Response from Long Point Pest Control
After seeing this post, I called the tenant at this location. The tenant said that they are not seeing small bugs but they have been seeing large roaches that are dead/dying. I bring this up because this is an issue that we hear over and over again. If you are seeing dead or dying bugs, then the insecticide is working. I understand that it is ideal to never see a bug in your home again after a pest control treatment; however, this is not always the case. In some cases, customers will say that the bugs are coming in from outside the home, when in reality, it is just as likely that they are coming from inside the home. Since this customer had just one treatment, it seems likely that the number of dead bugs being seen will diminish with continued service; however, insects have to come in contact with the insecticide. If there are areas that are inaccessible due to boxes, etc., they may not have to come into contact with the insecticide. There are many variables that go into each home to determine if someone has more bugs than another customer from foliage surrounding the house, nearby construction, sanitary conditions, standing water around a home, living near a bayou...the list goes on and on.
