Overall, excellent work - I recommend them highly. I called on Thursday & got an appointment for Friday morning. Michael called before he left his office & arrived on time. He carefully analyzed the entire system & discussed each discrepancy (including the estimated cost) before proceeding. He sought ways to provide me with the best value, by giving me options (including his professional opinion of the pros & cons). He never rushed me into making a decision or pressured me into a purchase, even though the job kept consuming more & more time. By the end of the job, I was very satisfied that I had received excellent service, excellent quality & excellent value. I'll call Michael again whenever I need help with my sprinkler system.

Everything was excellent. The guy answered my call when I called and not a machine. He answered me immediately and came over the same day. It was really important because I had all new flowers put all over my yard and my sprinkler system was not working. I had brand new baby flowers, about 400 or 500 of them and they were expensive. He got in working within less than 2 hours. It is working fine now. I've used them before and they know what they are doing. I don't remember the name of the kid but he was young but he's worked with the company for a while and knows what he is doing.

They've done work for me twice. They forgot my appointments and I had to call them to remind them which was not great. When they come they are very quick at what they do. The guys that do work are very nice. They seem to know what they are doing. When they fix it, it stays fixed. They were a lot cheaper than I anticipated.

It was great - I had told him I would be taking days off in late February and I got worried because by Friday, I had not heard back from him. But he remembered our earlier discussion and said that he had planned to get there that day and told me when to expect him. He later called that he would be 15 minutes late and was right on target.

I've called them twice and they had originally installed the sprinkler system. They are friendly and thorough. They do a meticulous job.

I am very pleased with the work done by Michael and his crew. They respond quickly and promptly, diagnose the problem quickly, explain options before we agree on the course of action, explain what they are doing while the work is in progress, and explain what I can do as homeowner to keep the finished project working properly. The crew works well and quickly together, are polite, do not waste time, and cleanup the work site during and afterward. Am I satisfied with their work? Absolutely, they've done three projects for me. I recommend them to others needing irrigation and outdoor sprinkler services.

The service technician (Lee) showed up on time, was very courteous and professional. Showed me the problems and repaired them quickly. After completing the repairs, he checked the system to insure it was working properly. I will definitely use them again.

They were supposed to show up one day. I took off work and they were a no-show. It seems that other reviewers were in one of two camps - good work or no-show. Well, after the no-show, I decided that instead of an "F" on Angie's, I'd give them another shot. Not sure why, but I've forgotten stuff too. I called late in the afternoon of the day they were a no-show and the owner was very apologetic. He promised a crew first thing the next morning and they arrived a few minutes early. Both the guys were very friendly and they finished the work in under 1 hour. I'd probably use them again since they did resolve my problem and I think the price was fair. I will remind him on my next call (if I call again) how he was a no-show the first time just so they make sure and show up. I gave them a "F" on responsiveness but decided to somewhat ignore the no-show day on the other grading categories and weight it more towards the actual work performed.

We talked on the phone and agreed on a date/time for his appointment. We agreed on an hourly rate for his diagnostic work but when the time/date came Michael never showed up and what's worse, he never called to let me know that he wasn't coming. I'd taken a day off from work for this. Needless to say we do not recommend him and will never call him back.

I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Michael did a great job. He thoroughly went over how to use the system as well.

No overall since the contractor never got beyond an initial phone call.

The technician arrived promptly and checked the controller and the system. After confirming that the controller needed to be replaced, he discussed the replacement options (including the cost) and briefly left to get the type of controller that fit my needs. He quickly installed it, went over the new controller operation and features with me, and made minor repairs to the sprinkler, all within 90 minutes. He was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I was pleased with the service and I highly recommend this company.

This is a family owned business. They are knowledgeable and competent. They will stay on a problem until they find how to fix it. They tell you up front what they charge. I was happy with this company.

Excellent-they were on time on the day Mike said they'd be there. They completely repaired the site, tested all segments, smoothed the soil over the pipeline and were under budget.

Wonderful! I called the company, spoke to a real person, got a call back within an hour, and had an appointment scheduled the next day. They arrived 10 minutes before the appointment time and worked constantly until it was complete. Michael asked me to inspect his work before he left. Both Michael and his son were courteous, concerned about the small amount of mud on the paving stones and thorough. I was completely happy.

I had a hole in an underground pipe in my irrigation system. I called on Friday afternoon, was told they could come the next day. Received a call they were headed out early in the morning. They dug up the hole, patched the hole with a new section of pipe, and nicely replaced the dirt, all in about 15 minutes. Then, they spot checked the rest of the system, raised a couple of heads and realigned some others. Very quick, clean, and courteous.

The price is a little high, but they did a nice job for us.

Met with Michael on a Friday, and agreed to his estimate that afternoon. He called the line locators the following Tuesday and my lines were marked by Friday. They were at my house on Monday morning and completely installed the system that day. That's only 6 business days for a complete turnaround. I am really happy with the quality of work. The yard was completely dug up in trenches at lunchtime and by the time I got home, you had to look very hard to find where the trenches were dug. Very pleased with the service. Lee spent a good amount of time showing me everything they did and making sure all of my questions were answered. All in all, great service and I am very happy to recommend Michael and his company. Great people to work with.

Our sprinkler system was not working. We were able to schedule appointment quickly. The representative came out on time, called before arrival. He fixed the system very quickly and explained what was wrong in understandable terms. Since there was a one-hour minimum, he went through and tested the entire system, identifying and fixing some minor things.

I called in the morning and these guys were out in the afternoon. Lee and his partner were both great!

Called on Monday. They said they could do the work Wednesday morning and would arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 am. They called to be sure someone was here and they arrived around 8:00 a.m. The original reason for asking them to come out was one zone was not working. As sometimes happens; the problem seemed to have fixed itself so they suggested they check the entire system. They found a leaking rotating sprinkler head, replaced 2 nozzle heads, raised one sprinkler head and located my valve box for future reference.

Irrigation Design responded quickly and performed the work in a timely manner. This was especially refreshing since the job was small and most companies don't seen to excited about doing the small jobs. Will definitely use them again.

The Good: The techs were friendly and professional. The Bad: (1) A NO SHOW!! I sched. an app. with Mike (owner?). He was late and called me to tell me he was an hour away and couldn't do it until 2 days later (you would think they would have informed me sooner!!). (2) LOW-TECH!! They showed up to find the valve, but spent 1.5 hours (at $75/hr) using a low-tech solenoid chatterer (Tempo 24B) locating it, rather than an irrigation valve locater (like a Pro Tech 600 or Greenlee 521A). (3) OVER PRICED (RIP-OFF)!! Overall I was charges $144 to find and replace a $5 part on a valve (they charge me $40.00 to fix a valve I could have replace for less than $18). A fair price should have been less than $30.00, if they used the right equip. My advice, do some research and repair it yourself. Dirt was left in the line after their repair causing another valve to malfunction the next day. So, I borrowed a locater and fixed in 10 min for less than $15.00.

On the morning of the appointment, the owner and the crew supervisor both called to confirm the appointment and showed up as promised. All work, including replacing a broken irrigation spray head and adjusting the height and spray patterns on the entire system, was accomplished with attention to detail and with care to assure the water spray patterns were completely covering my yard and beds. The crew members were polite and cleaned up the yard and sidewalks, removing all debris and dirt left from the repairs and adjustments.
