Eric Herrera Tile

In my opinion Eric Herrera Tile is the best tile contractor in the Houston area. This is NOT a shady contractor with sub-par work. They are professional, very detailed, and leave you home in better condition than they found it. They also rearranged their schedules after a delay by my plumbing contractor. I have used Eric Herrera Tile before with my kitchen and would advise anyone with tile work to talk with Eric before having another contractor work on their project.

I have used Eric Herrera Tile in the past to tile my master bedroom a few years ago. At that time he gave me a quote for removing the other tile in my downstairs and replacing it with the same tile I had him install in the bedroom. When I called him to come by again for an estimate he arrived exactly when he said he would be here. He even honored the original estimate that was at least 2 years old! I purchased the tile separately and Eric picked it up and arrived at the arranged time to begin the work. They put up plastic to keep as much dust as possible out of the rest of the home. They worked very quickly and were done in the exact time frame he had told me. They picked up as much as possible before leaving and were always here when they said they would be. I had dreaded this work because I had a fiasco with the company who remodeled my bathroom. This time, however, was the exact opposite and I could not have been happier. Every one assured me that I would not be happy tearing up the existing tile and starting over but Herrera Tile proved them all wrong.

They responded quickly and even came early to get started but it went down hill fast. The men got dirt and debris all over my new stair carpet and did not cover anything until I said something. They installed several broken and chipped tiles that my husband had to ask to be replaced, wall tile is not flush, they started putting the wrong tile in the wrong place and did not even ask what to do. The owner did not show up with the workers and there was a lack of communication. And the owners son was busy on the phone a lot and was talking about court dates. This did not make us feel good about them in our home. They did not cover our brand new tub before starting and now there are scratches.

I would not ever consider this company for work in the future.

We needed a shower recaulked. They came to give us an estimate for removing the old caulk and installing new. When we asked when they could do the work, they said "now" so we had them do it right away. The new caulk looks great, appears not to leak and they left the bathroom clean. I would use them again.

I would highly recommend Eric Herrera tile ? we had a great experience working with them. Eric was prompt to schedule an estimate and returned the numbers back to me the same day. For the work were having done, his estimate was very reasonable, and he outlined each expense so we could clearly see what the charge for each component was. We were able to schedule quickly with Eric to get started as soon as our tile order was in. He was easy to communicate with through the whole process and responded quickly to my questions. Our job took 4 days and each day his guys showed up on time and worked HARD for the full day. They were extremely polite, respectful of our home, and super efficient with their work. It was great to see all that was accomplished in such a short amount of time! They were helpful in explaining the process and providing guidance on what would come next and when. Eric came by at the end of the job to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction and billed us exactly for what he had estimated ? no surprises. We have had a couple of shower door estimators come through since, and all have commented on what a nice job Eric?s team did with the tile ? and they see a lot of bathrooms! Reasonable pricing, high quality work, efficient and respectful workers ? all reasons I would recommend Eric and would use his team again for our home.

It was super quick and pleasant. I found some dust from the tile, but that is expected. I love my shower now!

Over all very good, they did track white dust everywere however

I had porcelain tile installed in kitchen and three bathrooms by another company. Grout color was too light and grouting in kitchen was very sloppy. Eric's men fixed the problem by regrouting and color sealig the tile. They did a very good job at a reasonable price.

His son and one other worker came to do the work. They were on time, polite, professional and did a beautiful job. I would reccomend them and would use them again.

Wonderful work. Incredible price. Mr. Herrera came out and gave me a bid to do the work. He said he would be there at ten and the doorbell rang at ten. He quickly assessed the work I needed done and promptly submitted a bid. I accepted and his workers came just a few days later to do the work. It is beautiful. Everything they did is perfect and I could not be happier with it. The wall that they redid was done by a large flooring store here in Houston. The people from the large store did a horrible job and I could never get them back. Mr. Herrera and company repaired the work and it looks fabulous. He understood from the get go what I wanted and delivered. I am going to take my kitchen down to the studs in January and the only tile company to do any work will be his. He will be the tile person I use forever and I whole heartedly recommend him to anyone that needs tile work large or small.

The job was done with high quality, attention to detail, always with professional courtesy and communication. His crew is neat, respectful and experienced. Eric went beyond and send his crew two times to stain the grout as we were not happy with the appearance. They washed grout twice as well, to prep it. No questions asked, Eric sent crew and made us happy. Everything we asked and pointed out they addressed with no complaints, and it was a big project. In two baths we had carpet before, so they adjusted the floor and walls for appropriate installation. We were extremely satisfied. We remodeled entire house, and out of four contractors we hired, we were most satisfied with Eric Herrera.

We had a very tight schedule to install our new tile and Eric's team did a great job.

Had one of his employees replace some broken tiles a couple of months ago. While that employee was working Eric came by and we talked about re-coloring the kitchen floor tile. When we were ready, I set up an appointment with Eric. He came to the house in a timely manner and started the kitchen floor tile cleaning, sealing and re-coloring. With his employee and a pair of toothbrushes, Eric commenced to work. Hands and knees with a toothbrush. They did a good job. The tile looks new.

We had to have them redo the shower floor, as there was some miscommunication on how high the shower floor was supposed to be relative to the bathroom floor. They got it right and my wife was quite happy. The tile grout she picked out did not look as she expected, so Eric used some grout coloring material to change the color to make the shower look as we had intended. I would highly recommend Eric. He did everything asked of him to make to end product look exactly as we wanted.

Eric himself came out and checked out the problem - 2 other contractors said "rip it out and start over" - Eric was the only one to say - "lets try this first"...well guess what - he saved us over $4,000 by being innovative, conservative and honest - he "drained" the shower at the base of the wall and allowed the water to drain from behind the tile - he sent his crew back and they sealed all the 45 degree meet points - we tested for a week and all was good. I am a Real Estate Broker and in my 30 years this guy was the most honest and knowledgeable contractor I have worked with. He is prompt / professional / conservative and CLEAN - no mess after the job Absolutely no question we will use him not only for repairs for but for rehab and/or new construction. Eric - thanks brother - you saved me a ton of headaches!

He gave us a quote within a day of our initial call. A few weeks later we called and asked him to do the job. He worked with us on the job going over our expectations until we were thrilled. He never made us settle and pushed himself and his crew to make our porches beautiful. Very satisfied and would hire him and recommend him.

Eric was very responsive and returned my call immediately. He came out the same day I called him to do an estimate. I was surprised by the estimate and decided to go with his company. His price was mid-way between the two lowest estimates I received. He gave contact information for the plumber and shower installation company. Eric and I texted a couple of times, but he sent his contractors to my house very shortly after we initially spoke. The work performed was awesome!!!! I am very happy with the results. His contractors were very responsive, prompt, responsible and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves eveyday and told me when they would be back the next day. My bathroom looks amazing, I am happy I called Eric! His price is exactly what he quoted me, no hidden charges. Thanks, Eric!

Awesome work! We interviewed a number of companies prior to selecting Eric. We are very pleased with the great attention to detail. He and his brother were on site checking on the progress each day and we always felt we were in good hands. The crew were all very professional and worked steadily throughout the day. The end result is a bathroom that looks amazing!

Outstanding! My wife and I were very pleased with their work in every respect. If I have future tiling projects, I will have absolutely no hesitation in using them again.

I can't say enough good things about Eric Herrera tile. He gave me a written estimate which he stuck to. His guys showed up on the day scheduled and finished the job earlier than expected. What was most impressive to me was that they erected clear plastic sheeting over their work area in an attempt to limit the amount of tile dust that blew into my house. They hauled away all the carpeting they replaced, saving me the hassle of doing it. Most importantly, the tile looks fantastic. My only regret is that I did not have Eric Herrera and his team come by when I bought the house and have them do every room. These guys are great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them our use them in the future.

I am super Leary of contractors due to prior bad experiences. But, I can honestly say I would use them again in the future without hesitation. We had one minor concern which we brought to Eric's attention. He immediately was on top of it and took care of it right away. These guys stand behind there work and provide something that can rarely be found these days, customer satisfaction!

Called him in for estimate. He suspected our beautiful marble tile bath needed whole replacement due to poor underfloor. We weren't convinced, so hired him to just repair loose tiles. I came in to check on the job and talked to the workers. They showed me how bad the sub flooring was so in the middle of job we changed to entire re-tile. He had some great recommendations for tile stores and even agreed to pick up the tile for me. They worked fast and MAN, when I saw the finished job I was impressed! It was beautiful, quality work! It looked amazing! We decided not to retile a secondary, smaller bath that had the same problem so they just repaired that. They also recalked our other bathroom. They also sealed our marble counter top. Eric is great. Fairly easy to reach by phone, but also does text messaging which is sometimes easier. Two issues that he was extremely professional about. We mistakenly had our house newly painted and floors refinished before they did the work. They dropped some of the tiles and left some marks on my wood floor and we found some scratches in the walls. I mentioned it to him and he promptly apologized and asked his guys to be more careful. Secondly, we had a lot of different workers in and out of the house. We noticed a few of our own tools went missing. I asked him if they got bundled into his workers' tools when they cleaned out. He promptly checked with his guys and reported back to me then offered to buy us replacements if we couldn't find them. Nice guy, very professional. No hesitation recommending him. He does the best job and in a timely fashion.

It might be better in the future for Mr. Herrera to be up-front with his customer and tell them he doesn't want to do the job. Honesty is always your best policy. If the job is too small then just say so. Very disappointed! Cannot in all honesty recommend someone that is not honest with his customers! Will definitely NOT be using Mr. Herrera.

Eric called and met me one day after my request for quote. He was on time for our meeting and provided the quote the same day. Very satisfied.
