Levinson's Construction

The deal I bought was four hours of work. After I bought the coupon, I was informed that it was for 2 hours with 2 people. My concern was the ability of 2 people working efficiently in such a small space. I made the appointment for early morning because I had to leave for work at 4 pm. They were 2 hours late because they could not buy the materials needed so early. Pre planning would have been helpful. The gentleman worked very hard and did very nice work. The second person seemed to be on the cell phone as much as she was on the job. I also saw her leaving the bathroom more than once to walk and talk. At least, that was my impression. At 4, the job was not done. Since I was being charged by the hour, I was getting concerned. I asked for an estimate and was told there was no way to know since they were repairing and still needed to caulk. My husband came home early from work since I had to leave. When I returned home, I saw beautiful bathroom walls, but the caulking was the original, so that was not an issue that extended the time. I feel that this job could have been done faster since the room has little wall space and there were 2 workers. So, if you want a nice look to your walls, but do not need a firm estimate, have no strict budget, and can tolerate the impression you are not getting the most labor for your money, then these are the people for you. Personally, I am happy with the job, but uneasy with the process.

The job had been scheduled for late in the month, but being in the area and having the time, the owner called and re-scheduled. The owner and her craftsman performed a quality repair in a reasonable amount of time. They even painted the patch which I had not expected. Overall it was a good experience and the cost was appropriate. I liked the "buy it now" concept as well as the ability to pay with "Paypal". I would use these folks again and have already recommended them to others.

They came in worked hard an fast, did the job and clean up before they left. They were very friendly, and willing to answer every question I had. I would reccomend them to anyone and would feel perfectly comfortable using them again

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for up to 3 hours of drywall repair from Levinson's Construction. Ms. Levinson and her assistant, Carlos, arrived on time at 9AM. I showed them the hole in the garage ceiling and explained that my husband had fallen through while working in the attic. Ms. Levinson and Carlos promptly retrieved their tools and supplies and began measurements for the repair. Plastic sheeting was laid in the work area and covering some of our possessions in the garage. The old, damaged drywall/ceiling was removed by sawing it out. A new, measured piece of drywall was installed and anchored into place. The edges were taped and new plaster applied around the edges and over the entire area. The perimeter of the patch was heat-dried and sanded down. The area is now ready for painting - which we plan to do at a later date with our whole house. Ms. Levinson and Carlos were finished and cleaned up the construction area before leaving. All within 2 hours.

This is the 3rd time I have had Levinston Construction do work for me. They do great work and charge a reasonable price. When April was out for her last visit I had her quote me for some inside painting. About a month later I was ready so I setup a weekend appointment as she said it was best for a bigger job like mine. My original quote was for $800 which included two large rooms- living and kitchen, walls and ceilings. I decided to add quite a bit to the job, two additional rooms as well as light fixtures and hallways. April was great about quoting me for each addition and letting me make the decision. They showed up Sat morning on time and finished up around 7pm that night, came back sunday morning to do all my additions and were finished at 3pm sunday. The work was excellent, what I have come to expect from them.

She is very down to earth and easygoing. I just loved her. They cleaned up nicely. She wanted to make sure everything was done that I had asked and that I was happy with it. They are reliable. I am probably going to have her come back and do some more work. The price was very reasonable.

Before April and Carlos stared working, I asked if when they finished would my contractor who was going to remodel my bathroom have a wall that he could work with to resurface and paint. I understood the answer to be yes. However, my contractor tells me that the drywall will have to be replaced because of the glue left on the surface. They cannot resurface over the glue. April and Carlos worked about an hour over the time contracted in the Big Deal and cleaned up behind themselves very nicely. Since I have no experience in dry walls or wall preparation, I accepted what they said and thought I'd saved my contractor some messy and time consuming work. Removing wallpaper isn't easy. I chalk the experience up to learning a little more about remodeling, wallpaper removal and wall preparation.

April was very punctual. She was very careful to cover and protect everything in the closet before beginning the sheetrock repair. The work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. She provided all of the necessary materials which was great as we only needed a few small pieces of drywall.

I called her up and she came out. It was an outstanding job. She took a lot of care and time to make sure it would be right. It was more than I thought. It took a couple hours to patch the sheet rock. While she was here I added some additional area for her to do and I gladly paid more. There was one place where there were some grommets in the wall that I was going to cover with a mirror, but I changed my mind and she came back to take care of that for no extra charge. It was well worth the price.

The person who came out was very professional. I explained all of the work I needed to get done. He sent me a very professionally done estimate by email a few days later. Unfortunately the price was out of my range although I imagine that the work done would have been first rate. I will keep them in mind for smaller jobs in the future. Based on my limited experience with the company I would definitely recommend them.

It turned out great and they did a great job. They were very good. I called them and we made arrangements. They were there, they did the work, and it turned out really well.

I am satisfied with the service and price.

Purchased a "Big Deal" for wallpaper removal. I was able to make contact with April right away to schedule the work to be done. April and another worker arrived on time and promptly began preparing to work by protecting the area. April worked with me on the price when the work to be done exceeded the time of the "Big Deal". They were great to work with and did a good job of protecting my new expensive porcelain tile floor, as well as the cabinets and countertops. They cleaned up well after job completion. I have recommended them to others. I would definately use the company again. The bathroom looks great with the new floor and newly painted walls. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it.

From he beginning, April was responsive - we even had to reschedule on her the week before, and she accommodated - on time, honest, and polite. She came out and gave us an estimate which included cost of materials. Her and her crew showed up early and stayed late, ensuring that the job was was done correctly. We will absolutely use April in the future.

She is very professional and friendly. She is eager to satisfy you and do whatever needs to be done. If something doesn't turn out exactly right, she tries to get to the bottom of it and make it right. We called her back to do some more work and she gave us $100 off on the next work that she did for us.

They wound up painting the room and they are going to come back and do some drywall. They were very, very nice, very timely, very considerate. They did very good work.

The work was very well. When she came by, she also looked at some other projects. A large reason I purchased this Big Deal was to try the service before hiring them for a larger project. They never got back to me with a final estimate or completed the additional work I was asking about.

I decided to drywall my garage a month ago and because of work issues had been unable to spend much time on the job. I purchased 2 coupons for 3 hours each at $99 for Levinson's Construction in hopes they could help me get this finished. After I purchased I left a message at the number and it took her a few hours to get back to me. She apologized and said she was at a job and was focused on that which I can understand. The company is clearly in demand as her closest time was 2 weeks away but I would rather go with a solid company who is booked vs a terrible company needing work so I booked them for that time. She called 2 days before to get a better idea on the job and directions. I had planned to be there but because of some of the things that are keeping me from doing it myself surfaced so I was unable to be there to met and go over the work. I left my garage open so April got there and called me once she had a good idea of what I needed. I felt we were on the same page after the call. She called me again once the time I had purchased with the coupons had expired and gave me an update on what was done. She had extra available time open and I wanted her to continue helping me for another two hours. I got home late that night and was very happy after looking over the work, her and her helper did great work and are clearly professionals, the work was super and they cleaned up after wards. I could not even tell they had been there expect the amount of drywall mud that was applied. Very positive experience and im trying to book her for a few more hours. The only down side at all is they are very in demand so if you are looking for someone asap they might not be right for you as she is very booked up.

April & her crew did an AWESOME JOB. They were neat, fast and very efficient. We have already recommended her to our friends and family.

The were on time and courteous but I was not impressed with the work at all. I needed wallpaper removed from a bathroom, I let them in the the morning and then had to go to work. They called when the 4 hours of wallpaper removal I purchased was almost up. It was then that they told me that they had problems with the wallpaper and ended up removing several large sections of the drywall paper as well. I've removed wall paper from several other areas of my house and had similar issues when using a steamer, but when I switched to other methods of wallpaper removal, I was able to remove it cleanly without damaging the drywall. I didn't want to pay more money of top of what I was already paying to have them fix the drywall. So now I'll probably spend about as much time repairing the drywall as I would have to remove the wallpaper cleanly myself. Waste of money.

Great experience. Very professional, on time, and neat. They did such a good job and stayed late to finish in two days. My only complaint is that April said if we say any flaws the next day they would come back and fix them. I saw to minor flaws way up high and called her about them. They never came back, but I would still hire them again.

Purchased my second 3 hrs of drywall for $99 using April. She and her coworkers do excellent work. Repairs were done as scheduled and within the timeframe quoted. I enjoy talking with April and she is very knowledgeable. I have indicated I would use her again because of the quality of her work. However, she informed me this visit that I could no longer use the 3 hr/$99 special---one per customer and that I would need to contact her directly and her rate is $85/hr for services. I love her work, but that is a high rate to pay when you're on disability income. Will need to weigh the pros and cons next time I need drywall repair.

It went well. They arrived on time and worked had the entire time. They were professional and friendly. No problems.

Ms. Levinson and her helper arrived at my home, and I explained they needed to remove wallpaper and texturize the wall, so that I could paint the walls. I was using a special offer from the website, and was advised they would work as quickly as possible, but the four hours would be based on each person working two hours. I was under the impression I was getting four actual hours of service, not two per person. I still used the service, because I thought two people could remove this paper in a short period of time. The guest bathroom only had two walls with paper on them. The two service people worked until they removed the paper from one wall, then informed me they would have to charge me on a per hour bases, because the four hours had expired. I had no choice but to go to an hourly basis, because I had a painters scheduled to come in for estimates. They continued to work until all of the paper was removed, then texturized the walls. I was happy with the work, but a little disappointed about having to step outside my budget with the hourly charge. Ms. Levinson went out of her way to give me ideas on faux finish painting, and even went to Sherwin Williams with me to assist me in selecting colors and finishes. I would use them in the future.

It took a lot longer than it should have; I think due to the drying time. It also looked wavy when dry so we had to ask April to come back. When we called after a few days she told us her back was bad. We called her again in a few days and she was working some other big job, so she came to us after that. I don't think we should have had to track her down and I think she should have completed our job first.
