Plumbco

I contacted Gary (the owner) at 9am on 20 Oct. 2013, when I found water leaking from my celling and light fixtures over my wet bar area. Initially Gary was booked solid but I offered my number in case there was a cancelation, or a job went fast. Truth be told, he was so good on the phone that I was hesitant to call anyone else. He called back at 9:45 and said he could fit me in because of a quick fix, that ended up just down the street from me, and thought he would be able to see me at around 11:45 or Noon. Gary showed up at 11: 48 ready to work. At this point I am glad I waited he shows up shakes my hand, and gets right to work. He inspects the visible damage for 20 seconds or so and then has me lead him to the attic. After searching for 20 min. for the location of the leak Gary says he can't find it and says he might have to go through the celling to get at it. I tell Gary that I would like to avoid this at all costs and he agrees it's not the best solution and agrees to keep searching. 10 min later Gary calls me up (no joke) he found a hidden space to get further back and he has located the leak, which is squirting a thin, continuous stream of water. there is no lolly-gagging with Gary, he admits this is a bigger fix then he can handle, because the rotted pipe has to come out. When he comes back down he has a plan of action and has given me three options to chose. I chose to have the leak clamped, and have him come back out late next week for the full job. I pay half up front, and will pay the next half upon completion of the job. Gary Is a true Professional, worthy of his high praise. I would recommend him without hesitation, and will also use him for my rental homes.

Gary went above and beyond to explain to me the work him and Andy were going to perform. He answered many questions before I even told him I was going to go with Plumbco. Him taking the time to help me understand the differences between his quote and that of another plumbing company who was trying to charge me 4 times what he charged me, made me feel comfortable that by going with Plumbco the work was going to get done well and not drain me of any unnecessary funds. Gary and Andy arrived promptly at the time we had agreed to and took care of the job in about 1 hour, which was great so I could return to work quickly. Afterwards they even gave me some tips on how to prevent from having to get more plumbing repairs done in the future. I didn't expect that, but I was very thankful for the tips.

An example of great customer service: Called today to see if Gary or one of his coworkers could come by and take a look at our disposal, which had stopped working a few days ago. Never having had to deal with it before, I was unaware how easy the solution was, and rather than take advantage of the situation, Gary talked me through the basic steps over the phone. No charge. My disposal works again and I've found a plumber I can truly trust!

We called to arrange an appointment and obtained one that same day. Service technician arrived as scheduled and quickly replaced leaking parts. Very professional and polite, service provided immediately. Price was good value.

It went very well. Plumbco owner, Gary Bloch, did the work. I called on Tuesday and he was here the next day. This is a family-owned business with attention to detail and I really liked that! The work took about an hour once he determined the problems connected with the meter leak. I also felt that his prices were very reasonable. Labor was 297. The copper-reinforced connection part was a high end product and it cost $40. Worth the money for the quality of the product and this is not a component usually found in a plumber's van. I have already scheduled Plumbco for an additional plumbing problem that needs to be fixed.

I had a plumber out from another popular company who could not figure it out. I had to call the city to shut off the water after the other plumber came out. I then called Plumbco to fix the pipe. Randy came out at the time promised, looked it over, gave me a reasonable quote which I agreed to. He fixed the pipe by replacing it. He had to work several hours and he was very professional. I will call Plumbco again in the future for any plumbing issues. They were great!

Had searched Angieslist.com for a plumber in the Bellaire area (looked for an independent business, not a chain) Gary Bloch of PLUMBCO was a great find (nice natured straightforward professional throughout repair) Arrived on time; very large identifiable PLUMBCO vehicle outside (wore protective shoe covers on entry) Immediately after looking at work to be done gave a written flat-rate cost for signature authorization (that was so refreshing to have a cost amount clear at outset) On finishing, Gary made a final check of all work done before acceptance signature of his work (flat-rate cost remained unchanged despite additional effort needed) Having had various experiences with plumbing companies over a 20-yr period, I'd rate PLUMBCO the tops (shall be the plumbing company I call in the future)

He called to ask if it was okay that he came by early. He and his partner completed the work quickly and neatly and even went above and beyond, replacing the intake hoses without charging me extra. The price was exactly what was quoted and he gave me a magnet with his business information to keep on the fridge. All in all a great experience.

Gary arrived on time and figured out the problem right away. Apparently I have a lesser known brand of shower hardware so he did not have the part with him, so he had to run to the store to pick it up. He came back very quickly and fixed my shower. The part was expensive, but I do not feel like I over paid. My towel rack happened to be falling off my wall and I jokingly asked Gary if he had the tools to fix that as well. He surprised me that he did and quickly fixed that for me too! I will use absolutely use Plumbco again. Highly recommended!

We recently rented an old home with several ongoing issues. One evening both toilets started malfunctioning and leaking within minutes of each other. I called Gary in a panic next morning and, despite the obvious busy Friday schedule he had, Gary came over within the hour. He and his partner fixed both toilets and were just a pleasure to deal with. Gary is an incredibly personable human being who, when he learned that we were brand new Houstonians with a young family, took the time to give me and my wife great tips about the city. I have his card on our refrigerator now and will be sure to call if we ever need a plumber. I totally get his high ratings on Angie's List - this guy deserves it!

Gary is easy to get hold of, willing to make appts. Went over the repairs, took the time to look at another bathroom and water heater.

The plumber came over to look at a leaky shower stall. He advised, after a thorough inspection, that I needed to call a glass company, and gave me the address of one. When I asked about the cost (he was at my address for about 20 minutes) he said we would work that out on the next call. Overall very professional.

I had an earlier experience(the same day) with another plumber,someone I had used before, who determined my old faucet was unrepairable, & told me I needed to purchase a new one,After he left, I called Plumbco. Gary,the owner, came right over(within an hour), & replaced my old faucet with a new one.The $180 charge included the service call.

We had a mainline stoppage issue over the weekend. When we flushed the toilet in our guest room, the dirty stuff showed up in the bathtub. We first contacted our home warranty company and the contractor showed up saying that the problem was complicated and quoted us $245 just to remove that toilet for a clean-out which was not covered by the home warranty. The contractor said if they couldn't solved the problem by removing that guest room toilet, they would continue to remove the other two toilets in our house and quoted $90 for each additional one. When I asked for an estimate for the total cost out of our pocket, they said it depends and if they could not solve the problem through all the toilets, they needed to looked for somewhere else. With that experience, I decided to find a plumber myself. I found Plumco through Angie's list and found that they are located just in my neighborhood. I called Gary at 10am in the morning, his technician showed up at around 11, and solved the problem within 10 minutes. He did not touch any toilet at all. I would definitely use Plumco in the future, as Gary and his team are so prompt, experienced and professional.

We had had problems with the old toilet for some time: losing water and stopping up with some regularity. When I could not reach our previous plumber and didn't want to use Church because of the expense, I looked on Angie's List as well as our local community newspaper. I used Angie's list to evaluate several of the companies who had newspaper ads - and Plumbco got the highest reviews. Within 2 hours of my call James of Plumbco was knocking on the door. He was very friendly with our 2 barking dogs. He evaluated the situation (as described above). When I decided to go ahead and replace it, he offered several alternatives and discussed the merits and disadvantages of each. We went with the Kohler Cimarron, which exceeds the national standards for low flow toilets (1.28 gallons per flush vs government's required 1.6), had a good appearance, a delay in lid closure and a higher pedestal for comfort. I was surprised at how quickly and quietly James finished the job. He left the area very neat and clean. His estimate was right on target and I even got a discount because of Angie's List! What's not to like?

Called to get my toilet unplugged. The technician (James) came and tried manfully to unplug it with an auger but could not get it clear..He was going to try more extensive procedure. Meanwhile the neighbors came over and said that they had had a similar problem and the fault was in the sewer line and the condo management company would take care of it. So the Plumbco technician cleaned up all his tools and left, charging me even less than his original quote for the auger work. He was most pleasant and professional all the while.

This went far better than I could have expected. I had been putting this off for a while because I dread working with plumbers. After doing some research on Angie's List the first company I called said we lived too far away (despite putting Houston as a service area). I then chose these guys. They were attentive and polite on the phone. They said they could come the same day. They called about three hours later to say they were on their way. Very polite at the door, gave me an awesome price, explained the issues, with my permission they fixed the issues and were gone in a little over an hour. This was the best interaction I've ever had with a plumber. He said there is a 90 day warranty. He didn't mind showing me where the main water shut off was and was super respectful and actually funny. A+++

I have been calling multiple plumbers looking for someone to perform hydrostatic pressure testing on a home on which we currently have an option pending. Although the man I spoke to informed me they do not offer such services, he was able to refer me to two different companies who do, and look up their contact information for me. He continued to be kind and professional to the people around him in person while talking with me. If I ever need plumbing services this is who I will be calling. Thanks!

I called them one afternoon and described what the problem was. Gary was very responsive and said they would be out the next day. They came as promised and took care of my clogged drain. I would definitely recommend Plumbco and would use them again for any of my plumbing issues.

i contacted gary at plumbco after another plumbing company had not done a satisfactory job cleaning out my main sewer line. he was at my house within 30 minutes of my call, fixed the problem with my main sewer line in an efficient professional manner, answered all my questions and left me a satisfied customer. i highly recommend his services, he knows what he's doing!

They did a nice job and were very prompt. I called them in the morning and they showed up in the afternoon. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves because they created quite a bit of mud when they dug up the hole. I went with them because I looked on Angie's List and saw that they had exemplary scores and weren't too far away from my residence.

We had a clogged shower drain. We contacted another plumber first who told us that the exterior lines needed to be replaced at a cost of $28,000! Plumbco came out the next day and was able to clear the line in a couple of hours for $450. Gary was friendly and professional. It has been over a month and we have not had any repeat problem. We will definitely use Plumbco if we ever have any plumbing related issues again.

They did a great job with the previous job and we had no issues. The call that they made the last time was complimentary. They did what they would do and they charged us what they said they would charge us. They were great.

Gary was fantastic. He even puts on little shoe covers like the doctors wear in surgery to keep from getting our floor dirty! He is neat, expert, and professional. I can't say enough good things about his work. I plan to use him whenever I need plumbing services. Frankly I would have given him an A+ but it is not on the list.
