Irrigation Design Services

We had a leak in our irrigation system and several of the sprinkler heads were not working. I called several places and Irrigation Design Services was able to come out quickly to look at our system. They sent out Lee and a helper. Our system hadn't been serviced in several years and needed a good bit of work. I thought they did a very good job of fixing things and suggested options for us. I would definitely use them again.

First of all, this review is LONG overdue ? totally my fault... Mr. Carrizales ("Michael") was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, as have been all of his employees. He has kept all appointments in a timely manner The system was installed as specified and functions perfectly. About a month after the initial installation we needed a slight "tuning" of some of the sprinkler patterns, and Michael was once again prompt and professional. When we accidentally damaged one of the underground pipes while planting in the back yard, Michael advised me on how I could best repair the damage myself (at my request) and has never failed to answer phone calls promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend IDS for ANYONE requiring irrigation services ? a total professional and super-easy to work with.

The Technicians called about 20 minutes before arrival and as soon as they arrived, we discussed the concerns with my sprinkler system and they went to work immediately assessing and repairing the sprinkler heads in my yard that were either not workking or not to capacity. They also, per request, assessed some standing water in my back yard. They checked the meter and determined the standing water is not a leak in my system and is not from water that is running through my meter. The charge was very reasonable and I was very pleased with their professionalism. I have set another appointment for them to come back and give me an estimate to install a French Drain to alleviate the standing water issue. This company is very professional and charges are very reasonable and I would definitely recommended to family and friends.

Michael Carrizales was a pleasure to work with. We walked our property together and looked at each head, discussed the problems and he repaired everything. All sod was replaced neatly and all broken parts were removed. He had to replace one control value, explained how it worked and showed me the broken part. He answered many questions about my system as well as the pros and cons of a drip system for my yard. He explained the Master Value and how it would impact our ability to shut off our system. I received a phone call one day prior and the morning of the repair to confirm. He was professional, prompt, courteous and friendly. I will definitely call him again for sprinkler repair. I also will pass his name on to a group of gardening friends who meet monthly. I highly recommend him-you won't be sorry!

The service was AWESOME! When I scheduled my appointment I asked to be contacted at least 20 minutes in advance so I could meet them at the house. Mr. Carrizales called me at 9:20 AM to let me know he was on the way and said he'd be there by 9:50. He arrived exactly on time! That in itself is a first time experience for me. Not often do service companies show up when then say they will. Mr. Carrizles was very courteous, friendly, very knowledgeable and made me comfortable working with him. I told him the problem. He tested the controller, found the issue and fixed it immediately. He answered all my 'other' questions as they kept coming to mind. (Yes, I took full advantage having him at my disposal!) I pointed out the risers in my front flower bed and asked how to change them out and he asked if I'd like him to change them. I asked what it would cost, he gave me a price and I told him to go ahead. He changed those out in a matter of minutes, He also replaced some other nozzles at my request and adjusted several of my sprinkler heads to allow for better coverage. Everything was complete within an hour. I would give Irrigation Design Services the highest possible rating you have! I will certainly use him again if need be. I plan to pass on his business card to a neighbor who recently asked about my system. Certainly wish I would have known about Irrigation Design Services when I was looking to have a system installed. We had to schedule the service twice. The first time we scheduled they were running behind several hours and we needed to leave town. We called an rescheduled for 10 days later. They were scheduled to arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 am. They arrived around 10:00. Given the rain we had early in the year and the dry spell we are currently experiencing, the company seems to be swamped. I believe that they are double booking their crews who are tring to get to everyone as quickly as possible. Other than that, the service was great. We thought we had a leak in our system because their was standing water in our yard. That turned out to be a woter main leak on the MUD's side of the meter. Michael Carrizales was our service tech. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty modular control unit. They replaced the control unit as well as replacing four popups, adding two extenders and replacing six nozzels. This was all done in less than an hour. Great job at a reasonable price.

Attempted to contract this service through Angie's list to take advantage of coupon. The company asked for my address which I provided and can document that I provided them. I did not receive any subsequent response whatsoever from this company. I have to work every day and trying to schedule a service with a company that does not respond is more than frustrating.

Much better than I had anticipated...I expected a "nothing is right about your system" I originally had pierced a pipe with my shovel and had wanted them to repair this and then review the effectiveness of my installation from 6 yrs ago. I repaired the leak myself because it turned out to be much easier than I had expected...and they were going to be a few days to get to it. When then scheduler call to confirm my address the day before the appointment, I told her that I had repaired it, but still wanted them to give my system a tune up...she was just as enthusiastic as when the repair could have made the service much more desirable, and profitable. They were a little late arriving, but I realized they were swamped and had gotten backed up. Lee the technician and his helper couldn't have been more pleasant, and or efficient. No wasted time, and took the time to go over the changes and why they should be done. I have a system that again works well and a "Sprinkler and Design" firm I will use again... and highly recommend. Angies List once again...proves its worth.

Contact the provider via Angie's List message and was able to find a time to fit in my schedule. The crew was here within their given service window and were able to work quietly until my two young children were awake. Appreciate they were able to show me how to program the new controller and set it to water according to The Woodlands scheduled.

Michael was the tech and had a helper. They arrived on time. I had a problem with only 2 of 6 zones working and a broken rotor head. He immediately replaced the broken rotor head and then troubleshooted the zone problem. We had replaced a broken fence post several months ago and apparently cut the rain sensor line. Michael found the problem, repaired the sensor line and all was well with the world again. At least my lawn irrigation world. Michael was friendly, explained what he was doing as he went looking for the trouble spot, and made the problem look easy to fix as only somone who is skilled at his trade can. Would call again without hesitation.

Michael Carrizales contacted me right away and came out to take measurements the following day. Jon and the crew showed up early both days and worked all day long to install the sprinkler system. Jon and Michael were super nice and very professional. The price was extremely reasonable as well. I am happy with the work performed and would definitely recommend Irrigation Design Services to anyone.

Above The service people (Les and another) who came to my home were very efficient! They brought my system up to speed in less than an hour! They did a terrific job. I was in town helping an elderly parent, and it sounded like he had bad experiences with his previous sprinkler repairman (e.g., overpricing, overselling). This team was prompt, professional, quickly fixed the broken sprinkler head and then proceeded to check the entire system for my Dad. Plus they give a senior discount! I'll definitely encourage my parents to use them again - seems like my parent have finally found a great service to help them out in the future.

The installation crew showed up when promised and did the installation promptly. They took the time to instruct us on the use of the controller and demonstrate performance of each zone. Fantastic service!

The crew showed up as scheduled at 8 am. Once I walked them through what needs to be done, they got to work right away. They were very professional and completed the work to my satisfaction. They had to halt work for 30 - 45 mins due to rain, but started again under a slight drizzle. I was given an estimate for 3 hrs of labor and equal cost for parts. So at $85/hr, I was expecting to pay $510. But when the work was done it ended up being $670, 30% higher, so the rating of B for price. They honored the 10% Angies list discount, so the final cost was $600.

The work took less than an hour and they left the yard the way they found it. The charge was $145 but with a 10% coupon on Angie's List, the total charge was $130.50. I was very impressed with their professionalism and quality of work. I will definitely use them again!

It was a great experience the two technicians were on time and very professional. Hourly rate was 85.00 so they did not waste any time getting to work. We had numerous broken sprinkler heads, roters and leaks that needed to be replaced as well as adjustments. They were done in under 2 hours. Outstanding work, our system had not run this good in a while.

I called on Friday, and they did the work the next day, Saturday. It took them a little over an hour. Michael Carrizales came out with one other worker. They were very professional and thorough. They tested the old controller and found it damaged. They replaced it with a more up-to-date controller. Michael explained the operation of the new controller very thoroughly, and they tested the system before leaving. I would highly recommend this firm for any lawn irrigation needs.
