Jack's Carpet

I entered into an agreement with Jack's carpet on April 10, 2017 wherein they agreed to install carpet at my home for $6,000 and I was told it would be installed in 3 weeks. I paid half the money upfront. It is 8 weeks later and I have no carpet. No one even contacted me within the 3 week timeframe given. After over a month had gone by, I had to contact Jack's carpet to see what was going on. I got the run around about installation dates, but was finally promised June 3rd at 9a. No one showed up today (June 3rd) at 9a. I was told the truck had two flat tires and that they would come on Monday instead "so I didn't waste my whole Saturday waiting for them." I told Kristina Dowling, the salesperson that I've been dealing with, that I was not available Monday so I would just wait for the installers to fix the tires and they could come out after. Kristina said ok and that she would call the installers and let them know. I waited at my home until 3p and still no one showed. I called Jack's carpet and Kristina answered and said she had no idea if the installers were coming out or not as she never called them and told them to still come out today like she promised. I asked if they could come out tomorrow and she said no. Seeing as Jack's Carpet has an F rating with the BBB and terrible reviews on Angie's List and Yelp, I should have known this was a scam but I unfortunately didn't check the reviews beforehand. On May 15, Kristina asked for the second payment of $3,000 as she said she was going to be out on town on June 3rd and needed to get payment squared away. Thankfully I had the good sense to say no because clearly this was a lie as she was at the store today (June 3rd) when I called! This was just a lie for her to get another $3,000 from me without installing. I am honestly wondering if they ever intended to actually install any carpet. When I asked for my money back, she said there would be a 25% restocking fee! What a joke! I don't want my money back because I changed my mind about the carpet, I want my money back because they breached our agreement by not delivering in 3 weeks and have repeatedly lied to me. I don't understand how these people are allowed to keep scamming people. It is clear from all the complaints on the various sites that this business has a pattern of misrepresentation and is knowingly defrauding consumers. I will do whatever it takes to get my money back and compensation for the two month of hassle these dishonest people have put me and my family through.

Went to Humble store received quote. About a week later I went back to the store to view carpet sample again but found the store was closed. Contacted the salesman and was told store was closed due to electrical issues. I went to Champion store instead to view carpet sample. I decided I wanted to purchase carpet with Humble store and tried for over a week to order the carpet. The store remained closed so I asked salesman to place order with another store as I had all the information needed regarding style, color. Carpet was finally ordered and before the install took place discovered the Humble store closed for good. Next day my install took place with no issues. I was just glad the whole process was over.

REAL WELL

We just did one room. They were convenient, very helpful, and very nice. We had only gone to them. They had what we were looking for. They automatically upgraded to better padding for free without us having to ask them for it. I thought that was nice. It was a very pleasant experience for us. We have nothing negative to say about them.
