Description of Work: I hope I did not buy the coupon. Very difficult to schedule and they came when I was away. They said it is clean now. Three months later green small plants start growing in the Guttures. I called another company and they showed me that nothing was cleaned the first time. Major disappointment.

Description of Work: A gutter came loose from the 2nd story of my house. They fixed it and gave other gutters a tune-up. Only criticism is an apparent lack of communication in the office. For the initial estimate I told the person who answered the phone at the office that I would need an hour's notice to get to the house. The estimator called me when he was just 5 minutes from my house.

Description of Work: After researching gutter cleaning and repair services in Houston,Texas. I selected Berger Home Services because of their high Angie's List and other ratings as well as their website content and mission statement, and of course the great value of the service offered. After purchasing the coupon, I contacted the company, and within a week, a representative came to my town home to assess the job and make sure that it met the requirements to receive this deal.. It did. About a week later, a date for service was assigned to me within a certain time window. On the date the service was supposed to occur, the cleaning and repair specialist arrived late, well past the window stated.With apologies, for appearing so late. The gentleman was very courteous, however, because the work order did not specify that I live in a town home, he did not have a long enough ladder to do the job.. Again, with apologies.. Another service window was established for the following day(I believe it was 9 to noon). I told the repair gentleman to be sure that the dispatcher did not assign him to another job in the morning, so he could complete the work as promised during the service window. The gentleman did not arrive before noon on that day, and I started making phone calls to the company to inquire what had happened. I was told that he was working on another job that was assigned to him by the dispatcher, and that he should arrive within the next two hours. As it was getting late, I inquired by phone with the owner what was the status. He called me back, again with apologies, and informed me that the gentleman was in transit, but traffic was very bad. The gentleman finally arrived(he was very polite). He was aware of my window of service, but had to follow the direction of the dispatcher who had assigned him another job. The gentleman completed the job in an efficient and neat manner.. We have not had a significant rainfall since his work was completed, but I am hopeful that the leaking and overflow issues with my gutters have been resolved. Even before the work had been completed, the owner, Mr.Berger called me apologizing for all the mix ups, and offered me a full refund.. He was embarrassed by his companies performance and assured me that this was not the way he does business.. He instructed me to contact Angie's List and begin the process for receiving the refund.. I believe that Berger Home Services is a fine company that unfortunately had a big failing in communication and priorities. And, I feel confident that the mistakes that resulted would be seriously addressed with all employees. Mr. Berger did the right thing, without excuses..

Description of Work: I was contacted promptly after buying the deal and the provider scheduled a visit to my home to assess the job before scheduling a date for service. After the assessment visit, I was informed that they could not perform the work because my gutters have a cap. There was nothing in the deal fine print about this exclusion. The firm was professional throughout.

Description of Work: After buying the Big Deal for gutter replacement on the 4th, I got an email from Brandy within the hour. The estimator came out the following morning after having given me a call to give me time to get home to meet him. He told me that they might not be able to get to me until a week after. However, he called me later that day and said they'd be able to fit me in on Monday. I got home Monday evening and saw that the gutters had been installed. I'm very happy with their work and will be only too happy to recommend them.
