Tilo's Landscaping

Tilo and his crew did a fantastic job. They were professional regarding punctuality and quality if work. The price was a bit more than I expected, but Tilo provided a detailed estimate of the work prior to the start of the job. In the end, Tilo and his crew did more than what was included on the estimate with no change in cost. I would recommend Tilo to anyone. If you leave a message and he doesn't call you back, give him a call back. He and his crew are very busy. Once you speak to him on the phone, he will follow through in a timely manner.

This was a complex job and they were always on time in the morning and stayed until dark. We asked for a few changes in the middle of the work and did them without complaint. He also through in a tree trimming and mulching job.

Tilo came out the same day I called him and gave me an estimate. We agreed on the price and he scheduled his crew to come out the next week. He said they'd be able to come Wednesday or Thursday, and they came Thursday. They finished the work in two days, surpassed my expectations and were also neat. Tilo supervised the operation. I asked for a few extra tasks to be done and they were done. Very professional. I highly reccommend them.

Tilo's came over and spent a long time (at least an hour) looking at my back yard and writing down notes of the areas that I asked for help with. He seemed to be more interested in clean up kind of work than actual landscaping. When I asked him for his opinion, he offered to lay cement in an area next to my exising patio. I was looking for landscaping solutions, ideas, and an estimate. This was not accomplised. He did not call back with a quote as promised and to this date I have not heard back from him.

We have worked with Tilo's company for over two years. In addition to providing reliable and excellent weekly lawn service (mowing grass), he and his staff have completed a number of other jobs to help us clean up and shape up our yard which was in disrepair when we bought our home. We have been pleased with each and every aspect of his team's work. We have always felt the bids for special yard projects were very reasonable. The guys that come out weekly to mow the lawn for us regularly go above and beyond by doing little extras here or there--such as, bringing up our trash can from the curb after it has been collected, spraying new weeds that pop up between the driveway bricks, and picking up extra debris I had forgotten to collect after weeding the flower beds. Tilo and his staff are kind and friendly. We would recommend Tilo's landscaping to anyone!

My daughter and her 2 basset hounds had been living with me for over a year. When she and the dogs moved, it was time to revive the landscaping that had become overgrown and damaged mostly due to the dogs. Tilo gave a fair quote and he and his crew came out at the appointed time and worked for 8 hours doing the cleanup, cutting back bushes and trees, weeding, filling in topsoil, planting flowers, mulching and reshaping the beds, and sodding the lawn. He stayed right on budget and he and his crew remained courteous and helpful (they moved a few potted plants and a garden fountain when asked and did not add to the price), and now the yard is once again a pleasant retreat.

Tilo came in to give an estimate and made some suggestions. He had good ideas and his estimate is exactly what we paid. This took 7 people a full days worth of work, they got it done with very little notice, worked hard the entire time and did a fantastic job transforming the yard areas.

They show up when they are supposed to and do the work that I ask. Mowing edging and sometimes trim bushes. They arrive, do their work and clean up after.

Very professional, prompt, accuurate and polite.

We have used Tilo's for our lawn for several years. They are very competent, reliable and professional with reasonable prices.

I had an excellent experience with Tilo's. I called on a Thursday, reached Tilo, and arranged for him to come to my house on Saturday to provide an estimate for the work. He was very flexible, and we agreed that he would come on Saturday between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. He arrived on Saturday at 9:30 am -- this kind of punctuality doesn't seem to exist much anymore! We discussed the work to be done, and Tilo provided some excellent suggestions. When I mentioned that they didn't need to worry about my vegetable and herb garden, which was also full of weeds, Tilo said that his crew could weed it and that they are familiar with garden plants and would know what to do. He gave me an estimate, and said his crew would do the work on Tuesday -- I was really happy to have the work done so quickly. When I arrived home late on Tuesday afternoon, the crew was working hard, and most of the work had been completed. The crew was very nice and very professional. They cleaned up everything perfectly, including hauling away the bags of debris and hosing off the deck, and they took the time to thoroughly water some new plants. The results were fantastic, going beyond my expectations. The garden had been weeded expertly, and someone even tied up a volunteer basil plant that had been lying on its side. In addition, they even added mulch to some potted plants I had on the deck and added soil around some trees that had exposed roots. Hedges were trimmed nicely, and the new plants they chose looked great. When I spoke with Tilo during the estimate, I had a special request to retain the lower branches on some plants I use to block the view of a neighbor's house. Initially, I worried that this might not happen, but care was clearly taken in communicating this to the crew, and the plant was trimmed exactly as I wanted. I have now asked Tilo's to do landscape maintenance once a month, and I am looking forward to seeing the great landscaping continue! I would recommend Tilo's to anyone needing landscaping work.

They did a pretty good job on all the work. They worked really hard and it only took them a couple of days. They were punctual, responsive and I didn't have any problems with the work.

Beyond my wildest imaginations. Tilo and 2 men got every weed out of our 5 front beds and then headed to the back fence. Putting out cones they parked their truck & trailer on the street and went to work. They cut out the dead wood, cut down everything that wasn't oleander, traced the Kudzu to the grown and pulled the roots out. They trimmed the oleander so that a lawn mower could easily cut the curbside, picked up trash and made a ditch between the oleander and the grass so that it would be harder for the weeds/grass to take over again. They raked and bagged all the small stuff. The area was clean, opened and looked great for the first time in almost 10 years. They finished the entire job (front & back) in one day. As in the front, we discussed maintainance and I will spray individual sprouters and he will return with the his crew several times under the same contract to help keep it under control. It doesn't get any better.

I called Mr. Guerrero on May 5 and he came out, measured, and gave me an estimate on the job on May 6, 2009. He sent me a written proposal in the mail and I agreed for the work to be done and when it was to be started. On May 28, 2009, he and 3 workers arrived at 11.15 a.m. and worked until5.15 p.m. Mr. Guerrero left, but his workers worked until 8:30 p.m. They only stopped to eat lunch. On May 29, 2009, Mr. Guerrero and his workers arrived at 12.00 p.m.and worked until 7:45 p.m. On May 30, 2009, the workers arrived at 9:15 a.m. and worked until 4:00p.m. Mr. Guerrero arrived at 2:30 p.m. and worked until 4:00 to complete the job. They cleaned up and left around 4:45 p.m.

Impressively professional beginning to end. I searched Angie's List Monday, called Tilo Tuesday, met him Wednesday for the bid and the job was completed Thursday. It just doesn't get any better than that!!! Tilo was easy to communicate with, clearly understood the job as I described it and was able to give me good advice of additional work which would/could be done that would improve the overal appearance of the final result. He gave me a verbal quote immediately. He told me he had a big job which would take a 1.5 weeks but that he would work me in somehow before that job started the next week. He called me back within hours saying he would be here the next day and devote the entire day to my job. His crew arrived at 7 am and set to work immediately. Good teamwork and they each new exactly what to do. Minimal supervision was required by Tilo and he too, worked all morning with them. He personally did all the trimming using his excellent eye to what and where to cut. They worked all day with a 15-20 break mid afternoon for lunch. They cleaned up all of the trash, put it into bags and took it all way. Brushed the driveway and watered down all the beds. It was a one day transformation from weedy overgrown to a perfectly manicured front yard. All our neighbors made a point of stopping to comment on the change. I got exactly what I asked for to meet our need prior to the holiday weekend guests arrival. I didn't get my long term goal of removing any and all weeds. This became apparent in 3 days. The weed removal was accomplished by basically scraping the earth then removing the weeds not, as I had hoped, by digging them up by the roots either with hoe or roto-tiller. The tenatious grassy type weed (? onion grass ? ) which had taken over 1/2 of 1 bed was back within days. I called Tilo and he explained that this was a hard weed to remove and that he would come back this week to put round-up on them - very carefully. It is now Noon on Friday and I haven't seen him yet. All that being said. I would call him again for any yard work needed. Weeds are weeds. He and his crew are professionals and did a quality job for me.

Tilo's Landscaping was excellent! They had to dig about 3 ft. deep for the drain in the back of my house. It work's great! They were very friendly. They showed up when they said they would, and finished when they said they would. The price was pretty reasonable, considering I have a massive flower bed. They are very busy. You have to leave them a message, and wait for them to get back to you.

I called and left a message on the machine. They did not return the call. If you can connect with them they do a good job,(I had used them several years ago) but I don't have the time or patience to keep calling.

Outstanding! Tilo worked quickly and checked in with us often to ensure we liked his work. We recommend him without reservation.

It took two calls to reach Tilo's as he did not return my first phone call. We made arrangements to meet so to give me an estimate but he did not show up or call on the day we agreed to. I have very little faith in a company who is not responsible no matter how good their work is.

Our average-size yard and flower beds had three no-mow winter months & were overgrown w/ tall grass & weeds. Tilo was the man (with 2 or 3 other helpers) who, although he had short notice, immediately came to the rescue, miraculously weeding flower beds, adding mulch, mowing high grass, trimming bushes (including "big crepe myrtles), bundling clipped limbs and bagging clippings, all enabling an easy pick up by our waste management service. It was a major clean-up that took 5 1/2 hours, just in time for our company to arrive. Our yard has NEVER before been serviced so well. Tilos is pleasant, professional and a joy to work with. He also gave advice on solving our water drainage problem & other suggestions forr the yard. I plan to retain his company on a permanent basis for further landscaping and, if we can get more customers in this area, he will do a weekly maintenance as well. Come on, neighbors! Let's get him before he gets away!

I don't know many people that work harder that Tilo. He and his crew did a great job!

It was a huge job that took longer than he anticipated. He stuck to his original estimate, charging more only for the extra jobs I requested, and charged a fair price for those. Tilo is PROFESSIONAL who treats his customers with great dignity and respect. He does a FIRST CLASS job, and is an extremely creative thinker in how to resolve a problem that seems like something that couldn't be fixed. I will definitely call him back for Phase 2 after we complete the siding and roofing. By the way, because of his fine work in removing all vegetation, including pruning and removing trees, we had absolutely no tree damage from Hurricane Ike. Ours was the only yard on the block with only a few, small, random branches from neighbors trees piled on our front yard.

I had a budget of around $8,000.00. Tilo came out, spent almost 2 hours with me. I liked all of his ideas. He took a lot of notes, was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. He said he would mail a quote to me in a week. After two weeks, I called him and he said he had been out of town and would get the quote to me. I have yet to hear from him. The problem is that I spent two hours of my time on a Saturday with him. (Actually 3 as he was an hour late for the appointment). If there was a problem, or he didn't want the job, I wish he would have just said so up front instead of wasting my time.
