Plumbco

Went right to work and fixed one item at a time. Took less than 45 minutes. We have used Plumbco for over a year. have referred them to my neighbors.

arrived on time, completed work, advised on how to avoid this in the future, submitted invoice.

Prompt, straight to the point service. The main drain that the primary A/C condensate line drains to was backed up. Tech came out and within 15 minutes had the line cleared. Two other Angies list providers had come out previously. The first plumber couldn't even find the drain line. I called another company, explaining that I needed a plumber and they sent an A/ C tech. He called in a plumber, who came out later that evening without any proper tools to do the job. He came out the next day and tried to sell me their "membership" before he told me the $274 price tag for snaking the line. After spending a good 4-5 hours snaking and sitting in his van, he told me that he would have to reroute the line to the outside. Initially he stated that it was included in the price and would cost no more. Later he came up with a price of $1150 for the reroute. After I said thanks but no thanks, I called Plumbco who, as stated, fixed the problem in 15 minutes for $185. Happy camper here.

Gary Bloch called at 10:25 saying he would arrive in a few minutes. He and apprentice Nick soon arrived. He assessed the problem and soon set to work. He removed both the old sink drains and the dispose-all, then replaced them with PVC, making sure they fit snugly into the sinks. He taped off the electric wires that went to the disposer-all and connected the dishwasher drain in the appropriate place. They used good putty and connector glue/sealant everywhere it was needed. Nick cleaned up the floor and they took away every piece of old pipe and the dispose-all. The job was finished by 12:00.

Call Gary Bloch on a Saturday, they were working in the neighborhood and came within an hour. No additioanl Saturday / weekend fee. Got my drains flowing and detected an issue and suggested clearing the lines via waterjet. I agreed and Plumco arranged for the water jet company, Hydro Services Houston, to come out and jet my lines as part of the fee I already paid Plumbco. Hydro Services was also great and I was very happy and my old sewer lines are draining well still a year later.

The owner, Gary, came to my house twice. The first time, he evaluated my plumbing problems, and told me the parts I needed to purchase. The second time, he installed the parts. He arrived when he had scheduled the visit, he called that morning to let me know he was coming, he and his assistant wore booties inside the house, and he did a very professional job. Solved all my plumbing problems at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Gary and if I have any plumbing issues in the future, would go to him again.

I found plumbco on Angie's list after hearing some recommendations for them earlier in the summer. I called Gary (owner) and he promptly answered the phone and told me that he could have someone come out the same day. I have to say we were very pleased that he was so accommodating because it seemed as if he had a pretty busy schedule. Gary did not come but he sent his team out and they came exactly within the time frame given and looked at the garbage disposal. There was something minor wrong so the guy just looked and took out the problem and it was fixed! It took him all of 10 minutes tops to access and fix the problem. He even gave some advice on how to keep the disposal running at top performance. Why I will use them again and recommend them is because Gary tries his best to accommodate and he is more than generous with pricing and mainly because he was very honest with us. Honesty in business dealings is crucial for us and is the only way that we could recommend someone. Gary's team came out and honored the free consultation and did even more than that! The guys didn't have to take out the little piece of plastic as this was just a consult but they did and the disposal was fixed! Yes, I will recommend Gary and Plumbco and will surely use them again. Plumbco came out and installed a clamp on a leaking water line in the attic. The clamp is a temporary fix as all leaking pipe should be replaced because once a pipe as developed a leak, it's integrity is compromised. The price for the clamp installation was a reasonable $275.00 and I was quoted $452 to replace the pipe. The work was done in a clean, timely fashion. I will also be given half of my money back for the cost of the clamp job when the pipe is replaced. Good work.

I called Gary, and in less than an hour someone from Plumbco came to the house, even though it was not an emergency. He explained what was going on, which was not as dire as i was imagining, and explained how it would be taken care of. He also noticed a huge problem in my bathtub that I didn't even know about. Our foundation shifted and the drain is now misaligned. We need to get the foundation fixed before anything else, so he pointed it out as a courtesy.

Gary said the clamp would be fine but that as the other pipes are the same age (50+ years old), we might consider replacing the length of pipe containing the leak and gave us a quote for it. He and another worker were here quickly, worked quickly, and were very professional and helpful. Given the alternative (a flooded house?), I was happy to pay what they charged, which was in line with what I was expecting. I'll definitely call them again, hopefully next time in a non-emergency situation.

Plumbco arrived right on time. Wore shoe protectors to save the floor. Original builder valves would not take the Moen faucet I purchased. Instead of replacing the valves, Plumbco had adaptors that would join the different sizes. Faucet was replaced and area was left clean.

They did a good job and they told me when they came here that they had to cut the sheet rock to get to the pipes. They told me right before they cut it that they don't repair or fix sheet rock so I would have to find someone else. Of course they didn't know they would have to cut that until that time but it was difficult since they weren't able to complete the full job. I then had to find someone else to finish the extra work.

I called monday to request a site visit to repair, what appeared to be a small leak on the pipe for main water line outside the house. Gary told me he had an open appointment for 2 PM the next day, I agreed with the time/date. In the morning when I woke up the leak had increased significantly and we called to see if there was a way for him to expedite (at least to stop the leak somehow). He came in almost immediately stopped the leak and confirmed that his crew would be returning at 2 PM to complete the repair. At 2 PM the crew showed up dug up the pipe repaired the line and cleaned everything up. Excellent job. All members of the crew were polite. I do recommend this vendor.

Gary called sooner because his previous job did take as long and said he was on his way. He arrived and walked around the property to make sure there wasn't an issue with the main drainage line. When he came in he assesed the issue and informed us he would snake the two toilets in order to remove the clog. While snaking the toilet on the 1st floor he informed us of a blockage in the drain that was preventing the snake from going all the way in after several strong attempts. He then recommended that we could either remove the toilet and try to push out block or we could replace the toilet with a Toto which is 1.6GPF as well but with a more powerful flush which would prevent future occassional clogs. He told us we could search the product on the internet to read the reviews and possibly get a better price and that he would come and install for us and gave us the price if we purchased through him and the price for installation only. He said we didn't need to make the decision right then that clog had been removed for now, but the block would cause problems in the future. He then snaked the toilet on the 2nd floor and showed us how there wasn't a block in this line and how the snake went all the way down with ease. I mentioned how the float wouldn't always come up in order to stop the water from running so he replaced it for $50. Gary literally saved the day and was a pleasure during his time at my home. He defintely lived up to his reputation on Angie's List and I will definitely be calling him in the future and passing his information on to anyone who is in need! THANK YOU GARY!! :)

Occurred over two visits. At each visit, they showed us and explained thoroughly every problem, what they planned to do to repair, and rationale for the repair. They went above and beyond what we asked in order to seek out the sources of several unusual challenges we were facing in bathroom and kitchen (e.g., sewer flies, water collecting around kitchen sink counter, etc.) They double-checked their work, encouraged us to watch them as they did their work, were extremely patient in answering our questions and explaining everything. Even went being plumbing duties and helped to reinforce strength of and cover existing holes in drywall behind the refrigerator when repairs inside wall were complete, put insect/roach traps and DampRid in wall b/f sealing shut. I really don't know how competitive the cost of service is--we used them previously and were so happy with them then that we decided to stick with them regardless. That says a lot, because we are on a very tight budget and would typically seek estimates from at least 3 companies.

I called and spoke to Gary (the owner) on Friday night and said we could last the night without water. He said he would be out the next morning. He called right on schedule and indicated he was on his way. He and his assistant spoke to me and then started to dig up around the problem area. They were very careful to remove the sod and place it along with the other dirt on plastic sheets. After identifying the problem (corroded galvanized pipe connected to copper), he told me what he would do to fix it. He had all the materials with him, including some specialized tools that helped make the repair easier. Within 2 hours from arrival to cleanup they were done and I had water again. They replaced the sod they dug up exactly like it was. It was great experience. I felt like I was getting straight talk at all times, and Gary was very friendly. He showed me exactly what he was doing and why. He owns the company, so I got the added satisfaction of using a local small business. The cost for the repair was very reasonable in my opinion.

Excellently. This was an unexpected emergency which we discovered about 5 p.m. We called Plumbco and was told someone would be there within an hour. Gary arrived within the stated hour and immediately recognized the problem and started work on it. He, and subsequently a colleague, was here until after 9 p.m. and did not leave until they had completed the repair and restored our water supply. We were extremely impressed by the quick responsiveness of Gary and his team, were fully satisfied with the price since it was a major leak and the way they completed the repair. Will happily use them again or recommend them. Great service.

As always with Gary it went perfectly. He is always on time (unless there is an emergency, in which case he calls to let me know) and totally prepared for the job at hand. He is always neat and efficient and professional. He is very friendly and I enjoy it when he comes to take care of a problem.

I called Gary based on his reviews here on Angie's list. We were having a funky smell in our upstairs toilet and I thought the seal might be broken. Gary agreed to come out late in the afternoon during the week, but he goofed and didn't put it on his calendar. At first I was upset, but he emailed, explained what happened and apologized and offered to come out on Saturday. He came on time and checked everything including some things other than the toilet. He told us we didn't need a new seal even though it would have been easy to just do the work and charge us the agreed price ($190) this makes him honest. He the even told my wife how to get warrantee coverage for some faucets and a soap dispenser that we are having problems with rather than try to sell her on service. In all, he is very honest and we will certainly use him in the future. Oh, and he didn't charge a penny for his visit to make up for missing the first appointment. You got to love a guy like that.

This review covers 2 complete visits. The initial visit was to correct the leak under the kitchen sink as it was damaging my cabinetry. Plus we decided to have Gary check both bathroom fixtures since one had a water hammer effect (when showering) and the other cold faucet leaked. Although he was unable to come the same day, he and his assistant arrived right on time when they said they would and went right to work assessing the situation(s). They did the work in the downstairs bath, the kitchen and the dryer on the 1st visit. However because our house and plumbing fixtures are so old, he suggested a 2nd visit to take apart the upstairs bath faucet and try to find new stems that would work in our existing system. That way, we only had our water cut off for a minimal amount of time. They did the work efficiently and left the work area very clean. Plus they were warm, easy to talk to, and our dogs loved them. The estimates and actual costs were right on target - and very reasonable, compared to other plumbers we've used in the past. We'll never use anyone else but Plumbco again!

After hearing a constant drip in the ceiling separating the 2nd and 3rd floor, we decided to call Plumbco. Gary and Andy came out to test our pipes which consisted of us running our shower and tub. After a couple minutes, we could hear the noise we called about. We described to them that after turning off the water, the noise would go away and we have not seen any water spots or leaks on the ceiling. Gary and Andy then explained to us the process of thermal expansion in the pipe which caused the pipes to expand and contract against a stud creating a drip-like noise. As a result, there was no work needed and we were left with a peace of mind. If we do end up needing plumbing work in the future, I will certainly call these guys again. Family business with integrity.

I thought I had a simple problem from trying to use the distposal for peelings from various veggies. But when Gary came he used the snake but found that the pipes weren't even connected by plumber's glue and were at the wrong angle to ever get stuff carried out. He did a lot of looking into things and really worked hard to make things work well. And then he fixed it with a great deal of effort on his part. He was one of the nicest and most knowledgeable folks I have ever had in my home to help me. So, I think he is the most honorable and effective plumber consultant you could ever hope for.

Arrived on time and completed the entire job in under 2 hours. That included draining and taking the old water heater out, installing the new water heater, adding new hoses, connections, vent pipe, and upgrading connections that were aged. Everything had to be taken up/down a pull down attic stairs, and my wood floors were not harmed. Besides the warranty for the water heater, they will cover all parts and labor for the first year. A complete, professional job by the best plumbing company I have used since moving to the Houston area 33 years ago. I like the idea of using a local company that cares about the job they perform. We even received a thank-you note a few days later.

Randy provided the bid and did the work. He was punctual, courteous, and informative.

Fixing the leaking shower was not an easy job as they had to spend 4 hrs to try to take out the inner tubing behind the wall carefully without damaging my granite wall. The job was performed in approximately 4 hrs and I was extremely satisfied with the work done professionally and courteously. They find the correct replacement part within reasonable time and finally cleaned up all debris. The cost of the job including the parts are very reasonable plus they applied discount for being an Angie's list member. I definitely will use them again in the future and recommend them to anybody that requires plumbing service.
