Called Friday morning to get an estimate and he came out about two hours later. His estimate was one of the lowest, although you wouldn't know it by the quality of the job. He came out with one other person the very next day and completed everything within 3 hours (it would taken me all weekend and I wouldn't of been able to do any where near the same quality). Both workers were professional and cleaned up well after they were finished. I already have some more work in mind that I want Chavez to do, I will be using him again in about a month or two.

I called on Tuesday, he said he would be there at 4pm that day to give me a quote. He arrived at 3:59. Said he could do it the next day, would take him four hours with a helper, and he would be there at 9am. He arrived at 8:58 and did the work with his helper, and called me to say he was done at 1:15. I asked him to bid on additional work, our new house in Austin (interior paint and texture, walls, ceilings, all trim and woodwork)- He arrived early and by the time I arrived he had already worked up a quote for me. Joe subbed the work out to another guy (who I added to Angie's list today). He did not do the work himself, only came to give a bid and pick up the checks. He was prompt and courteous and did good work, but was not clear about subbing the work out, up front. The job is Austin was completed by the sub-contractor he chose, and I was very happy.

Chavez Painting came in lower than what the insurance company estimated that they would. The part of the ceiling that they patched is seemless. They kept the home as dust free as possible, we didn't even have to ask. They cleaned up beautifully when they left. My husband kept badgering them, and they were never once impatient.

Joe quickly responded to a request for a bid, came to our house that evening and emailed us an estimate the same evening. Joe is very friendly, easy to deal with and we agreed to have his company do the work. He and his crew were punctual, neat and polite at all times and were pleasant to have around. After the work was started we discovered, as we suspected might be the case, that some of the molding was damaged and had to be replaced. It added to the work and delayed the finish slightly, but Joe really impressed with his ability to juggle his time and get the whole job done within a reasonable time. He came out by himself on a Saturday to do the final touches and make sure all was right. Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of the work done, the time that it took to complete it, how changes were responded to, the price paid and the total experience.

The project went well. The worker was very friendly and did good work.

I thought I could walk around in the attic. They came right out, assessed the cost, returned the next day and finished it. Took a long time to get the paint and they did not perfectly match the previous texture as promised, however, no big deal.

I called on a Wednesday. He said he could come by the next day for an estimate and would call to set up a time. He called and came the next day, quickly wrote up an estimate, and said he could do the work on Saturday. He arrived on Saturday on time and went straight to work. He did a great job - I can't distinguish the repaired spots from the rest of the wall. He even repaired an extra spot I hadn't noticed before without charging me extra. He dried the paint before leaving, reattached the window blinds that had to be taken down for one repair, and swept the floor (he used drop cloths, but the floor had gotten a little dusty). He was very efficient and clean, and a very pleasant person. I would definitely call him again.

They did the assessment and said they would send an email and they never got back to me. This was about six weeks ago.

Jose was traveling around the time I asked him for an estimate, so he was a little slow to respond. I showed him the unit and described the work I needed done, and it then took him a few days to get back to me with a quote. Once he did, and I decided to hire him for the job, everything went smoothly. He came by my house with color cards and helped me choose appropriate colors. He met me at the duplex on time and got right to work. He and his assistant did a great job. They were very neat and made sure to protect the hardwood floors. Jose even offered to paint an extra room that had some stains I hadn't noticed at a very reasonable cost with some extra paint that he already had. His helper finished the final touches on the front door in the afternoon on the Friday that Hurricane Ike made landfall. Despite the oncoming storm, he did a professional job and cleaned up before leaving. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the work. I will definitely use Jose again the next time I need some painting done.

Started out well. The prep team worked well. One guy on the prep team was able to speak English. He was very professional, and was not the owner, Chavez. This specific individual was the only person who informed me of specific problems during the job. This team was not present during the painting process. Once pressure spraying was completed this team left. Then the other workers came in (non English speaking) for the final caulking of windows and exterior painting. At this point there was no communication. Once the painting was finished I was told by Chavez that they were going to come back and clean off the bit of overspray that was on my windows. Also overspray that was on several of my door knobs in the rear of my home, and put all my patio furniture back in place. I called Chavez after the next day no one came out. Then he called me and told me that some guys came out but my gates were locked. I thought this was strange because my gates only are locked by me. When I got home the gates were unlocked. I called him back and he said the guys were going to be back the next day. At 3:30pm the next day once no one came out I called him again he said they would be there the next day. Now he will not answer my calls. Also I had to remove paper and tape from the top of my home that was not cleaned properly. If you want quality work from start to finish do NOT hire Chavez. Also he quoted me 450.00 for some sheet rock repair and I received two other quotes that were both 100.00 dollars cheaper. He was supposed to refinish my front door also. Once I saw how they were going to perform the work I changed my mind. They were not going to remove the door in order to sand it properly. They were going to do the job while it was still on the hinges. I'm cleaning all my windows, removing overspray, and having to wait for some help to move my stone table back under my patio. Once again if you are interested in quality work from start to finish. Do NOT hire Chavez painting.

He was responsive and punctual. The work was outstanding. You can't tell where the original wall and the new wall come together. The texture and paint match were perfect!

I have already referred him to three other people.

Jose provided an estimate and was able to begin the work when I asked (about a week later). He did the entire job himself, and was punctual, helpful, congenial and proficient. My garage is attached at the front of our patio home, and consequently serves most of the time as the front door. I wanted it to look nicer and cleaner. It looks beautiful and we're very happy with the work. Because of drying time for the special applications on the floor, we could not use the garage for 5 days. This was only a minor inconvenience (because of the heavy rains).

They were good, they were here on time, they had to work some extra hours to get the job done, and they didn't charge me for the extra hours. They were very clean and tidy.

He didn't take all the wallpaper off before he painted. He came in the first day and was supposed to come back the second day but some other guy came in and put a primer on. It was supposed to take 2 days but ended up being 2 weeks. He did not spend time to touch up. He was too sporadic.

Jose returned my original call within 15 minutes. He worked around my schedule to come over that same evening to give me an estimate. Because of a cancellation, he was able to do the work the next day. I felt that Jose was very careful as he moved my furniture out of the way, covered the floors, etc. He was a very friendly guy, but while at my house his focus was the work. I felt that he did an excellent job. He ran a little short of paint the first day, and had to return briefly to finish up the following morning. That increased my cost slightly, but I still feel that the experience was very positive. I would definitely call Jose again, and will recommend him to all of my friends.

He is timely, courteous, very convenient. There were a few times he was not able to come but he called ahead of time and notified us.

Jose floated, taped, textured and painted my master bedroom and he did an excellent job. He was on time, very concerned about his work product, and cleaned up carefully. Jose speaks excellent English and also answers his emails. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Jose's work is outstanding! He was always punctual and finished the job on time. He left the work area clean when the job was completed. When he arrived, he started working immediately and kept his nose to the grind. He was considerate and very polite.
