Tilo's Landscaping

Went above and beyond helping me load some stuff out to the truck. And they were very good with the price for over 2 hours of yard work between 3 guys.

Very well. Mr. Tilo's voice mail was full the first time we called but we got through the second time and everything was arranged very efficiently. The job itself went well.

No response to several messages for a quote.

Despite the fact that I read previous reviews on Angie List stating that Tilo was slow to respond to requests and did not return calls, I called him and he called me back within the hour. He was able to come to my home the next day to assess the work that I needed done which included fence repair, landscaping clean up, spraying a sick plant with insecticide, power washing, patio expansion, etc. He said that he would provide me with a writen estimate in a few days. It has been almost 3 weeks now and I have left 3 messages for him and he has not returned any of my calls. I guess he does not need the work or want it. But at least return my calls and let me know something or that you need more time.

We didn't use Tilo's Landscapings because he didn't have the insurance we wanted him to have. Liked his ideas and really wanted to use him. .His estimate was close to ABC Landscaping. Called Native Texas but they haven't called me back.

They were able to come at short notice the first time. They didn't pick up the check I left for them on the deck. When I called I was told to just pay them next time as I had already scheduled another visit in two weeks. They did not come on the tuesday I had scheduled them for but did come the next afternoon and again did not take the new check. They do a great job, I'm just having a hard time paying them for it!

Tilo and his crew arrived about 30 minutes late (they were scheduled for 10:00 a.m., but they quickly made up for lost time.) Tilo explained he had to gather their materials, and this caused a slight delay. The crew is a hardworking one, working tirelessly in the hot sun for over three hours. When they finished, my flower beds and pot plants looked great. I used Tilo's landscaping last year as well, and they did a great job then too. I am so glad I found a company that is reliable and doesn't think that mulching flower beds is too insignificant for them to do as many other landscape companies do who want only large jobs where customers spend more money.

Owner was very professional but their price was too high and we went with someone else.

Tilo and his crew are very dependable and polite. They do a great job with our lawn. Three of our neighbors are now using them also and another asked for their number last week.

I waited for a week and called him back to leave a voicemail. He never called me back. I called back in a couple of days and left another message. He still never called me back to give me an estimate. Wasted my time waiting for him at home. Very unprofessional.

Left a message regarding lawn service on a Monday. Today is Friday and still no call back.

I called on a Saturday and he came to give the quotes same day, and said they could start on Monday, in two days. I asked for an estimate on mulching the beds, trimming the shrubs, and lawn care. He gave very reasonable quotes. The crew showed up when he said they would and spent an hour on the lawn. They took the clipping with them and left the yard looking wonderful.

Arranged for a quote. It is and was important to us the time frame be to schedule as the work was in Houston and we were travelling in from Dallas, which I had explained. Unfortunately my husband waited around and there was a no show. I called and spoke to Tilo who said he was going to be a further 30 mins this would have been an hour and half after our arranged time. Its not acceptable and encouraging that the work would have been done on time if you cant even get to the quote appointment on time. Very disappointing.

I didn't use their services. I contacted them for an estimate. They were on time however they promised me that they would email me the quote but they never followed through. The guy seemed pleasant and knew what he was talking about but since I didn't use them for the service and they didn't even bother emailing me the estimate, that's all I can rank the review on.

Called this company for an estimate for some landscaping in my backyard. The gentleman came by looked everything over and said he would provide an estimate for the job via e-mail. He never sent the estimate nor has he called to explain what happened.

Sometimes he's a little hard to get a hold of, but the work is top notch, professional and thorough. We have him out typically once a month since our yard is so small.

After the onsite visit Tilo informed me that he would send me a quote via email in a day, it took about three business days. He ended up not being the right fit for me on this project as the time table he proposed seemed a bit long but I would definitely consider using him if I had another landscaping project.

Tilo was wonderful! We got estimates from two different people and decided to go with Tilo due to the Angie's list reviews. My neighbor also went with Tilo and he did an estimate for my house when he did her house. i happened to be at work that day but he provided a written estimate and reviewed it on the phone with me. I was home when his guys were doing her work and he walked through with me and discussed his thoughts. My husband was still at work but also wanted to meet with Tilo and Tilo came out AGAIN that night to meet with my husband and integrate his opinions. On the day the work was being done we were both at work but Tilo called in the middle of the day to check in. When I got home it was pouring on and off and the guys came out and did work in between storms, otherwise they sat in their truck. They stayed until 9pm to get all the work done. Tilo walked through it with us (my husband and I separately without complaint) including a bunch of extra things he did without charging us. For example, he had to add a sprinkler head because the landscaping he installed went further than the existing sprinkler would spray. He moved some of our front plants to the back which was not in the original estimate. The guys trimmed the trees that were touching our roof in the front, which also was not in the estimate and we weren't charged for. When they were done we had a beautiful front landscaping, including multiple plants, rows of plants with flowers as well, putting my existing rose bushes upright (they were falling over) and planting a tree. It is great! He also was not in a huge rush to be paid and came back two days later to be paid at our convenience. The only negative is that when trying to arrange an initial meeting it was hard to get in touch with him, as he is on the job and his voicemail was sometimes full. I called a few times and he called back when he could. This was not a problem when it came to the work being done, and he was here on and off that day. I only gave a B for price because I think it is shocking to spend so much on landscaping, BUT that isn't Tilo's fault, just my inexperience in this area. His estimate was not different from the other one we got in terms of price, so I'm sure it is fair. I will use Tilo again.

men Tilo and his two-man crew arrived at my house about 10:00 a.m. on 5/21/12 and immediately began working. The job took longer than expected, but there was a lot of work to do. The men worked steadily and completed the job at 1:45 p.m. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of their work. They take pride in doing a good job and clean up thoroughly after they have finished the job. What a difference their work has made on my back patio and front walkway! I definitely plan to use Tilo's Landscaping again. Jeannine HornHouston, Texas

Tilo met with us, listened well to what we wanted, and made recommendations when asked. He was pleasant, professional and knowledgable. We received the estimate six days after our initial meeting and were pleased that it accurately reflected the conversation from our initial walk-through. The crew was diligent and professional. They worked efficiently and completed the work in less than two days. They did an excellent job, and we were particularly impressed with the thoroughness of their cleanup each day. Tilo was present for part of each day to check the work.

Tilo responded to my bid request the same day and arrived on time. I asked for a bid to resod quite a bit of my front yard (we have a large corner lot) and a strip beside my driveway. I also asked for landscaping around an oak tree, plant another entire flower bed and cleanup and landscape overgrown areas in my yard. I knew his ideas would work around the oak tree because it's mostly shade and he suggested ferns and gingers that I knew would work well there. It took a little over a week to receive the bid but it's spring and he's so busy it's understandable. He and his crew showed up as planned and Tilo himself weedeated all the areas where the sod was to go. Sand was put down in all these areas and sod was planted. His crew did a GREAT job cleaning up the beds, planting 30 or so plants, as well as mulching, I was so happy with what I was seeing I had him clean up the beds and mulch in my backyard as well. He also repaired my broken sprinkler system basically rebuilding the backyard valves. He was there 99% of the time and made sure his crew was doing everything that was requested. They also mulched the potted plants in the front and back. We are VERY satisfield - so much so that I fired my current lawn guys and have replaced with Tilo's crews.

I called other landscapers you gave me and there was a waiting list. However, when I called Tilo's, he was out that day to give me an estimate. It was a good one and included trimming all my bushes, cleaning flower beds and pruning hedges and ground cover and sega palms that had overgrown. I have a regular yardman who is supposed to do that and he has never done that. The two men worked from 9:00 am in the morning until 5 pm. It looks so nice. I would call them again in a minute. I have been charged a lot more for only the mulching.

Tilo was a no call no show. I believe when I informed him that my regular lawn guy had cleaned out my flowerbeds and all I needed was a mulch and spread job, he decided that this may have been to small of a job to even come out. This is really a shame because if he had of came and did a good job my husband and I was needing more work that he also provides such as driveways and other things. Thanks alot Tilo for helping us make wise choices on were we should spend our money.

So far, I am pretty pleased with them. The only thing I have negative to say is that he waited until Monday morning to tell me they are on their way. They showed up on time. They have worked the entire time. The owner is very knowledgeable.

They did a very nice job by clearing the ground. They explained everything to me. All the work was done in 3 days. I was advice to take down a couple trees. The crew is very hard working. He did quality work. I think they went above and beyond. They did a really great job.
