Irrigation Design Services

We called because we thought we might be having a leak in our sprinkler system. They showed up as scheduled and got to work immediately. They discovered the leak, patiently explained the sprinkler system of our new house to us, and repaired everything needed quickly. We were happy with the work performed and will call them in the future if we need work.

Michael responded fast ( I had phone two companies before him, who were not available and needed scheduling two weeks in advance). Michael took my call last night, and said he would stop by first thing in the morning. He got here in the morning, diagnosed the problem and go to work right away. I felt well taken care of, as opposed to other contractors over quoting and under delivering. This was a good experiece, and will certianly call him any time I need help.

The man arrived and I took him around the yard, pointing out areas that weren't getting enough water. He and his helper proceeded right then and there to do the work...no scheduling, etc. DONE! Also, he didn't charge as much as I expected, based on past experiences with sprinkler people.

They did a brilliant job. Efficient, prompt and installed the whole system in 1 day. I have not had any problems with the work they have done so far.

I contacted the company via Angie's List and received a prompt reply via email. The follow up phone call and setting up a time to meet was done quickly as well. Michael was very thorough in his explanation of what would be done, what type of materials would be used, how long the job would take, and explained that I would need to have the city install a separate water meter before the work could begin (which none of the other bids mentioned). They were able to schedule the work around our extensive travel schedule. A few days before work was to begin, Michael came by with the approval form to sign in order to pull the city permit for installation. The permit was displayed on the front of the house as required for the duration of the installation. The crew arrived right on time every day. The job took 4 days. The crew hand dug each trench and when finished you could not even tell what parts of the yard had been dug up. They did an amazing job. We were given a detailed diagram of the entire system after the job was complete - even the city inspector was impressed with the detail. The job passed inspection with flying colors.

My husband received a call from Michael, who explained all trip fees and the possible solution to our problem, thus quoting an estimate over the phone. Michael came out the very next day and confirmed what he thought was the problem and fixed the broken pipe within 20 minutes. He then checked the rest of our sprinkler system, fixed two of our broken sprinkler heads and then installed a drip line in one of our flower beds. We need some additional landscaping done and will be having Michael and his team out for this project.

This company was fantastic! They ran about 20 minutes late, but in their defense they were coming from a job in the Woodlands and we live in Sugar Land and our appointment was at 4 so rush hour was high, especially on a Friday. The two workmen, Lee and Abraham were so nice and explained everything to me. They had to dig a little to fix a busted line but you can't even tell someone dug up our grass! We are new home owners and they answered all my sprinkler questions, dealing with "what is winterizing your sprinklers?" "How often should we get this checked?" "How often do we need to water during the "winter" in Houston?" I already programmed their company information into my phone and will definitely be using them again.

I was pleased with the timeliness of their response and the quality of the work. They have a set hourly rate plus parts that I think is very reasonable.They gave me an estimate to add a rain gauge and I plan to contact them in the future to add this to my system.

When the owner came out to provide a quote, I mentioned to him that I received a considerably lower quote from another company. He explained to me how some companies can do a job for much less money, but that the system would not work effectively if it's being done that cheaply. He explained this in technical detail and it all made sense. He told me that he installed a system for one of my neighbors. So, I called my neighbor and he told me his system was installed 5 years ago and that he has not had any problems. I found Mr. C. to be patient and very professional. He explained everything very well and answered my many questions. I definitely felt that I could trust him. He came when promised and the job was finished in one day. So far, so good!

Everything was done timely and professionally. Even returned grass divots to cover where the pipes were laid. You can hardly tell the yard was dug up. 10 guys worked one day, next day 5 guys worked--15-man-days of work!! When I discovered old sprinkler heads from the front were leaking, he came out and replaced them without extra charge. Michael was awesome! Great job!

I called for service, they came out at the scheduled time the next day and performed all the work in under an hour. They charge just an hourly rate, no travel or visit charge. Outstanding experience. I'll used them again.

Michael & David were on time & courteous. They knew what they were doing & did a good job. I would absolutely use these guys again. They are very honest. After making out my check & finding out that I found him through Angie's List, he told me I should go print the coupon out, so that I can save 10%. Wow... that saved me almost $45! Yes, I was very happy with this company.

Installed 8 zone irrigation system in yard. The whole process took 2 days. When they finished you could hardly tell where they had put in the system. It was a pleasure doing business with Micheal. Although they were a little more pricey then the other companies, I feel like we got what we paid for.

I did a search on Angie's list for Sprinkler repair and found that Irrigation Design Services had done excellent work in my area. I called and left Mike, the owner, a message. Since Mike was on vacation, David returned my call. David was very nice. He and his sidekick were able to come the same day, in the afternoon. David called while they were on their way to let me know they were coming. After they arrived, I met them in the driveway and David introduced himself. Extremely personable and polite fella. I explained that one of my zones was not working and that I only knew where one of the valves were and that I thought we had 4. I also showed him some dry spots that I thought my sprinkler was not getting. David started by turning on the sprinklers to see what it looked like. Zone 2 definitely was not working and the one valve that we could locate by sight happened to be for Zone 2. The wiring was bad and so we (husband and I) decided that all the valves probably needed to be replaced since they were 13 years old. David got out his valve finder and located the other 3 valves, dug them up and replaced them all. They also dug a trench and laid a line for an additional sprinkler head to cover the part of the yard that was being missed. They replaced a couple of short popups with taller ones so the water was not restricted by some yard art I had. They also when from Zone to Zone and made adjustments for correct coverage. I also inquired about a new controller since the one I had was 13 years old. We decided to have the controller replaced and Sidekick installed it and then David went through step by step on how to use it. David and sidekick were extremely knowledgeable and did a fabulous job. We were very impressed and we don't impress easily. I would recommend them to anyone that needs any lawn irrigation work. I thought the work was exceptional and they did an outstanding job and did it all with a great attitude. Thank you both.

He was expensive, more expensive than the guy I used previously. I have to call him back because I think he missed a leak. Other than that I think he was really good. I really liked him. He was very responsible, attentive and worked hard. I forgot to confirm with him if he looked at something I told him to look at and I am still seeing water. I would use him again and give him a good recommendation.

I called and spoke with Michael, told him I needed some repairs on my sprinkler system and had one that was broken. He had Lee and his helper out the next morning. Fixed repairs and added drip lines to 6 of my flower pots. Lee showed me how the drip lines work, how to clean the calcium out of the heads (about once a month-easy to do) and gave me a free drip head to familiarize myself. Also, raised and redirected my popups so my yard would be better served. Thanks Lee!!! Really polite and nice team. Worked hard and steady. Work crew called to say they could come earlier than initial time alloted. Crew did a through check of the system. Prior to replacing broken or partially working sprinkler heads/valves, all options were explained in detail. Upon work completion, a full training session was provided. Very professional, finished in less time quoted, and under budget.

Michael was good in explaining the new panel. He explained the differece between the old and the new panel. He instructed me on how to program the new panel. He tested the whole system to make sure it was working. I iiked his work and called him today to come check the system I had at my office building. I will be recommending him to my friends

I was not able to take off work to meet with Michael to get an estimate. Michael was able to design my system using a landscape design, the county's plot drawing and a visual inspection of my yard.

We are very happy with the service and will use this company again.

Called for an estimate and received a prompt visit and estimate on the spot. Had to delay start of installation until the replacemnt of fence was complete. The crew arrived on Wednesday and were complete on Thursday, except for the final city inspection planned for Friday. Since this was the week before Memorioal Day, the inspection was not completed until the next Tuesday. Fortunately, the system was functional, so I was able to run it over the weekend to keep the grass from dying. After the inspection on Tuesday, the final holes were covered and the system tested and adjusted. I did call them back to install an additiional sprinkler because I thought it needed it for coverage, but it was probably alright the way it was originally installed. I lost very little grass during the process and no plants. Almost everything was put back the way it started. I was very pleased with their work and the condition of the yard after they finished. During the installation, one of the crew noticed a water leak at my neighbor's. Since I knew they were out of town, the crew turned off the water at the meter for us. I would recommend them to anyone.

Even though Michael seemed very busy when I first called him, he actually tried to help me over the phone (for free). He told me that if that fix we did while he was on the phone, wouldn't work, then he would come out. The fix worked for a while but the issue was much bigger since I had cut the wires of my own sprinkler system. Anyway, he came out and was punctual. He was thorough in trying to figure out the issue. He fixed the wires and tested the system. Then he showed me where I had a sprinkler head that had a problem and asked me if I wanted to change it. Long story short, he was VERY helpful, knowledgable, thorough and seemed very honest. I felt that the price I paid was fair for the amount of work and fix that he did. Now we are a few weeks later and my system works great. Thanks Michael and great job. I would definitely call you again if something else came up.

Overall, it was a good experience and they talked me through everything they would be doing. I have some experience with the system and had been trying to diagnose it myself and fix it. There was no BS, they talked me through the technical issues and showed me how the sprinkler heads would be working if there were less heads/more water pressure to the zones.

They were able to install the 4 zones earlier than quoted. Crew did a great job and left the yard neat and clean. Would use them again if needed.

They provided very fast, quality service at a reasonable price. They were able to come just two days after I called. The technicians were very pleasant to work with. They were a little late arriving, but they called ahead of time to let me know they were running a little behine schedule. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.
