I called Clean Air and they came out within 48 hours.  I was impressed with the fact that they were so accommodating to my schedule.  The guys showed up and were extremely professional.  I hadn't had my ducts clean before, so they were happy to explain the process to me and show me the steps they were going to take to ensure everything was done properly.  I had mold in my ducts (which explained the horrific allergies I've been dealing with) and recommended a mold treatment.  Again, they showed me everything so I could make a proper decision.  When they were finished, they left my home cleaner than when they arrived!
On top of everything, they were willing to help me by allowing to pay in 2 payments and being a single mother, I was overjoyed!  When I thought they couldn't get any better, they gave me a military discount!
I would highly recommend this company to everyone!

I called Clean Air America because I had problems with my AC unit.  It was not cooling at all.  They had someone come out that day and they checked my AC unit and found I needed a new unit.  Clean Air America charged me $3800.00 and their competitor came out and for the exact same unit wanted 6900.00.  I could not believe it.  I would recommend Clean Air America to everyone I know.

They were the ones that broke the dryer brush off in my vent and left it there. They were the ones that did not even clean my AC vent but charged me for them. I would never use them. What they did was he took his phone and he would show me pictures of air ducts and how dirty mine was and no idea if that was really my vent.
Response from Clean Air America
"We are deeply sorry to hear this. Can you please call the office and we will have a manager come to your home. We have not had a missing brush on any vans, so we would like to investigate this more. Please contact us, so we can make this right for you."

I purchased a promotional coupon for the vents cleaning.  It was valued at 349.00 for 49.00.  Yep I got suckered.  After purchasing I went to schedule and they told me it would be a month before they could come.  A month came and went and a "No show".  I called that afternoon to see what happened and they claimed a computer glitch and they lost my reservation.  So I rescheduled for a following Monday.  That Monday they called and said they had to reschedule.  We rescheduled for the following Wednesday.  The guys came and brought a commercial vacuum,  removed the vents and of course they went right for the mold story.  After showing me the vents they wanted to charge me for 3 sprays to remove the mold and clean which would cost me 750.00 additional dollars.  I thanked them and sent them on the way.  So I payed 49.00 for something I could have done myself, vacuum the vents.
Response from Clean Air America
"I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the results. Please contact our office immediately and we will have a manager investigate what happened and see if we can make this right."

My floor refinisher agreed to pay for A/C duct cleaning in my home after
running the A/C while sanding my hardwoods and this filling the house
with dust.  He used a Groupon for Clean Air America and ended up paying
approximate $49 for the service, so I did not hire CAA myself.
CAA came to my house on October 24 and performed the duct cleaning.
(This was after missing completely a previous appointment on Oct 14,
for which I missed an entire day of work, and CAA never followed up.
the floor refinisher had to repeatedly call their 800 number to
reschedule. I also called multiple times, costing me probably another
hour of work time.)  I was at work when they performed the service, so
my 80-year-old mother let the tech in.
After the cleaning, the tech calls me at the office and says he found
mold in the ducts "due to the excessive dust generated by the floor
refinisher."  He said the mold was in a difficult-to-access part of the
system, in the attic.  I asked for a photo.  He texted me a photo of a
few spots of what could have been mold, mildew, or just rust, which
appeared to be on the frame of the evaporator coil.  He said he could do
a mold treatment, and that it would be $250, instead of their "usual
price" of $500.  I was uncomfortable with this but was late for an
important meeting and couldn't pursue it at that time, so I agreed to the service,
thinking that as far as mold is concerned, better safe than sorry.
My mother told me that the tech spent no more than 5 additional minutes
and did not use any special physical protection or equipment. I later texted the tech and asked
what agent and method he used, and he told me Quat 39 and a
fogger.  Quat 39 is $17/gallon, and I figured he used maybe a tablespoon
at most.  So for <5 min and basically $0 cost, I paid $250.  This
made me suspicious so I did some research.  Companies are not supposed
to perform mold remediation without testing the sample first, and the
same company that tests is not supposed to deliver remediation service.
In addition, this has been reported nationwide as a bait-and-switch
technique.
I have made at least 3 calls to the company.  Finding a real phone
number and address was quite a challenge, and I finally found the
information on the  BBB website, and the address is different than the one here on AL. You will NEVER get through on the 800 number.   I talked to a male (William?) twice, who identified himself as a manager, and on another occasion to a female who
identified herself as the only manager.  They were both polite and said
they would take my concerns to the owner.  I was assured each time that
the owner would call me himself (on the last occasion "within 2 hours")
but this has never happened.
I believe that I was sold a bogus service, and I would like the fee refunded.  I gave C's on quality and professionalism only because I have nothing against the tech. I don't actually know how good a job he did.

They showed up in the alloted window of time given. They did call before hand to let me know they were on their way. They were very polite and Trevor was very professional. After inspecting the AC unit they brought in the equipment got set up to do the service. Part of the deal I got was one free sevice with duct cleaning and I choose to have my carpets cleaned. They decided to start with that instead of cleaning my duct system and here is why. It was a bait and switch. They gained access through offering me a low priced service so they could upsale. They anchor themselves by preforming the " free" service. While the other person is busy the other informs you have mold and they can not do a regular duct cleaning because it would just release the spores into the system but for $400 they could remove the mold. I called my husband who never answered which turns out to be good because I sent them on their way. After some investigating this is what I learned. First off this company does not even have the proper equipment to properly clean an air duct system. It was not big enough because they brought inside. Unless they had another outside in the van like they needed but since they used the one machine to clean my carpets and switched out the attachments waiting for meto say yes to $400 I don't think so. Also a proper cleaning should take 2 hours not the 45 minutes or so they said it would take. Other places I called after they left said that $400 to $800 is alot to charge for a cleaning. All systems have some mold. Proper maintenance is key. So my advice is BUYER BEWARE!

They only went into the attic and cleaned out the vents supposedly. They said I had mold in there and showed me. I saw some markings there, but not sure what the heck mold looks like. From there the upselling began. It would cost upwards of $1900 to have them clean out the mold. The guy seemed nice, but they didn't clean any of the returns in the house, they just spent about 30 minutes or so in the attic and that was that. They gave us two free services because we basically used two coupons (one for each unit). The guys cleaned our dryer vent but did a crappy job of putting it back. We were supposed to have a free AC checkup too, but the guy never showed up for the appointment. I'm not really sure if they even cleaned anything, so I'm just going to search Angies List for another contractor instead of relying on too-good-to-be-true coupons! I feel like I paid $120 for two guys to come and sit in my attic for 30 minutes. Awesome.

It was terrible.  Unmarked van, no company shirts.  They never even opened my vents and told me they needed $1,300 to clean the air ducts.  The claimed there was too much mold to do the $59 job I purchased.  After I refused to pay the $1,300 they said they cleaned one units vents, but still never opened the air ducts, the builder's tape was still on.  They claimed they cleaned the dryer vent, I am unsure if this was done.  They were gone within 30 minutes.
I later had another company come and examine my air ducts and there was no mold or issue with anything.  I understand now that $59 is not emough money for true air duct cleaning, but they should not offer this "bait and switch" kind of product.

They started off by arriving 30 minutes early. I asked them if they had shoe covers/scrubs because I had just cleaned the carpets and they said no, we don't do that.  They proceeded to to the attic, and not even 5 minutes later, they come downstairs to inform me that they are unable to clean the air vents because he found mold caked up in the AC unit.  He continued to explain that he would have to treat the mold first in order to clean the ducts, and that the treatment cost would be about $400.00.  They asked me to come up and take a look at it, but I told him I have no idea what mold looks like so that would not make any difference. So I told him that my husband was not available at that time, and I wanted to have him check it first, before making a decision on spending $400.00 on the treatment.  He kept on trying to tell me why I should have it done immediately, and if there was anyway I could call my husband and decide right then and there.  Once again my response was "no", I needed him to be home and look at unit himself.  Then he proceeded to tell me that he could not perform the duct cleaning without first applying the treatment, but he could go ahead and do the free service of cleaning the dryer vent. While cleaning the dryer vent, one of the technicians asked me if he could use my bathroom. In a moment of shock, I allowed him to go downstairs and showed him where the bathroom was. Once completed, he handed me the invoice for the entire service.  The ad was for $59.00, but he invoiced me for $60.00 plus tax.  After they left, I went to the bathroom, and the man hadn't even flushed the toilet!!  I also had to re-shampoo the carpet due to the mess that was left from cleaning the dryer vent.  I also found a bolt laying on my carpet that I had no idea where it came from!  I have NEVER had such a pair of unprofessional workers coming into my home.  I still don't understand why I had to pay for the full service when it was not performed.  My advice would be to not use this company.

I think that I did get my money's worth in the UV lights I had installed in the plenum (located in attic and basically will zap mold, dust, allergens and bacteria before it recirculates into my air system.)  Two technicians returned to install this 3 days later  These 2 techs were very nice, helpful, and professional.  They also brought the requested documentation on the chemicals used in the foggers.  I am still  uncertain that the mold/mildew fogger is safeto breathe in because it listed 3 hazardous chemicals in the ingredients.  I am concerned by this and Michael did NOT tell me this on day 1 of service.  He told me he would drink it.
This comapny also cleaned/shampooed the master bedroom, master bathroom, and master bedroom closet carpet free of charge with coupon,Two of the technicians went outside to take cigarette breaks while working at my house.  One went out to the truck and the other smoked near my front bushes.  This was unprofessional, especially since they were working for Clean Air America.  I did report this to the owner.  The 2 technicians who installed the UV lights on a separate day were very nice and professional.  The first technicians did give me 15% off original service price of $1579 which brought the total I paid to $1350.
I think all in all I paid too much for the sanitizer and mold control fogger that they put in my system.  Michael told me this had to be done before the UV lights were installed in order for them to work properly. I regret paying that amount, but was trying to help my sick child at the time. All I can say is Buyer BewareThis is the main reason I joined Angie's List... I want to find out what all of your experiences have been with this company or this type of service.

I had purchased an Urban Dealight group buying deal for a ful air duct/dryer vent/unlimited vents and returns, but only needed my dryer vent done. Prior to purchase I called the company to make sure they could perform the tricky service and on a convenient date. We scheduled for me to be the FIRST stop on a Saturday that I had appointments at 11 and beyond.

My main gripe is that they were an hour and a half late, and didn't call. When I finally called the office after waiting all morning, the woman who answered was rude to me, and additionally told me that I was still the first house stop but that they'd had "problems with the ladder on the truck" - which I later found out was a lie, they forgot to have me be the first stop. She also told me the driver was 5-10 minutes away and it took him an additional 25 minutes, and she didn't pick up the phone or return my call when I called back. Her lack of professionalism and attitude were intolerable, and I don't enjoy being lied to.

When Ricky's crew finally arrived, he was pleasant, fast, and did the job well. My dryer vent seems to be functioning fine so far, and they left no mess.

I would consider hiring them again because of Ricky only, and if the pricing was favorable. Overall I ended up happy to have found the deal.

They called ahead and arrived promptly and were very friendly. They took their time and really cleaned the carpets.  The carpets are bright white now! I had pet stains and they were able to disinfect and remove all of them.  They even pointed out one spot they weren't able to get to in between the bed and nightstand.  We moved the nightstand and they went back and cleaned that spot.  The carpets look great and the dog smell is gone!

I hired this company to clean my air ducts. I have two air conditioning/heating units in my home. Over the phone I was quoted $59.00 per each unit and a complimentary carpet cleaning or cleaning of all of the vents. I chose to have them clean my vents. Never, in my initial contact with this company or before the work was performed was I told that there would be extra charges to clean and santitize my ducts and never did anyone who represented this company tell me that what I had them do was only a bandaid treatment. They found mold and mildew especially in my upstairs ducts. After they finished the job they replaced all of the vents and then came and asked me if I wanted to spend another $279.00 for adding some chemicals to kill the mold in my ducts. I knew that I needed to do some homework on the subject as I am an expecting grandmother and my grandchild will be living in my home for the first few months. I declined any further service from them and explained that I would have to look into it further. After they left my home I noticed a scratch on my laminate flooring in the area that they were vacuuming an area rug of mine with a metal vacuum head. We called the company and no one was interested in helping us with this problem. The next morning when the heat kicked on a pile of black mold/mildew flew out of the upstairs vents in three rooms landing all over my grandbaby's new furniture and all over my daughters sheets and comforter. There was also black dust all over the carpet in the baby's room. When we called to talk to the owner/manager he was extremely rude and argumenttive about the entire event and told us that we were cheap and only got what we paid for which was apparently "nothing" because I still have black dust flying out of my vents. I now have to call another company to do the work that I already paid this company to do for me. I also have to call a flooring company to come and replace the laminate that was scratched by the Clean Air service people. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone and I will never use their service again, if you can call it that. It was nothing but a pain in my life and they only left me with more work to do than what I started with.
Response from Clean Air America
"We came to do a basic cleaning to vacuum and brush each duct. It states that on our coupon and you get a free service with the $59 coupon. If someone has mold it is an extra charge. The $59 is just vacuuming and brushing of the ducts. Alesha Hilburn, Manager."
