Long Point Pest Control

Kevin arrived on time to perform a basic indoor pest treatment (roaches, silverfish, etc.) which involved treatment of all the baseboards. The service also involved a treatment of the perimeter of the house and the entryways (windows/doorways). Finally, he performed additional spot treatments in the kitchen where we were having ant problems at no extra charge. The service last about 35 minutes. He was efficient and courteous and accepted the Angie's list 10% discount coupon without question.

I have been using them for about a year. They were always prompt. They show up and do their job. Other than that, that is it.

They were very responsive because they showed up the same day I called them. They were good and showed up early. They were very clear with what work they were going to get done. Their price was reasonable. They were very friendly and didn't try to push any services on me.

I called Long Point Pest Control because we were having so much trouble getting rid of ants (we didn't know for sure what kind, but knew it wasn't sugar ants, fire ants, or crazy ants). We also have a lot of small spiders in the house. The house is about 10 years old and we have not used a pest control service in years, but would attack problems ourselves. We were able to kill the ants, but didn't know how they were coming in, so we just ended up with lots of dead ants around the showers, tubs, sinks, etc. Kevin, the technician arrived a few minutes early and waited in his van for the appropriate time (on a Saturday morning at 8 a.m.!) He was very professional. We showed him the problem areas, and he was able to immediately identify the ants as "black ants". He was very conscientious, asking us areas where we had problems, walking though the house with my husband so that we could show him where our problem areas were. He did the regular pest control treatment, then went back and treated specific areas for the "black ants" and spiders. He was very thorough, but went quickly from room to room, upstairs, downstairs, attic, garage, perimeter of the house. He was finished in less than an hour! The cost of the treatment for the black ants and spiders was extra, but this was explained to me over the phone when I first called them. Kevin was courteous, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. Would definitely call Long Point again!

Arrived on time (or early) for both estimate and job. Very professional.

They were very responsive. When I called it was easy to get an appointment and they came out right away. They solved the problem.

We are due for them to come now. They send out a quarterly reminder which is good. The same tech comes out, we know and recognize him (we like that), is here when they say they will be, is sometimes early, and is in and out without delay. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.

I was very unhappy. I thought he was unprofessional as he was talking about personal things, such as religion. He also stated that I had German cockroaches that he would have to come back with a special spray, but ended up spraying and charging me money anyhow.

It was pouring rain the day that the exterminator came. So he did the inside treatment that day and then came back the next day after the rain had stopped to do the outside treatment. I appreciated that he adjusted his schedule to come back, and that he did so without me having to be there for the outside treatment.

On the of first look, devin was able to put out live traps in the hopes that we would catch the squirrel. Unfortunately, this was not successful but on the day of service devin and crew checked the attic thoroughly to ensure any critters were out prior to sealing everything. The job was done to great detail and we are very pleased! My husband and I even laughed as later that night we watched the squirrels try to get in through their main access point and fail!

I have used Long Point Pest control for many years and have never been dissatisfied with their services. They are always timely, courteous, clean and do a great job. Their service reps are very knowledgeable and willingly answer questions and explain their services.

We have used Long Point for about 12 years and continue to be impressed with their professionalism, and most of all, effectiveness!The same exterminator comes to our house each quarter and is very trustworthy and courteous. I highly recommend this company.

They were very professional, quick, helpful, nice and have very reasonable prices.

We used this company because we had two squirrels in our attic. Service was prompt and they were able to get the squirrels out of our attic quickly. They also sealed up the holes in the soffit of our roof, which is no small task considering that we have a three story town home. Most companies would not come out and even quote the job once they heard we had a three story house.

We are using them for quarterly service.

They were on time, the price quoted was what I paid and the technitian was very good and explained everything he did.

Called for an estimate on flea control service for the yard because our usual service provider could not fit us in quickly. They wanted to charge us $300-$350. Our regular provider charges $85. Canceled the appointment immediately. The person on the phone was very polite and professional and it was great they could fit us in same day. But man, that is a big difference. Update: The company called me back and said a mistake had been made when they prepared the estimate and it actually should have cost $150 to $175. That's still more than my regular provider but also more reasonable. I was impressed they took the time to call back after seeing my feedback.

Everything has been great with them. They are always on time to the appointments. All of the service reps that I have had they were professional and friendly. I haven’t ever had a problem with them at all. I will use this company again.

It went well. They did everything they said that they would do, were punctual, professional, and courteous...

Overall, I was satisfied with vendor's responsiveness, professionalism, and punctuality. However, not as much with the quality of the service provided. Before performing the service, the exterminator mentioned that the product he would use was very effective and would keep the ants away for a year at least. Within a few days after the service, I saw more ant mounds in other parts of the yard. We also continue to see wasps. I know that ants will move to other locations, but I assumed that with such a product (described as very effective) being used in my entire yard, that the ants would move to someone else's yard - not just to other spots in my yard. I called them back to let them know what I was seeing and that I'd give it another week to see if the activity died down more significantly. They called me back and offered to come back out and re-spray with a 10% discount, but I didn't want to spend any more money - even at a discount. We needed to use our money on other home repair projects, so we just went back to using a store brought product from Home Depot - whenever we would see a sizable mound. I'm sure the product is great, but our yard probably needs several treatments in order to have the maximum impact described. Since living in my home 12 years - we've had some ant problems and never professionally treated it. We may need a super duper product for several applications to get the results we're after and we're just not willing to spend that kind of money right now.

They were very good at explaining the life cycle of the termites and how to prevent entry. They set up a very thorough perimeter around our home, carport and garage that was 12 inches wide. They also come back for treatments at no extra cost if we notice anything.

The man took a thorough look around the whole house exterior to see where the critters we heard in the attic might get in, pointed them out to us, and gave us a detailed bid for sealing and setting traps for "roof rats" they thought were the most likely culprits. They came when they said they would and set 12 traps in the attic, then took 2 hrs. sealing the house thoroughly. Several days later, they came to remove the traps--none were full--and said that it had probably been small squirrels, who got out while they were setting the traps and can't get back in. It's been quiet up there since they did the job. We have a running contract with Long Point Pest Control for termites, after they treated the house several years ago. That treatment and the annual inspections have always been done in a professional manner.

The office receptionist was very friendly on the phone and scheduled my service very promptly, as requested. The serviceman arrived early. He was very professional, and did the job exactly as I requested. I was very happy with the service I received. Although, I did have to request my 10% discount after telling them I got their name from Angies's List, they did deduct it from the total and showed it to me on my receipt. I would definitly use their services again.
