Description of Work: The provider did multiple jobs to improve the appearance after extensive foundation work especially in the living room and the 2 bedrooms. They also provided labor intensive work on the kitchen cabinets after remodeling by another company. The scope of the work included floating edges of trims, patching a hole, repairing/ scraping loose texture on the sheetrock, applying texture, removing and then reattaching a ceiling fan, repairing and caulking a rotten window frame, caulking the entry doors and painting the kitchen when completed. The living room was severely damaged and the work included scraping loose texture , repairing cracks and floating, repairing a ceiling hole made by plumbers, caulking the entry doors, texturing and painting walls, ceilings and front door. The remaining 2 bedrooms and the hallway required the same work as the previous rooms mentioned. Also, in the master bedroom a repair to a hole in the ceiling made by the plumbers had to be repaired. The price included materials, labor and cleaning up each room as the project for each room was completed. I actually saw the professionals on their hands and knees scrubbing to get any excess dust, paint, etc. that did not fall on the pre- laid and taped brown paper off of the floor. Plus the paint utilized is Sherwyn Williams. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the professionalism, concerns about our property and friendliness of the supervisor, Mr. Rolando Ortiz, and the crew, Mr. Adrian Orduno and Mr. Jorge Chicas. Mr. Ortiz wrote a very detailed contract and would concisely and fairly upgrade the contract as necessary for any additional work as requested by us. Plus he visited the home frequently to inspect the work and get our feedback regarding our satisfaction. Mr. Orduno and Mr. Chicas were timely with arrival, lunch breaks and departure and waited on the last day for their lunch break until real late to assure the work was completed. Both of these men are extremely hard workers. Our house looks so much better because of this team!! We would rehire and refer Turnkey Painting Plus when necessary in the Future!!

+ 6 moreRemodeling is always a stressful process from choices to the financial investment that you have to endure. Dan the estimator was very knowledgeable about remodeling process. To ease my concerns I had met Bob Dimon the owner. Since It was my hard earned money I was worried about picking the right contractors. So before I signed the contract I research, checked references, background check, and even got to see his cabinets he did at his home. Being so careful I was proud that I found honest, kind, knowledgable, and professional contractor. As you can see in my pictures there were so much to do from a total Reno of the master bathroom, kitchen, 2 upstairs bathroom, painting of the entire house, and custom cabinets for a short wife like myself. The only thing that I would have like during the construction the cutting caused dust, AC , and they did not clean afterwards. Other than that they were amazing and I would recommend them 100%. Only 2 1/2 month my house was complete to perfection.
Description of Work: A great transformation of a old 20 year old house to an new modern house with all the custom comforts. We love the amazing home turnkey create for us.

+ 4 moreRolando was punctual and polite. Rotten wood replacement was good. It was all downhill after that. I had to make them come back out on a Saturday because all work wasn't completed yet they were saying all was finished and were already billing me. No caulking had been done and even now only windows, no doors were caulked. They left a lot of debris on the roof and would have left it there if I hadn't insisted they clean it up. They painted two exterior doors with the doors closed so there was an ugly unpainted edge around the doors when I opened them. I had to make them fix that also. Shabby prep work as far as no sanding of rough wood surfaces before painting. I asked Rolando Ortiz how much paint to buy and he said 15 gallons, which I did at Sherwin Williams with a cost to me of $672.55. They sprayed one thin coat of paint on my house, using only six gallons. When I asked about a refund on the paint, Rolando did not tell me that paint stores don't refund if paint has been tinted, and he said Turnkey was only going to give me $224.00, not the full value of the leftover paint. I thought that S-W would take back the unopened 5 gallon container but that is not their policy, and they told me that all painters know that. After calling Sherwin Williams I then called Bob Dimon at Turnkey and he was very rude to me over the phone and criticized me for buying the paint and was unable to control his temper. He went on and on about how they could have gotten a bigger discount than I did. I finally told him that it didn't make any difference how much of a discount I got - what mattered was that they told me to buy 15 gallons in the first place. He was very worked up and he said he was going to take the $400.00 out of Rolando's pay - I guess he was trying to make me feel bad. Then he yelled "I tell you what - I'll give you a thousand dollar refund - how do you like that!!!" He was very angry. I told him that I only wanted what was fair. He finally agreed to a $400.00 refund and I did give them all of the paint. I will never do business with this company again and will certainly not recommend them to anyone.

Once he came out, he said they would not be able to take care of it, because it was too close to glass. He was very courteous and explained why they could not perform the service. I am just requesting a refund.

+ -1 moreSummary:: Did not show up on time Barely used any paint (less than half a gallon for the whole job) and we provided the paint so we know exactly how much was used. Had to point out areas that they must have not even tried to paint (one whole side of the house), and then re-point out several very obvious areas that needed attention. The workers seemed peeved that we pointed out these areas Did not seem to take ownership of the work showing a desire to do a good job No English. Details: Ok. I wanted to like this company. The lady that took the job order was nice. The man that gave me the bid was nice. On the day the work was to happen, they did not show up on time. I guess that would have been okay for some people, but we did not live at our house as we were about to list it for sale and we had already relocated an hour and a half away. I did make the company aware of this too. Instead, 30 minutes before they were to arrive they called to say they were going to be very late. When they did show up, they brought a spray rig to do the trim work. I do have a problem with that. I was given to understand they would be using brushes as I mentioned (and even used hand motions of a brush swishing backwards and forwards) that I just needed the trim only to be painted during the bid so I was led to believe that they would be brushing the paint on. It was only for about 3-4 inches of trim that wraps the house. They charged me $500 for less than 2 hours of some effort. The paint did cover it but it is the lightest amount of paint I have ever seen. The other 2 bids I got confirmed that they would need 4 gallons of paint. We bought 5 just in case. They barely used half a gallon of paint. They only went around once. You can still see where the original paint was chipped and this new sprayed in paint didn't fill in those gaps, they just lightly colored them in. Paint put on with a brush would have properly done it. I'm just so frustrated because this company had what looked like good ratings. I feel like we were taken but there's nothing I can do about it.

They even took a piece of the wood to match the current paint color of our house and it matched perfectly! They showed up on time and completed the work in the time that they estimated. I am very pleased and will use them again in the future for part 2 of our project.

+ -1 moreThis is just a comment about the person representing the company. I thought Jennifer was very nice; however I didn't care for the estimator. I asked him to quote a condo paint job upon arrival. I found the estimator to be a little over barring. He was the type of person that could do everything. He offered to fix everything little thing in my condo and cussed quite a bit in the process. I had mentioned my budget of $1000 due to a kitchen remodel I was going to undertake and he asked about that too. It just came across desperate and aggressive. So I asked him there for a paint quote and by the time we left he wanted to quote me the paint, a kitchen remodel, to repair a floor section and steam clean my carpets. The estimator also told me he installed the carpet in my stairwell in the common area of the building. He just didn't have the right tact. So in my mind he would be difficult to deal with in the event I hired him. No thanks.

+ -1 moreBought the special three rooms for $503, the overall service is good. They didn't allow me to buy the $449 special which has same specification as the $503. They also charged me extra to fixed the nail holes even though the specification stated that they are included. They are on time and did cleanup after work. The quality was good. The material is not included, which is fine, but the estimator from the company asked me to get two 5 gallon buckets of the paint while they only used one 5 gallon bucket. With the other bucket unused and can not be returned, it was a total waste of $130 dollars.

+ -1 moreIt went okay. There were no troubles with scheduling. They charged a lot more to complete the work. The job took two or three days to complete. The technician was supposed to install a new door and frame instead of messing with the old one. He ended up finding an older door in my garage that was broken and hung it up. I went out and bought one myself and had him take down the old one and install the new one.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for four hours of carpentry work. They re-framed an exterior door through the deal.

+ 3 moreIt went well. The crew was super nice and professional. The job last a little longer than I anticipated, but I may have been a lttle anxious too. Only found some minor things after work was complete. But, they were so professional and the house looks so much better, I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. In fact, I am soon.
Description of Work: Remove the sink, faucet and disconnect the water lines, the garbage disposal unit and p-trap from the kitchen area. Remove the countertops and decking from the cabinets; install ¾ inch decking and granite countertops over all the cabinet areas. The granite will be a class I granite and will not exceed 15 dollars per sq. ft. in purchase price. The approximate square footage of the countertops is 36 square feet. This price includes the installation charges for the granite, new under mount sink, the faucet, all water line connections and garbage disposal unit. The homeowner will pay for the sink, faucet, and new garbage disposal if so desired. We will include the rest of the materials to complete this work. Remove the back splash from the Kitchen countertops and repair the sheetrock as necessary. Install new backsplash along the countertops. The backsplash will be made out of tile and the color of the grout will blend properly with the color of the tiles. These costs include all labor needed to complete this project. This quote has a 350 dollar tile budget included in this number Remove and/ or seal over the existing wallpaper from 1 wall of the Kitchen; float the seams and apply texture to match the texture of the walls in the house. Prepare and paint the walls of the Kitchen with any neutral color the homeowner chooses for this project. Remove the existing under cabinet range hood from the Kitchen and install a new vent hood to fit into the existing space properly. The new unit will be similar to the old one and this will not require any adjustments to the cabinets. The homeowner will purchase the under cabinet range hood Remove and replace the trim in the following areas of the house: 2 pieces of 1x6’s at the front window, 1 piece of 1x2 along the bottom part of the window, 1 piece of 1x4 from the window sill at the front of the house, 1 piece of 1x6 at the left side of the front door, 1 piece of 1x4 at the left side of the front door steps and the broken siding at the lower part of the front window. Replace all trim with hardie plank materials. Treat all painted surfaces with mildewcide/bleach solution to kill all mildew, power wash to remove loose dirt, scrape and sand any loose paint around the house, prime the bare wood with exterior grade primer and re-caulk where necessary with 45 year caulk. Prepare and paint the soffits, fascia boards, doors, door frames and the rest of the painted areas of the house and garage with Manor Hall paint from Pittsburgh Paints. The only thing that I would even mention is that the amount of paint that I was advised to buy was way too much, I have over $150.00 of extra paint that I will never use and cannot return.

When the gentleman first arrived, he stated that he could only provide an estimate instead of actually performing the repairs at that time even though he promised this during our phone conversation. What's more is we ended up paying nearly $350 more than we had originally intended, and the work that was done was not what had been detailed in the original discussion. Ultimately, they did good work, but I felt as though I was overcharged for the service.
