'm very satisfied with the job now. They wouldn't go the extra length unless you said you don't like just what they did.

Didn't contract with this company.

Victors did an excellent job. The price was right on the money, the crew was very professional. We had some weather issues around Christmas and work was delayed a bit but absolutely no problem for me. The crews were friendly, knew their job well, cleaned up the mess every day and when it was finished it looks like a new house ! I have referred them already to a couple of people and highly recommend Victors for siding and outside work !

We got bids from five companies off Angie’s List and went with Victor’s Exteriors. Of the five bids we got, they were the lowest bid by quite a bit. Floyd came out for the estimate and was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. They were also recommended to me. After starting the project, Floyd was very flexible with any changes we wanted and was easy to get a hold of. I have recommended them to at least two people so far.

The work was performed well; I am very pleased with the result. Equally the painting was professionaly done. There was a delay in the work due to a permit issue, which was not in the control of the contractor. The hold-up and work modifications that were required were dealt with well by Victor's Exteriors. They worked hard to ensure that what they had promised was delivered. I believe that they lost money on my project, but did not leave anything unfinished or substandard. I would most definately use Victor's Exteriers again, and would recommend them to my own family.

This wasn?t a major project for Victor?s Exteriors, but everyone at Victor?s was very responsive and did the job on time (2-1/2 days as promised) and installed the HardiPlank as requested. Was careful with not getting paint all over the landscaping. They cleaned up after the job was completed. I would recommend them to a friend for HardiPlank siding project

We were very pleased with them. I would highly recommend them. The salesperson was vcery knowledgeable and very easy to work with. The crew that came out totally covered the pool in our backyard and cleaned up after themselves everyday. It was a good experience. They would have been done on a timely basis if the weather had cooperated but they still got done.

I would consider using this company for applicable work in the future.

They did a great job. They were very professional. They put up the siding and painted it as well. It has held up beautifully so far.

We obtained bids from 3 Angie's List contractors for this work. The bids were relatively comparable. Floyd with Victor's Exteriors was especially attentive and prompt in answering all of our questions. We could not afford the entire $13,000 at one time, so they agreed to split the job in two, and they did the house in November of 2012, and they just completed the garage (July of 2013). We couldn't be more pleased with the results! They cleaned up thoroughly each day that they were here. They accommodated a last minute request when we asked that they install and paint a door at the back of our house. We had purchased the door several months ago, but my husband just hadn't yet been able to install it. We were so comfortable with them after their work on the house that we gave them a key to the house/garage when they worked on the garage, not only to allow them access to install the new door, but to allow them access to a bathroom. We highly recommend Victor's Exteriors, and we will use them in the future if the need arises.

They did a very good job. The previous soffit I used was very cheap. When they replaced the soffit they missed the air conditioner drain so it was draining into the inside of the soffit and collecting water. They came back and fixed the issue and they did a very good job even though they first did the work over a year ago. I'm having them come back to fix my door as well because I'm having foundation issues and the door no longer fits correctly.

We received several quotes to replace the siding and gutters on our home. We chose Victor's because their consultant, Marty, was very helpful and seemed honest and trustworthy. It turns out that we were right. As anyone who has remodeled a home will know, at some point something is going to go wrong. The real test of a great company is how they respond when things don't go as planned. The gutter company responsible for our project was unable to complete the job on time, and Marty and Victor's Exteriors went above and beyond to make sure that not only the job would be completed in a timely fashion, but that we were completely satisfied after it was done. No other company that we have used during our remodel has put in any thing like the time effort and energy to do a great job that Victor's Exteriors did. We highly recommend them.

Marty came out promptly to give me an estimate on siding. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and spent a great deal of time measuring and pointing out things to me. I learned a lot from him. I have not hired Victor's to do work because I am having a foundation repair company out first to see if my foundation needs work. If I do decide to do siding later, I will definitely use Victor's because I believe they will do a quality job.

The sales rep promised his best crew, and he delivered! They showed up each day at about 8:30 a.m. and left between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays only. They never left any portion of the house exposed without at least a wrap at the end of the day. The job took two weeks, because a holiday and some stormy weather interrupted them. It also took a while because they paid great attention to detail -- which was great! They cleaned up after themselves each day and took away the trash trailer as soon as they had removed the last of the old siding. I interviewed one other siding company and played phone tag with another. Victor's Exteriors did not have the lowest price, but the rep's ideas about how to proceed were more in line with my thinking. The other company rep just shrugged when I asked how they would handle the way the pergola attached to the house. Victor's came up with a good plan.

Perfect. 6 months later and still happy.
