Mashues Landscape & Design

This company is great to work with. They return calls promptly and are good at communication. I received a written estimate for the work to be done, and the work was completed promptly- I was pleased how soon they could do the job. The workmen arrived on time, lifted the old plantings, installed some steel edging, put in topsoil and new plants. They used some microlife fertilizer to help the plants grow, and finished the bed with mulch that matched the mulch in other beds in my yard. The crew was polite and worked quickly. I was very impressed with their efficiency. I will use Mashues again.

The service was great. I've used them in the past and they did a good job again. I took bids and thought their price was fair. I like that they have someone that is friendly that comes out and explains what they're going to do and they answer any questions I have. You first get a bid in the email and then they follow up with a written bid in the mail. I like that I don't have to call them back I can count on them to send me the bid. I trust them.

They send you a maintenance estimate for the cost and you agree, then when they leave a typed invoice on your door after the service is performed, there is an and quot;extraand quot; amount (normally $10.00) hand written on the invoice. We don't like the fact that they can arbitrarily hand write in whatever extra amount they feel you owe. We did not pay it and cancelled their service after only three service dates. We feel if you agree on the amount, then that is the amount we owe.

Mashue's performed all requested services as promised and I was happy with the results. I used them over a course of two years and was satisfied. My only issue with Mashue's is the way they bill/invoice. They will send an invoice for each individual service performed whether or not the services were performed on the same day or not hence causing you to look over sometimes 4 or 5 invoices within one month. This can make it somewhat difficult to keep up with billing. I ultimately demanded one monthly invoice for services rendered and they agreed.

They were easy to contact via email. Came out right away for the estimate. Did a great job with getting the yard back in shape. They mowed every other week for us for about half a year. Nice people!

Mashues has office help who answer the phone promptly and are very helpful. They set up an appointment for a free quote and the gentleman was on time and very professional. I then received a quote within 24 hours through my email as well as mail. I called back and set up a and quot;start dateand quot;. The crew arrived as planned and worked miracles with my yard. They delivered everything promised in the quote, removed all of the debris and left me with a really great looking yard. I have set up a weekly schedule to manage my yard and will ask them to feed and aerate my yard at a later date. They will also help me with landscaping ideas later in the fall. Great work and I will continue to work with them.

The call was very pleasant and Vivian is easy to work with. Estimate was fair and work is excellant. Don't use anyone else, your search for lawn care is over. They are the best.

Not well. The individual who came and gave us the estimate did not communicate our needs to the crew, resulting in the job not being able to be completed to our specifications. The crew did not knock on the door to notify us the work had begun or check on our satisfaction once the work was completed. When I requested to speak with the foreman, he was not communicative or helpful. In addition, the work they did the first time was sloppy: weed barrier was showing through the mulch and there was still debris (large tree trunks) in one bed I had to ask them to come back and remove. Even after they came back, I still found garbage in the same bed (a metal pipe?). We also noticed the amount of mulch they laid was barely enough to cover the ground. Apparently they did not really weed the beds either because weeds are already popping through the thinly laid mulch. After speaking with them several times, they did issue a minor discount for the work they refused to complete. When I told them I was dissatisfied with the quality of the work and that I would be making a report to Angie's List, they did not seem to care. They made no offer to come back and spread more mulch or remove the remaining debris from the beds.

They were fine for the estimate. The estimate was a little high. I thought they were great and very professional. He took pictures and was very responsive to me. He seemed to know everything he was talking about in the yard.

We did not use them because our neighbor offered to mow after my husband surgery. But when I called they were very responsive, worked with me on a date and time to come and were very friendly.

Overall my experience went good, but I did not like their scheduling because they had a narrow schedule as to when they would come out. I was hoping that they would come during the day, but they ended up coming after my wife and I got home from work. When they were weeding, they cut down a couple of bushes that I had at the back, but finally just continued the service. Overall they did alright other than that. I spent about $30 because I wanted them out for two weeks, instead of every week, so they raised the rate on me. I did not have any interaction with the actual workers and the only person I dealt with was over the phone.

The prices are competitive. They don’t leave clippings on our front porch. They take them away so I don’t have lawn clippings sitting on my front lawn. They always show up unless it is pouring down rain; they are very reliable. They pulled up a flower bed for me that I wanted to get rid of. They did a fine job of that. We will continue to use them in the future.

For a fairly large company, I didn't think they did that exceptional of a job. Some of the instructions that I gave got ignored. They weren't bad, I just thought I could do better. You could settle for them, but I didn't think they were that great. I have a really big yard, so I had no objections to their price. I pay $40.00 for two guys to do it now, and Mashues probably did a better job overall, but the guys I use now will do the specific things I ask. As far as professionalism, there was a big difference between the office staff and the workers.

Their price is reasonable and their work is good. The place always looks nice after they finish their work.

The girls in the office are super great and so the customer service part is good. Where this company failed is in the weekly yard maintenance. The workers were in and out of here very fast. They blew leaves and debris into the flower beds and pool, the grass was mowed unevenly and on one occasion they left an invoice for weeding when they did not perform that service. ( I was home watching them). So I called the office and they did not charge me for that service but if I had not been home to see what happened I am not sure how this would have turned out. I feel for what I am paying them they should be doing a much better job! There were a couple of others problems too and after calling their office and complaining about these others issues they sent me a very nicely written letter from the owner basically firing me as their customer because we were not compatible. It was a good move for both of us. I feel that my satisfaction was not as important to them.

I work near where I live so I wanted to be there to direct their work. Lulu called me when they were on their way with an ETA. I arrived and supervised their work so I could make sure they did it how I wanted it. It took a little over an hour and it looked phenomenal. But I kinda choked at the invoice. Just a lesson not to let things go. It will cost one way or another. I was very pleased.

Excellent! They went above and beyond the normal trimming and mowing to remove weeds, cut down weeds behind my house as well as trim some monkey grass along my front walkway. It was easy to communicate with the crew, the same crew will come out each week, the office was very responsive when I called to request the monkey grass be trimmed. The communication between office and crew is very simple and organized. I felt like they knew who I was and they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations.

I contacted this company 3 times by phone and sent an email. No one even bothered to return the call.

A salesman came to give me an estimate which was very reasonable and they started mowing the next week. One day the yard guys opened my automatic driveway gate by unbolting the motorized arm. The timing got set incorrectly because of this and the gate wouldn't close. BUT when I called to let them know-they sent someone out to try and fix it. And when that didn't work, they reimbursed me for the repair service call. I was very pleased with the professional way they handled the problem. They have really been great and they deserve a very good report!!

the estimate visit took a bit longer than i expected, but they were extremely busy. they came out on a saturday rather than wait until monday, their work day. i was pleased with the ammount they charged, as i have had to pay much more to other landscaper. the job done was very nice. i will call them again.

I was disappointed. The service was ok. The person who took my name to fill out the paperwork spelled my name wrong. If you can't spell a person's name, ask how to spell it. Their prices were high. I would not go back here. It's in a run down neighborhood. They probably need to do some remodeling.

Excellent, very dependable service. I love being able to call and talk to a real, live person anytime Monday through Friday 8 to 5. This is a family-owned/operated business, and it shows. I've also gotten an estimate from them on landscaping services. They sent me a quote and plan within a day. Everything is very reasonably priced, but high quality. I'm sold!

They worked me in on Labor Day because while I was looking for someone new to take care of my lawn service needs, everything was very overgrown. They gave me an estimate to take care of my landscaping needs on a weekly basis and I am looking forward to turning it over to them and just being able to enjoy my lawn and garden.

Due to the length of the project, which spanned 3 weeks, we had to do some clean-up of debris left behind by the installation crew. Jon Mashue was also great about providing credit for items that we removed from the proposal, even after the proposal was signed. Additionally, we received a nice thank you card and a small gift after the job was complete. Overall a good experience and we are very happy with the yard.
