Move Masters Professional Services

I have heard different nightmare stories told about moving experiences and now I have my very own nightmare to relay. Our first clue should have been the failure of the company to return the phone calls they said they would. But that is minor compared to what would follow. The movers were to arrive at our house at 9:00 am. They did not. After about 30 minutes we got a phone call sayings they were going to be about an hour late. They arrived at our house at 11:00 and after assessing our household told us that 2 trucks would not be big enough for the contents of our household in one trip. The decision was made to bring in a 3rd truck. They finished packing the trucks at 6:00 pm and left for the 30 minute trip to our new house. My husband arrived at 6:30, but no movers. At 7:10 we received a phone call that they were lost. My husband drove out to where they said they were and lead them to our house. As they began unloading it became evident that most of the workers could not read the English room names that were written on the boxes, and if I just told them what room things were to go in they did not understand. I had to point or show them. Therefore, we had boxes all over the house and my husband had to move boxes to the proper places before we could unpack. The movers finished unloading around 11:45 pm. What a great impression to leave with new neighbors - noise of movers and beeping trucks as they backed up until nearly midnight! Perhaps one of the most disturbing things to me was that they put about a 5 inch scratch on brand new wood floors by pushing a piece of furniture into place. I was standing right there, my 30 year-old-son was standing right there. We saw them do it. But when I asked them to document it on the receipt the man looked right into my eyes and said "what scratch?" When I walked over to show him I said, "Oh someone tried to cover it with something". He said " no problem then". They had used some sort of marker to cover the scratch. See photo. Beside trying cover their mistake, they took away my right to properly cover the scratch. They also scratched the front of the stainless steel microwave when putting the refrigerator in place and the refrigerator got a small dent. I would not recommend Move Masters to anyone. We have had such good experiences with other contractors we hired off of Angie's List. This was not one of them. It took 6.5 hours to load the trucks, which seemed extra long being that we had everything in boxes except furniture and they had a 5 man crew. We moved a 5 bedroom house to a 1 story house 30 minutes away and we paid for 11 hours, so the total was much more than anticipated.

There were three movers who came in and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.

The crew at Move Masters was extremely efficient and professional. I called Wayne at Move Masters and he asked me a few questions about the size of the house I was moving from and to and the furniture I needed moving. He then recommended an optimal crew size to move us. The gentlemen were very punctual and set to complete the task at hand in an expeditius manner. I would recomend Move Masters to anyone. Thanks for such an excellent job!

They did not do a good job and I have never had anything like this before. They took about three days to call me back. They showed up half an late and did not apologize for it. The owner called my house to tell me about it even though he had my cell phone number. They used a bunch of my supplies and charged me for it. The move from my daughter’s apartment to the storage was just to take eighteen minutes but they took like well over an hour. They overcharged me by charging me for three hours of work. They just took their time even though it was just two rooms. I did not feel that I owed him for such time. I was not happy with their attitude. He however he still has not sent me the check which is good. They did not even put the ramp on the back of their truck and things were just bouncing off. They did not wrap the furniture or anything properly. Their professionalism was pathetic. I would not use them again in the future.

Move Masters sent a 3 man crew, they were responsive to the time constraints we had on a Saturday to work around the kids schedules. Wayne called us back the next day after we talked with him the first time to make an appointment. The day of the move they called to see if they come earlier as they were finished with the previous job. We told them that we would prefer that they came at the original time, and they did. I appreciated that they checked first instead of just showing up. They treated our house with respect, walked us through the paperwork first, used mats to protect some of the iron work, and they broke down the bed and put it back up. They informed us that even though we were using the special for a three man crew, that they had 4 because one was in training. The work was within the minimum time limit, but the qouted price was the actual price. The crew was polite, efficient, and was very careful moving the couch up some tight corners to make sure that they didn't mark the walls. We did move all pictures off walls and clear path before they came, and did take down the babygates, but Wayne told us we should take down the gates during our initial call. It was refreshing the way that even though this was a small job, they treated us with respect and willing to take on the job. Best money spent to keep from throwing out my back. Would definitely consider using again.

Excellent all around. Called Friday morning to find help moving several large items ASAP. Wayne from Move Masters said he call around to see if he can find 3 movers for that day or tomorrow. He called back in 10 min with news that the movers will be there that afternoon. I was surprised and very happy. Waiting to the last minute ... not a good idea. Also, Wayne suggested a good idea when storing a leather couch which ensure its good condition. The 3 movers (Luis, Carlos, and Mario) showed up, surveyed what was needed to be moved and got to work very quickly. They were able to work very efficiently and effectively, and quickly. They went the extra steps to wrap the table tops to the table tennis table with a moving blanket and plastic wrap so they wouldn't get damaged during the move. That was a happy surprise. I probably wouldn't have done that and would have been disappointed upon arriving at my destination with damaged items. Thank you very much.

They are just super people and I would highly recomed them.

They charge 89 dollars an hour and it took me seven hours.

Robert, Justin and Zack arrived right on time and began working immediately. They wrapped important pieces very carefully. The move took a total of about 5.5 hours and they worked hard the whole time. I felt bad because may of the boxes were too big and really heavy, but I heard no complaints whatsoever. They did not ding or damage any walls. One of my picture frames was damaged but they are having it professionally restored and delivered back to me within a week. I would hire this company again.

Two professional movers arrived early. They went to work quickly to shrink wrap the heirloom wood furniture and mirrors. They managed to lift and move these down a narrow staircase and carefully placed them in a truck where they were securly tied down. Robert and his assistant were both fast and efficient. Absolutely nothing was damaged during the move. Although the final destination was a small storage unit, all items were carefully placed into the unit with a little room to spare. Overall, an excellent job for our small move all in 2 hours. We will use them again if we need a fast, careful mover.

On the day of the move, the move team called as they were getting near, as requested. I met them at the first stop and was immediately impressed by Robert's professionalism and the way that they carefully protected and handled our dining room set. The three of them worked quickly at each location and were careful to point out any defects before loading it on the truck. When we arrived at our new home, they worked very quickly but carefully to unload everything. One piece of furniture had come apart in transit - I think it was more of a defect than a handling issue - but they did a great job of repairing it before bringing it into the house. Everything else arrived undamaged and intact. There was a particularly fragile piece of antique furniture and they took incredible care to insure it was not damaged. At the end of the move, I honestly was surprised that the bill hadn't reached the maximum move amount. The billing was very fair and all three movers were very friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.

We got Move Masters from Angie's List. Fantastic experience. They were at our house at the promised time and took care of everything. They were fast, but careful, made sure which items had to be handled with care and went beyond the call of duty. A major concern was a solid teak antique bed that had to be taken apart carefully. Not only did they do a perfect job taking it apart, but at the new house they did not need any instructions on how to re-assemble it.We will use them again and again!..

They were on time and did a very good job.

The man who came out was really nice and helpful but , despite telling me he'd give me a bid within a few days, he never called back with an estimate/bid. So, we chose another Angie's List company (who DID call back with a bid).

Overall they made moving a pleasure.

I had a storage room that was a total mess and needed to be re-organized because i needed to add bedroom furniture to it. I also needed to move bedroom furniture from a downstairs room to an upstairs room. Move masters were wonderful. They kept me informed of their arrival time, wrapped the furniture to be moved, moved it without hurting it or hitting the walls or other things along the way. They also totally re-organized a storage room to where there is lots more storage space. They were clean, fast, and efficient. They were through in 2 hours. Amazing! I would recommend them to anyone.

Robert, Justin and Lazaro were fabulous; they went above and beyond what we expected. They arrived 5 minutes early went over the price estimate I was given over the phone, and then got right to work. Every peice of furniture moved was first wrapped in a blanket then carefully removed and placed in the truck and then placed in the proper place in the new house. They even fixed several stretches even thought they didn’t make them. They were able to get the water convections on the washing machine off that I was not able to. As I said they went far above my expectations and at the end the move was done for the same price as was quoted. I highly recommend them and will use then again when I need help with a move

Move Masters scheduled my move in a very courteous and professional manner - they were even understanding when I had to move the date a couple times. The movers were right on time, friendly, handled our possessions carefully and made great use of their time while on the clock. I would definitely use them again.

If I could give them more stars, I would. They were there on time and worked so fast I couldn't believe it. They wrapped the furniture securely and moved it without so much as touching a wall or leaving a mark. They had given me an estimate, and didn't go over. They responded to every email promptly, and were very courteous. I would definitely use them again.

Excellent service! They were very communicative throughout the bidding process, and were easy to deal with scheduling the actual move. When they showed up, they were on time. They provided a 3-man crew for my move, and all 3 were very polite and professional. Only one spoke English, which isn't bad, but it presented a bit of trouble as I'd written room names and "do not stack" on a few boxes which two of them couldn't read. The English speaker of the group caught on eventually though and started directing them more granularly so that nothing got damaged. The bid estimated 4-5 hours to move, and it took just a hair over 4. I'd definitely use them again!

We made arrangements with Wayne and everything went like clockwork. The 3 guys (Jose was the foreman) were very careful with our belongings and were very efficient. Not a moment was wasted. They were willing and able to do anything that we asked. The move went smoothly and we couldn't be more pleased. We would recommend them to my friends! :) l

The folks at Move Masters, including Wayne Watts, did a fantastic job moving our stuff into our new home. The crew arrived right on time, made sure that all the furniture was wrapped well with blankets and packed up two 24' trucks. Things were a bit easier since we did a corporate move from Denver to Houston and left 3/4 of our items packed in the move boxes, so there was a very limited amount of packing required by his crew. That allowed the crew to pack up the house on the trucks in about 2.5 hours (about 2100 sq foot worth of a house). This included breaking down all the furniture for secure transport and wrapping all items in moving blankets, where damage could occur. Once the crew got to the new house, they protected our floors, walls and staircase railing with cardboard and we just directed traffic for a few hours until all of our things were in the requested rooms and off the trucks. They did have to make a second trip with one of the trucks for the last bit of stuff. All in all, it was a great moving experience. The crew was professional, on time and efficient. If we ever move again, which we hope we are settled for a bit, we would use these guys in a heart beat. Thanks Wayne for a great experience.

Moving rates high on the scale for most people as far as stress goes. After reviewing Angies List I called Move Masters and reserved two dates for a move. The movers were scheduled for 9am. I happened to see the truck and trailer drive by at about 9am and did not see them after that. I tried to call Move Masters (about 905), no one picked up, I left a message and did not hear back. I called again at 945am and finally spoke to someone (Wayne). He did not even know where the truck and movers were. I menentioned that I was disappointed after seeing the responses in Angies List and I would not recommend them and that I would be providing negative feedback. His deamenor seemed to get defensive and basically said what could I report on since they did not move me. In my opinion if the set time comes and goes, and you do not get a phone call then the service is not being provided as it should have. He did ask if there was a way to make it right. But an hour late and no phone call I would not even want the movers in my house. Bottom line is that Move Masters lost out on two moves and the amount of money it would have cost me for those moves. As I was getting ready to leave the house I saw the truck driving by again. As a follow up I did get an email from Move Masters apologizing and offering a discount on my next move. This was still not enough for me to use them again as I was really put in a bind and had to find another mover on the same day. A little communication could have gone along way.

Wayne and his company Move Masters were outstanding. From the moment we contacted him, his enthusiasm for what he does was infectious. He presented himself and his services in an extremely professional manner. His crew was timely and efficient. They carefully packed all of items and did so quickly and competently. We did not have a single item damaged, scratched or broken. The moving crew provided equally outstanding service. We have a large home with a tremendous amount of furniture and items and they effectively packed the items into the trucks and then delivered and placed them into the house in the appropriate places. We had some incredibly difficult items to get into the home and they managed to do it without putting a mark on the wall. They professionally put together all of the furniture and were more than willing to move items from place to place as we tried to arrange items when delivered. Overall, Wayne and his team made this move an incredibly easy and painless process. I would highly recommend Move Masters.

I got them off of Angie's List. They did a good job. They were very professional. Firstly, everything was done over the phone. The second thing was that when the gentlemen came, they were very prompt on time. They were able to let me know what was covered and also about all the liability issues. It was very professionally done. They went about doing things quickly. They had to disassemble and assemble some stuff so they were able to do all that together.
