Tilo's Landscaping

Tilo's Landscaping has been mowing our lawn for more than a year now, and their work has been exceptional. They are very reliable about showing up once a week. If for some reason they can't come, Tilo calls and tells us. They always do a very good job. This is the best lawn-mowing outfit I have encountered. Cost is $25 per week.

They are completely reliable. They show up when they say they will. If there is a traffic jam they will call and let you know they will be late. The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality of work they do. They are really nice people. Tilo is a gardener too, so he can do landscaping as well. He is a business man and a really nice person. In addition to the above comments from 2008, I want to emphasize that all work is done in exemplary fashion and for very fair pricing. I know all the crews by name, since they have all worked for Tilo's Landscaping for years. This gives me complete confidence and a feeling of security as they work around my home. Additionally, they are all just really nice guys. I'm not sure whether Tilo actually holds these credentials officially, but he is every bit a Master Gardener - not just a "yard guy." He knows plants and trees, including what will do well, where. He listens carefully to what you want and his designs and work reflect your wishes. Over the years, our family's relationship with Tilo has become one of friends, although he remains every bit the professional. I really couldn't recommend him more.

He was on-time, he gave an estimate ahead of time and he worked on the job until it was completely finished. He was also a very nice gentleman. I would definitely hire him again.

I called several times but never got a call-back. ($50)

He returned call promptly, was extremely professional throughout initial estimate, walked with me through the neighborhood to see plants I liked, did very detailed estimate, did work faster than I expected (took him 1 day to finish another job, and did mine in 2 days.) It looked far better than I envisioned when complete.

This was a smooth pleasant experience. We had to have this work done quickly, and Tilo returned our initial call promptly. He showed up the next morning to give us an estimate, and started work the very next day. We had some contractor overlap, and Tilo was very accommodating, working around the other workman's schedules, and even volunteering to come back on a Saturday if needed to finish in time. The work was done very well, Tilo is very professional and we highly recommend him. He does landscaping work as well as fencing and deck work. We will definitely use him again when we redo our upper deck.

He seems very professional and nice but his estimation was too high (much higher than expected). Therefore, I did not hire him. However, if he had given me a competitive price, most probably I would have hired him.

The finished job is so well done that I now have a backyard I can use. It's a very small area and was just a mess before they redid it. I would hire him again in a minute if I needed any landscaping done large or small. His prices were great compared to the other bids I got.

He and his three employees did a superb job, working all day on what had to be the hottest day of the year, without complaint and with few delays. He has a deep knowledge of landscaping and a professional manner. He originally estimated the job would take half a day; it took a full day, but he didn't try to renegotiate the fee (we paid him extra on our own, though).

Tilo and his crew showed up on time and worked a full day. Throughout the day Tilo gave us good suggestions that improved the overall design of the flowerbeds and checked frequently with us to make sure work was performed to our specifications. They ran out of mulch at the end of the day, but came back first thing the next morning to complete the job. Tilo's crew cleaned up after their work. No advance payment required. Invoice was mailed after job was completed.

Tilo's did a great job, he was on time and professional. He was very quick and cleaned up nicely. You can tell he takes pride in his work and he is very cheap. He always makes sure he communicates with you to fulfill your needs.

I agree with one of the other ratings that said he must not need the business. I'll call someone else.

In the winter, I have Tilo's come out only once, every two weeks and I like the fact that he never insists on coming every week, when I don't need it like some of the other companies do. I believe it is Tilo's brother and two other workers who come as a crew and they are very respectful, quick and efficient. They make suggestions when warranted and doesn't charge me extra, for that type of work. When it is his suggestion to do something else, he says it is included in the price. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Everything went very well. We meet on a Saturday and I got an estimate. I called back about a week later and they started the work the following Friday. They were on time and very professional. I plan on having them back in the fall to trim the trees in my backyard and remove some more plants. The yard was in really bad shape. With the help of Tilo I hope to be enjoying me back yard in the fall. I can only afford to do it in phases. He is very understanding of price limits and will work with you.

They did not have and were unable to provide any documentation for insurance. If anything were to happen, I was not going to take the hit, so I did not hire them.
