Capmire Projects

Casey was the project manager for my townhome. The project was planned and scheduled in an orderly manner, and performed as indicated. The individual contractor specialists were professional, punctual and respective of the fact that i was still living in my home for the duration of my project. Casey was very helpful in choosing appropriate colors for painting the various rooms (I had some ideas of what I wanted, but was short on the specifics). He and the lighting contractor were great in helping me choose appropriate lighting for my needs, not only in the kitchen but in the rest of the house also. I now have a brand new home! I chose Capmire not only for their response to my bid proposal, but also based on the many glowing reviews on Angie's List. Rather than my trying to recall and recount all the details of my experience, I encourage other members to read many of the other reviews in which the homeowners went into great detail about their positive experiences. I say "many" because i spent a few hours reading the reviews and still barely made it through half of them. Capmire was not inexpensive, but I know that I received my money's worth. I unequivocally recommend Capmire to anyone wanting to remodel their home, and i will definitely use their services in the future.

After hearing horror stories about home remodeling, this was the complete opposite, and a huge relief as I was very apprehensive about hiring a contractor. But after my initial dealings with Capmire, I decided to go with them; and did not even try to get other bids. I know this was risky, but it paid off. Capmire (Cameron and Casey Capps) were very professional; and even though this was a comparatively small project, they treated it like it was their only job. They proposed a realistic job calendar and then stuck to it. They were always available to answer questions and help me with locating suppliers and ensuring that I purchased the correct items. The project was finished on schedule and was actually a little under budget even though we encountered a plumbing 'adventure'. The subcontractors did excellent work, especially with the very large tile job. The new bathroom has exceeded my expectations. Even though it is small in comparison to what is seen in a 'McMansion', the bath has all the attention to detail and quality you would see in a million dollar house. I now have a Rolls Royce bathroom in my 60 year old mid-century modern. I would hire them again; and plan on doing so next year. I have told several of my friends about them and I would recommend them to anyone. They did a fantastic job; and they were great with my pets! Great job, guys.

Since our family needed a working bathroom, Capmire Projects did each bathroom separately. They were able to combine some work (countertops, little plumbing) and make the remodel more efficient. Communication from start to finish was excellent. Cameron gave an excellent estimate and listened carefully to our family's wants and needs. I met with Cameron and Casey to sign the well written and easy to understand contract (no legal confusing jargon) and review what we wanted done before the work began. The work started on time and was completed before the final contracted day. Although given a lock box so I was free to leave the house, Casey did an excellent job communicating what workers to expect each day and approximate times they were scheduled to arrive. The workers were friendly, task oriented, and professional. The working crews cleaned up their mess and most asked for my final approval before leaving. We started this project after having a leak in the guest bathroom tub area. We had another company work on replacing our leaking pipes and thought the problem was solved. When a crew began installing our new bathtub, the leak began again. Casey was notified and the workers found the problem (cracked PVC pipe) under the subfloor. The crew took a picture with my camera phone so I could show my husband at work. Casey coordinated the extra work with the plumbing company and quickly called to tell me the additional cost to fix ($140). The problem was fixed that day before their scheduled work, which was also completed. The crew showed me the repair and took another picture for my husband before covering with the subfloor. The best part for me personally was the design advice I received from the companies Capmire Projects suggested when choosing my tiles and countertops. I was given a contact person at each establishment. I found choices that went together well and fit my style, thanks to their artistic design assistance. The wonderful lady at the tile center even sketched out several different ways my accent tiles could be arranged in my master shower. I went with one of her plans and the results are stunning. I was given a final walk through to point out anything I felt needed to be fixed or finished. The work comes with a one year guarantee in writing.

It went well. I'm pleased with how the project turned out. They bent over backwards to be accomodating. My kitchen looks fantastic.

I am very pleased overall with the Kitchen overhaul ( I had used Capmire Projects in 2011 to redo three bathrooms). There were some hiccups along the way with materials and estimates on the Kitchen, but I believe that Capmire Projects did their best to work through these issues (i'd give an "A-" if Angies List would allow it but don't see those issues droping it down to a B). I interacted the most with Casey and he is great to work with - responsive, informative, easy to work with overall.

My initial meeting with Cameron alleviated any fears that I had to working with a contractor. I don't know what I was expecting but what showed up was a polite, knowledgable, friendly, and dare I say it, normal person who patiently answered any questions I had. I didn't feel like he was trying to up-sell me anything, bully me, talk down to me, etc, and his suggestions were the valuable feedback that I needed to make the right decisions for my kitchen project. Casey then took over as the project manager and was equally enjoyable to work with. I'm not going to lie, having your kitchen torn up even for a couple of weeks, is quite stressful; but Casey managed to make it as painless as possible. It was very apparent from start to end that the crew that Capmire has working with them is happy, hardworking, punctual, and above all else, quality craftsmen. I literally could not be happier with how every detail of my kitchen turned out. The motto Capmire Projects has on their letterhead reads "Understanding Your Vision" - Cameron and Casey fulfill that promise.

Cameron and Casey were a pleasure to work with on this project. Cameron's work in gathering information to make the bid was thorough, and Casey's supervision of the project was courteous and effective. Casey also has an eye for important detail such as fixtures and color matching that adds real value. I would recommend them without hesitation.

From start to finish, Capmire Projects was both professional and friendly; very easy to work with. The initial meeting was easily scheduled and a fairly accurate estimate was made. The preconstruction meeting finalized both the design and timeline of the project as well as contract signing. As changes were made to the original materials, the final cost was updated timely. I felt the changes were very fair. At end of construction, the contract was adjusted for materials not needed/used. The final cost was closer to the initial contract price. I was impressed that they did this and didn't simply leave the price elevated. I would not have known the difference. This honesty is rare in business. The timeline for the project was realistic. Ultimately, they finished several days ahead of expected completion date. All the contractors - electrician, construction, painting, marble & tile installers were excellent craftsmen. I was impressed how they paid attention to little details both in design and cleaning up nightly before they left. This attention to detail shines in the finished product. While researching companies to do my project, I read a review that said basically "if you want cheap don't hire Capmire, but if you want quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price they are for you." The quality of their work is excellent. Their prices are very reasonable. Cameron, Casey, and their contractors are very easy to work with, and replied promptly to any questions or concerns I had during the project. My project went smoothly from start to finish. I would hire Capmire Projects any time I need their services!

They never returned my call.

I'm still in the process of using their services, but I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Received prompt response on request for an estimate. Even though they do not work in this neck of the woods they responded anyway.

Cameron came out to the house to take measurements and then provided an estimate for the work. We were happy with the estimate because it seemed very reasonable for the large amount of work we requested. We scheduled the work to start on the earliest possible date, which was about three weeks after we got the estimate. The project took about a week, and the Capmire crew was very courteous and clean throughout the project. Casey (the construction manager) was extremely responsive to our evening calls as the work progressed and as we had questions. When the job was finished, Casey ensured that we were very happy with the work and didn't have any additional questions or concerns. All in all, we had a great experience with Capmire and are looking forward to using them for our next remodeling project.

They did a good job just as usual. We have used them several times. They are always very reliable and reasonable.

Everything went great. Cameron was great on the front end and Casey was a great on-site manager. All their employees and sub-contractors did a great job and were very respectful of our time and our home. Everyone at Capmire was aware of my anal side and did their best to educate me on the work they were doing and do the job right, several times redoing tasks to keep us satisfied. Time permitting, I hope to expound upon the services performed and on how well the job went. If I don't get around to that I will certainly make myself available as a reference. And I will absolutely have Capmire bid on my next home improvement project. I can't say enough about these guys.

They started exactly on the day that they said they would start and finished on the day their original schedule showed. They were very professional and yet easy going in handling issues as they came up. I would hire them again without a hesitation.

Hiring Capmire to handle our remodeling project was an excellent decision. The Capps brothers make a really great team. Cameron handles the upfront process and all the behind the scenes business, while Casey does the on-site project management. Casey also guided me through the creative design decisions. He has a very good sense of style and gave several great recommendations. Casey was very quick to handle any of the inevitable issues that came up during the project, and always assured us that they would take care of everything. I could feel my blood pressure drop whenever I contacted either of them. We were never made to feel put off or that we were asking too much. They are both excellent listeners and really have a great sense of what will work and what won't according to your style and house. None of the typical complaints about contractors apply to Capmire. They are honest, on time, on budget with their detailed quote, responsive, and best of all - they do excellent work. All of the subcontractors they use are very good. Team Robert did expert carpentry and tile work; team Leo did meticulous sheetrock and paint work. The plumbers, countertoppers, carpet folks and electricians were also top notch. All of the workers who came to our house were nice, respectful of our space and house, and easy to have around. You have to be reasonable when you approach a remodeling project - living in a house while you are doing updates is no fun. It is going to get messy and stressful. These guys do everything they can to minimize the mess and stress. They make an uncomfortable situation as easy as possible. If you are a difficult, high-maintenance, ultra picky person; please don't call them. The Capps are genuinely good people and deserve better. To have a contractor with integrity that you feel you can really trust is a rare and lovely thing. The result of their work is absolutely beautiful - it feels like a whole new house. We searched a long time before finding Capmire because we couldn't get anyone to recommend a contractor without reservation. We wholeheartedly recommend Casey and Cameron Capps. If you hire Campire to do your remodel, you too can enjoy congratulating yourself on an excellent choice when the project is finished.

The project started on time and was right on schedule the entire time.Casey and Cameron did a good job of estimating the level of effort for the job and were very transparent about any additional costs due to change requests. A lot of coordination occured via e-mail / text messages / and the phone as I was traveling for work while the project was underway. Even with the changes requested this project was completed on time and the whole experience was very low stress. The entire Capmire team (carpenters / electricians / etc)really did a great job and we have been happy with the finished result.

It well. The renovations were completed ahead of schedule with minimal disruptions to our daily life.

This was a great experience throughout. Casey had a lot of ideas about how I could achieve the effect I was looking for and prepared an estimate and gave suggestions for people to talk to about tile selection and layout. The job was planned and I was given a detailed schedule of how the work was to progress. All of the craftsmen were on-time and courteous and did their best to minimize the mess throughout. Everything proceeded on schedule and the work was completed in a timely manner (unlike this review!)

As usual it went great. The guys were responsive, professional and courteous. They didn't close out the service until I was completely satified. It took longer than planned but not by much. The work they did looks like it was always there and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend (and have recommended) Capmire to friends and co-workers. They work with intergrity and strive to do the best job possible.

Extremely pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail , and end product. Capmire's success lies in their primary directive to satisfy the customer. They are extremely responsive to every need and request. Their input and professional opinion was invaluable. After interviewing and utilizing other contractors in prior projects, I will hire Capmire without reservation.

Casey and Cameron showed up to the first appointment early and even though we hadn't moved in yet and the place was a disaster they removed their shoes. They took the time to do a complete and thorough walk through with me - went into the attic, measured, and truly paid attention to every detail. It took a little bit of time to get the estimate back but they were honest about their start and end date. We hit a few unexpected bumps in the process but each one was handled professionally and efficiently. Our project finished early and the end product was exceptional. These guys care about their clients and the product they put out. Their crews are clean, respectful, and always professional. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Went with Capmire Projects because they gave me a detailed, itemized estimate that seemed fair. On the first day of work, they gave me a weekly schedule for work. They kept to schedule. They set up the worksite to protect the rest of the house from the dust and mess, and over the course of the project, the rest of the house remained dust free. Communication was good. If I had a question or problem, it was addressed quickly. If they had a problem, they let me know immediately so that it could be resolved. Their crews showed up on time, and worked solidly all day. The quality of workmanship was high. They did a beautiful job. A major problem came up at the very end, which we resolved together. The end result was excellent.

We interviewed many different builders for our home renovation project, but we knew when Capmire Projects set foot in our home that we had found the right fit. Because of our young appearance, many of the builders who we met with we a little condescending. Treating us as if we were wasting their time ? because how could such ?young ?ens? afford to do this scale of project ? many were in and out of our home in 15 minutes. Worse still, when we received their bids they were late or incomplete. Then we met with Cameron and Casey Capps. From they second they arrived, we knew they were concerned with what we wanted to accomplish. They were respectful and took their time to answer every question we had ? no matter how small. Then the bid arrived. By no means were they the less costly option ? much closer to the middle of the group of bids ? but their bid was detailed, organized and thorough. We hired them immediately. After spending four months completely renovating our home ? knocking down a one-car attached garage, building a new wing of our home (with a bedroom, bath and utility room) in its place, adding a brand new roof, renovating our master bedroom and bath, remodeling a guest bath, building a two-car detached garage, and adding a deck ? I can say with complete confidence that Capmire Projects walks their talk. As an employee of one of the largest homebuilders in the US, I know a thing or two about quality and customer service. I am entrenched in breaks per home and definitely would recommend scores daily, and know what it means to be delighted by a building experience. Capmire Projected delighted us from start to finish. Like any construction project, there are bound to be hiccups - our job was no different. It?s not how many things go wrong, it?s how they are fixed that matters. The Capps took every concern we had seriously and worked with us until we were satisfied with a solution. To us, this is the most important thing. It made us feel valued and like they treated our home as their own. Casey said to me on multiple occasions ?If this were my home, I wouldn?t want that to look that way/work that way.? Capmire really cared about our home and the way we felt about it. The next time we decided to tear up our house you better believe that we?re calling Capmire back ? they?re simply the best around.

Capmire helped remodel our master bathroom and expand our laundry room into the garage. As they were working in our house, we came up with a dozen other discrete projects that we wanted assistance with, and they were happy to do that for us. We are extremely happy with the final product. Our bathroom looks great, and we are very happy to have an extended laundry room with additional storage. The finish is high quality. Both Cameron and Casey are very professional, puntual, and responsive. The project finished on time (in fact, I believe it finished a couple of days early). During the entire project, their team kept our house clean, and at the end of the project, our house was left in good, clean condition. Cameron and Casey are both extremely responsive and respond to phone calls/emails quickly. They are also very helpful in answering questions about the project, or assisting in buying materials.
