Turnkey Painting Plus

The painters were very good. The guy that brokered the deal was not the best communicator and we ended up having to buy more paint because the proper prep work wasn't done, due to a communication issue. I wasn't charged for the paint though, which I appreciated. The painters left a mess on the tiled floor however. They did not use drop cloths. That is an issue and I will have to get that cleaned. Overall I would hire them again, but ask that they use some,sort of protection for the floors.

After promising he's sent us a quote we'd really like later the same day, we didn't hear from Bob for 5 days. He then sent a quote that didn't match our prescribed requirements. I followed up with him asking him to make some changes. That was 5 days ago - he simply never replied to my email! I have no idea how he manages to be rated an 'A' overall on Angie's list.

I emailed with Angie, the office manager about just wanting the windows caulked. She said she verified with the boss and he said this was fine. She emailed me the confirmation of the appointment scheduled for four hours of the work to be done. Rolando came out and he immediately had a bad attitude. He said he was here to do the estimate. I told him that was fine, but was not sure why I needed an estimate since I just wanted what the deal stated. I was sure that I verified that they brought a ladder since mine would not reach, also that I was either getting the 2 men for two hours or one man for 4 hours. I even mentioned that if there was enough time left over, I had some additional minor things that I needed done. I wanted to make sure that I could hang my flag for the holiday weekend. She replied that they would have plenty of time to do this. He was back around my house in about 5 minutes to tell me about the estimate. He did not mention the time or anything, but said they could do just the window caulking for the deal of $167. He said they could send some one out next week. I just let him know I would deal with Angie's list about this. I feel like they were just enticing me to purchase this deal by what they were telling me. They did not represent the service of what I thought they would when I purchased the deal. I am now requesting a refund on this deal for the following reasons: I was treated disrespectfully. I also feel that the information was only given to me to entice me to purchase this deal. When he arrived, there was no intention on doing the work today. He was very rude and disrespectful. He even said that I needed to learn how to read the fine print of the deal. I was very offended by this.

I purchased the deal based on misleading information. When I attempted to explain, I was treated in a rude and disrespectful manner. Based on this initial experience, I would not consider approaching this contractor again and I certainly would not do business with them. Requesting a full refund!!!

Rolando handled my inquiry and the job quote. He was very prompt and professional. Ezekiel led the painters' team. They did a great job. The job took longer than we expected, but we were not in a hurry, so it worked out fine. The team was very responsive during the work. Thank you very much!!

I have been having issues coordinating schedules to get the work done.

These are among the best painters we have ever encountered. Because of the weather (extremely heavy rain and flooding in parts of Houston .... twice in one week) we had to reschedule and they were wonderful in making sure the job was completed in time for us to host a tea party for our daughter's class. The courteous gentlemen who performed the work are absolute masters at their craft. My husband painted houses (BIG ones ... in Chicago) to pay for college and medical school and is not easily impressed. Suffice to say, he was beyond delighted with their work. The prep work was cutting edge and the result was absolute perfection. We will, without question, use this outstanding company for all our future needs.

I just bought a house and needed a quote on painting few rooms. Although I end up not hiring this company this time, I absolutely will consider them for future projects. They are outstanding to work with. Punctuality, professionalism, fair pricing, great communication etc. I am so pleased only getting, I can imagine if they would perform the work for me. They were on time, and the only complaint I had is that they off loaded the laminate floor into the garage on a Friday for a Monday installation. Everything I have read on this type of work is they are supposed to place the material inside the building and allow it to normalize to the room temperature of the building. I called when I saw this and they came back on a Saturday morning and moved the material inside. This delayed the project by a day. I suppose this happens all the time in real practice, but a visit to the website for this material made it clear this was the suggested procedure. Bob Dimon was happy to do this once this was brought to his attention. The job was done perfectly and the crew was a great group of people. They did a great job. This job included the floors and closets, and the trim work and all of the transitions from one floor to another look great. I would use him again. he also does painting and faux finish work. Bob told me he would use any type of paint that I wanted for the home. I have not used him for that type of work though.

We had some issues. They fixed them but they kind of wasted my time a little bit because it didn't get done the way they were instructed, but they did fix the issues. I talked to the man who did the pre-walk and described to him exactly what I wanted, as far as the color paint in each room. Even went as far as to put the paint in the rods, and actually separated the colors and left a note on each selection of paint of which paint goes where, in each room. Even left a piece of paper in each room and told them what kind of paint I wanted in each room, and they still messed it up and painted them the wrong color. They still screwed it up. I talked to the pre-walk man who obviously didn't tell the painters or they didn't understand him. It was supposed to be done in two days. Ended up coming back the next couple of days to finish it. Which kind of inconvenienced me a little bit. I talked to the painters directly and they did it but still took some extra days. Well that, and they used more paint than they would have. I would had more left over paint so I kind of was out of some paint. They could have gone to buy extra paint if they needed it, but they didn't. I bought extra paint so they basically used that. I was a little disappointed but they did fix the issue, but communication was just horrible. They did a good job when they finished it, but I would be very diligent in explaining to them what exactly you want done so there is no. Would I recommend them? Yes with an asterisk. I don't think they did a bad job when they got it right, I give them overall a B because of their error. I think they were on time.

They did a great job. Together, we improvised a cool one-of-kind curved pattern that fit the layout of the kitchen perfectly. They were flexible & smart, getting the gist of my idea on the on-the-fly positioning of 4 recessed lights immediately, all of us co-creating the whole way with them doing the professional installation itself. Paying a professional designer would have been a waste of money as we figured out an excellent esthetic solution together.

They were great. The owner came personally to say hello and discuss the progress. All of them, the workman and the owner were nice, smart and even funny. They fixed things that I didn't even think of, fitting it all in the available time and getting more done than I thought likely. There was some technical and even artistic inside-baseball tricks being used that account for the extra progress in the available time.

The Big Deal was $167. I let them know I was in a bit of a rush since I would be putting my house on the market. They said no problem the work could be finished within a day or so after the estimate. A gentleman came out to provide an estimate, said he would email it the next day. I asked for a supply list so I could purchase the supplies in advance. Almost two weeks later, I received an emailed estimate for $1200 for labor only. I have a repairman who had already quoted me $300 including materials. I'll be going with the other guy, not Turnkey.

Pretty well. Owner Bob is down to earth and easy to work with. The job took longer than estimated and we had to oversee the workers...sometimes cutting corners or overlooking an issue. However, once it was brought to Bob's attention he would respond in a timely manner and have the workers fix the issue. We are thinking of having a face-lift on our bathroom and will contact Bob at some point for the job.

When I paid the $167 in advance for the "Big Deal," I naively thought I had bought 4 man hours to replace one rotted board in my atrium. The morning of the scheduled visit, "Angie" from Turnplus called and let me know that someone was on their way to provide an estimate, and not the actual service, which surprised me. The estimator told me that it would cost $267, plus materials, to replace one 3 foot by 6 inch board and paint it, and the board above it which he told me also had wood rot. (In other words, the $167 I had prepaid plus an additional $100.) The second board is about 6 inches by 5 feet. The idea that it would take more than 4 man hours to replace and paint these boards is laughable and ridiculous, and of course I told him that. He looked me squarely in the eye, and said OK, Bye, and he left. I was since told by another service provider that the second board, which the estimator called to my attention, has no wood rot. This experience has really soured by on Big Deals. When I bought the Turnplus Big Deal, I think I should have made aware that I was paying in advance against an estimated price to be given on the scheduled date. I have applied for a refund of the $167 I paid upfront, and I was told it will take 10 days.

Someone came out pretty prompt to do an estimate but the estimate he gave me was way too high for the work that I needed to be done and I felt he wasn't listening to me regarding the price that I had already paid for the services.

Bob Dimon is a fair man with fair prices. He did everything I asked for and went over and beyond. We had some questions about the bill that he took care of for us. He went the extra mile on many things that we asked him to do and never went back on a quote, even if it took him more work than he thought. His countertop work is impeccable. He also has a great eye for design.

Workers arrived on location and immediately began preparing walls for painting. All paint work was done professionally. I am pleased with the work done for the price. Workers were very respectful of my home and family.

They came out to give estimate on painting my apartment, but the deal did not include ceilings or trim and the estimate was $3700 more than the Big Deal. They were professional, punctual and courteous. I have no complaints.

They did excellent work, cleaned up after themselves, and were very easy to work with. I can highly recommend them and will use them again for other jobs!

The provider was friendly, fast & professional. This was my 1st time hiring a painter & the experience was good & I'm calling them today to do some additional work. I would highly recommend Turnkey Painting Plus for all your painting needs.

Foreman came and reviewed the work to bd done. 2 painters arrived as requested on scheduled date. Work was completed by end of work day. I gave this coupon to a friend as a birthday gift and he said that the work was done to his satisfaction.

I had a great experience with Turnkey Painting. Dan came out right on time for an estimate. He was very nice and professional. He was the 3rd company I called to provide me a quote, and it came down to someone "getting me". He knew exactly what I was thinking and wanted as soon as he walked into my door and saw my layout and decor. We then made an appointment to do the work, and his team showed up on time and spent constant attention to every detail throughout the next three days. Omar was the lead carpenter doing the work. He and his team were absolutely wonderful. I provided Omar a photo of the window trim I dreamed of having, and he was able to copy it exactly! I get numerous compliments from my neighbors and now they just have to have it! Omar and Dan truely made a dream come true, this being my first home, and enhancing the value. I have since had plantation shutters installed with a shutter company, and the shutters against the window trim and crown molding make my home look dreamy and cottage style. It is so pretty. Omar and his team are very trustworthy and I felt very comfortable to give him my house key through the duration of the project, while I could go to work. Everyday when I came home, it was a new thrill seeing the progress come together. The quality of the wood and craftsmenship was very impressive. I will be contacting Turnkey Painting for other projects as I continue to upgrade my home. Since they are good, they are extremely busy and have lots of work in the turnpike, but they are worth working with and getting on their schedule. Many thanks Turnkey Painting!
