DO NOT use Roadrunner for your residential move!! We hired them to pack and store our belongings during a house remodel. They badly scratched several pieces of fine furniture, broke the legs off a sofa and an antique chest, crushed the skirts on all our upholstered pieces, left a 6-inch tear in the silk upholstery of another chair, crushed two lampshades, lost hardware necessary to reassemble our bed frame and two other case-good items, crushed a custom-made 36” Leontine Linens bolster pillow, and more. The total on our claim for damages was more than $15,000; after four months of waiting, they offered only a $337 settlement. What a joke! These people are incompetent and outrageously arrogant; the company owner Robert McGowen actually called my husband an a**hole on the telephone. His general manager Ben Breedlove dodged emails and phone calls for months; and sales rep Trevor Teykl couldn’t follow through on his promise that “Roadrunner will take care of you”. Spare yourself the heartache and hire another mover.

This was my first experience using a professional moving company and everything related to the move was perfect.  Roadrunner provided a quote on a Tuesday afternoon,  a team packed the entire house on Wednesday and sent a crew of eight men, an 18 wheeler and another truck and moved the contents to our new address on Thursday.Every member of the moving team was courteous and polite and went beyond or expectations to ensure we were happy. Our move include many antiques, delicate and rare item include art and other large items and there was no damage to anything.  Another pleasant surprise was the final invoice that was actually lower than the original quote.

They packed and moved my house full of furniture.
It took three trips of a medium sized
truck. They were very efficient and nothing was
broken during the move. They were very hardworking
and very capable.

The price seemed right when they quoted. They are close to my house so that should help lower the price. Twice during the move they came up with a reason for a price increase. One was to carry a not large piece of furniture up a flight of stairs. They did virtually no protection in the van and ended up breaking a phonograph. Very unhappy.

They were excellent! They arrived on time and completed the move in less than the estimated time. The final bill was about $100 lower than the original estimate. The crew was professional and nothing was broken. I would not hesitate to use them again.

From beginning to end they were very professional and caring. The movers went through the house and explained clearly what they were going to do and then began promptly to do it. The company arranged for crating a valuable antique chest of drawers. They covered our hardwood floors at both orgin and destination to avoid damage. All furniture was very securely wrapped and padded and we've not found anything damaged. When they packed something they did it carefully and thoroughly and labeled it clearly. We were impressed with the systematic way they wrapped and kept track of cords, connectors, loose parts, etc to make sure they could reassemble stuff at destination. They allowed me to unpack my gunsafe, loaded the safe on the truck, reloaded the padded and cased guns in the safe and then reversed the process at the other end. At the end of each day they asked if there was anything they could do for us before leaving (both wife and I have physical limitations). They were considerate of us and left certain items in place as long as possible for us to use. From the pre-move information to the final unloading, they were thorough, caring, and considerate. They did a great job of helping us get through a very stressful process. Although I hope never to move again, if we did we would not hesitate to call on them to do the job. They are an Atlas company and, although the literature and forms we received were from Atlas, the local company was our contact.
