Tilo's Landscaping

He was very nice, compared to others who came out he was $3000.00 higher.

Tilo came out give me an estimate on all the things wanted done. He made some suggestions on which plants to install. We agree on the price. They came out my home that following Friday morning and started the job and by Saturday late afternoon the job was complete.

overall completely negative. Paying 200 for a small yard, smaller than a small bedroom is ridiculous.

No response to request for an estimate. Phone call and message ignored. Obviously unreliable company.

Called, came out following day, had some trouble finding the address, but perfect installation.

Overall it was excellent. They are very professional and friendly. I can set the clock for their punctuality, they are so good. I would use their services again in the future.

Tilo came out as scheduled and we spent about an hour going over the plans. He said he would mail me an estimate. I never heard from him again, which was surprising since it would have been a several thousand dollar job.

After an unsuccessful attempt to have the work done by another service (they were too busy to fit me in apparently) Tilo came out the same day I called. He scheduled the work 2 business days later and arrived with his team. They went above and beyond my expectations, even trimming tree branches and hedges that were not part of his quote for no extra charge. Tilo made reccommendations for the replacement plantings, advice on care. He supervised his team, who were very capable and they did a remarkable job of cleaning the area so much so that you'd never guess they'd been there! His quote was a couple hundred higher than the other service, but he followed through and made sure job was done to my satisfaction. I'm very satisfied and will be calling Tilo again when I put in my patio.

He was a young guy and he was great. He did a whole lot more and he got creative. I didn't tell him what to do because I had no idea. I just told him what needed to be done and he did it. He did it in a couple of days. He had 4 workmen and they dug big deep trenches and laid the pipes. He did a good job. He was excellent. The price was well worth it for all the work he did. He was very professional and I would definitely use him again.

Tilo and his team spent a good part of the day doing the job. The job was done very throroughly. They did not spare on mulch.. and applied it generously. They trimmed the plants and the bushes and did a very good job of it. They cleared up the mess and i did not have to deal with any of that. Love their job...

We got them at first to replace the plants that died. We have them coming every quarter to do cleaning on the beds of the lawn, fertilizing & treatment when required, trimming the shrubs, mulch & top soil when required etc. They are very professional, punctual, available; quick and do very good work. They are quality oriented. When you ask for Tilos Landscaping, you'll have Tilo there. Tilo himself is a super guy and he really cares; that's the thing that really impresses me the most. He really cares about the quality of work and what the finished product looks like, that's pretty rare with anyone else. You call him out to one thing and he sees something that is not quite right. He raises an issue and asks if we want to do this and most of the time we say yes. We noticed that usually he's right. He once pointed out during the quarterly maintenance that one area of the lawn was brown and when we got to look on it closely, we noticed that the sprinkler was not hitting the grass as it was too high. He got his men to dig some part and position the sprinkler accordingly to make it work well. I tried to give him extra $20.00 and he refused taking it, he said that it didn't take a long time and its all fine. His work looks great and the price is pretty much in line with the market and sometimes on the low side, very reasonable. Most of them just want to finish their work quickly by leaving a patch there and here in your lawn but Tilo is someone who is refreshing to take care of your yard. He and his men gets to work for about an hour, puts in extra effort, care and end of it walks away with a great work on my lawn.

My experience with him was wonderful. He was really good. He came and did everything. He was there when he said he was going to be. He did everything the same day and cleaned up everything. We couldn?t have asked for anything better. We would use him again in the future.

Contacted Tilo for an estimate on Monday 8/23. He made an appointment to be here on Tuesday between 7:30 and 8:30 am and was here at 8am. Gave me an estimate to pull all the weeds in beds and complete the standard lawn work. Said they would be here Wednesday and they were on time! They even pulled the weeds in any flower pots and took away all the bags of grass and weeds. I was very happy with their work and will refer them to my neighbors.

He seemed like a great guy and very easy to work with. I haven't decided on a company to use at this point. I've been busy with other things.

Left two calls looking for an estimate and emailed with overview of project need - never responded in any way. Consequently, we gave or job (and $1600) to another company.

Did not return my call requesting a quote.

He came on the same day and provided that quote. When I agreed for the work to be done, his crew was there on the following day bright and early to have it done. They took two days to finish the job but the job was done well and they cleaned after themself. I later found that in the process of digging out the garden to lay the new pipes, they burst one of hte pipes for the sprinkler system. I rang Tilos and on the following day he came out and fixed the problem the following day. He also checked my other sprinkler head and ensured that the rest of the systme was working well - without additional charge. I would recommend Tilo to anyone - he is professional and provides value for your money.

Tilo was great! He came out the same day I called and gave me an esitmate on my lawn of $25.00 per visit which is more than reasonable. His team is punctual and friendly and did an excellent job. I will continue to use Tilo and his team for my monthly lawn maintenance.

Our backyard patio (inside a U shape of the house) had settled and was holding water when it rained. I called Tilo for an estimate on a french drain and he came out the next morning. We walked both the back and front yards and he gave several suggestions. I asked that he provide quotes on many items to see what all my budget could handle. In a couple of days I received his estimates, broken down as line items as I requested. We opted to have the french drain installed, replace a 10 foot section of sidewalk that had buckled due to tree roots, clean out existing beds and create new ones including soil,mulch and plants, replace a gravel walkway to the gazebo and lay sod. We scheduled a start date for the following week, and he and his team showed up promptly and began to work. I couldn't believe how much was done in just the first day! The whole project took 2 days and we were amazed how quickly they worked. The french drain works like a charm, carrying water from the patio, around the garage, and out to the curb. The new sidewalk is no longer a liability and the landscaping looks neat and refreshed, as the beds were restructured and rocks added along the foundation. The flowers added so much color and the new lilac azaleas are gorgeous! Tilo was very easy to work with, and accomodated some last minute changes for me. I had purchased a water fountain since we first talked which required an outdoor electrical outlet. He installed that for an additional $100 and set up the fountain. I decided to transplant some existing plants rather than puchase new ones for now, which they did. They cleaned up each day and left the yard looking great. I would defintely recommend Tilo and wouldn't hesitate to call him when I'm ready to do my next landscape project.

My backyard was so overgrown that the grass alone came up to the middle of my thighs. Tilo's Landscaping appeared promptly and managed to clear out all of the overgrowth as well as all of the trees, vines, banana trees, brush, plants killed by the winter freeze, and my barely visible vegetable garden area. He and his work crew trimmed crepe myrtles, brought in top soil to raise the vegetable garden area, filled in some low areas with topsoil and mulch, took down a tree I know longer wanted, and created beds throughout the yard. Tilo also cleaned up my front yard without extra charge and hauled away the huge amount of brush, wood, leaves and grass leaving a perfect canvas for spring flowers. Tilo and his crew were very polite and professional. I will definitely continue to use his company throughout the year to finish my dream backyard.

I was out of town and called Troy of T&E Home Improvements to help protect and cover our plants. His crew wasn't available but Tilo of Tilo's Landscaping called his men and Troy agreed to supervise. I was totally impressed as Tilo was out of town and put the call out to his men late that night. He call us at 11:00 to confirm they would do the job !! They all arrived the next morning at 7:00 and using our supplies covered and secured everything in the front, back and side yards. All covers were so well secured that the plants were still protected when I returned home 3 weeks later. Tilo's men did a professional job, minimal supervision. Tilo has reason to be proud of them. We were. I will continue to use them for all our yard needs.

I met with Tilo in November 2009 to discuss extensive front yard landscaping. I expected him to provide a landscape plan with suggested plantings and an estimate of cost. He showed very little interest in my yard, and had little to suggest in the way of a plan or recommended shrubs/plants. He was to get back with me with an estimate. Have not heard from him yet.

Called twice asking for Tillo to call me back to discuss some substantial landscape work that I needed done. I have not received a call back as of this date. (1/18/10)
